Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Outlaw 29H motorcoaches manufactured January 13, 2014, through April 25, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the generator exhaust may be routed too close to the onboard propane storage tank without the necessary heat shielding. Due to the exhaust's proximity and the lack of heat shielding, the hot exhaust piping could heat the propane tank and cause it to expand and vent off any build up of pressure, increasing the risk of a fire. The exhaust exiting below a slide out room may cause carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle, increasing the risk of asphyxiation.
Thor will notify owners, and dealers and replace the existing generator exhaust pipe with a new pipe that has a different routing, free of charge. The recall began on June 27, 2014. Owners may contact Thor customer service at 1-877-500-1020. Thor's recall number for this campaign is RC000089.
I have the same issue in my 2014 Outlaw that was identified with the 2017 model year that was covered under the recall, "2017 THOR OUTLAW Recall - Campaign #21V845000". I had the external compartment outer door skin separate from the motorhome while driving.
Michelin 255/80r22.5 tires at 10,399 miles had a side wall belt break on the outside rear passenger tire. While sitting on the side of I-75 for 4.5 hours noticed that steer tires were severely worn. After contacting many different mobile repair companies, no one could get the tire size we needed. Finally found one that was willing to go to another company and buy one, come out to us and change the tire for a cost of $675.00 for the tire alone plus another $315.50 for changing the tire. There were no tires available so we drove another 842 miles to our destination. At each stop we checked the tires. When rubbing the tires with our hands, the rubber on the surface rubbed off leaving piles of rubber shavings. By the time we reached our destination the front tires are down below the wear bars. The tires were manufactured in 2013 and are still under warranty. We waited over a month before an approved michelin dealer could get the proper size tires and inspect the bad tires. Michelin sold us a replacement tire for $27.73 plus tax to cover the blown out tire, but would not cover the $675.00 we paid for the blow out replacement. Michelin would not help in anyway with the steer tires that are worn out after 11,241 miles. Michelin stated to us that they do not cover wear on their tires even through these tires only have 11,241 miles on them and they are completely worn out because the rubber rubs off. *tr
