New 1992 toyota 3VZE long bed truck blew the headgasket three times, about 6 months apart & as it was a "campaign" & not a recall the dealerships would not fix it until I called toyota mfg. each repair, I had to pay approx $1K to $2K and the first two times they used the same defective gasket! I had also complained about the steering from the day I bought it as it will not make a sharp left turn when moving slow, mostly in 4-wheel drive. I was told all 4X4'S are like that. I know better than that! my 66 land rover & 78 land cruiser do not have a steering problem in any gear at any speed. it finally stopped blowing headgaskets, but it IS still useless offroad due to the steering ! Mechanical failures on a new vehicle are bad enough, but the treatment & lies from the dealerships guarantee that I will never buy or recommend anything toyota again ! *jb
