I was riding my triumph street triple motorcycle on the highway when the bike just suddenly shut off. I lost all power and the bike would not restart. I tried to quickly change lanes to get to the shoulder, but was unable to get out of the flow of traffic. I was hit from behind by a car. the bike slid and I was injured in the fall. I had the bike towed and discovered that the regulator/rectifier had failed. the battery would not charge as a result so I lost all electrical power. the bike was out of warranty by 6 months and even though this IS a known problem with the bike, triumph refused to pay for the part, the labor or my medical expenses. I purchased a new part online and replaced it myself. this IS a common and well known problem with this motorcycle. several people have had this part fail in the first hundred miles they have the bike. *tr
