ABC BUS Inc is recalling certain 1999-2013 Van Hool C2045, 2004-2013 Van Hool T2145, 2013-2022 Van Hool TX45, 2013-2023 Van Hool CX45, and 2016-2022 Van Hool CX35 vehicles. Risk
The incorrect glaze may reduce the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and install a nontransparent vinyl cover over the window as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact ABC Bus customer service at 1-877-427-7278. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 30, 2026.
Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2000-2014 C2045, 2016 CX45, and 1998-2013 T2145 vehicles equipped with Ricon Baylift Wheelchair Lifts. When the lift's outer barrier is fully deployed, it may not withstand a sufficient amount of force, which could cause it to fail. Risk
In the event that a mobility device pushes into the outer barrier, the barrier may fail, increasing the risk of injury for the lift occupant.
Remedy
Ricon will reinforce the outer barrier with additional supports, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 30, 2021. Owners may contact Van Hool's customer service at 1-877-427-7278 or 1-407-656-7977. Van Hool's number for this recall is P1528-SB2067.
Van hool IS recalling certain model year 2002 through 2011 transit buses and motorcoaches manufactured from august 2002 through october 2010, equipped with hadley remote mirror switches, part numbers 509vh and 509vh1f. the rear view mirror switch may overheat, causing the plastic housing to melt.
Risk and remedy
Risk
Excessive heating can cause a fire resulting in smoke, operator distraction, or personal injury. an overheated mirror switch could cause the exterior rear view mirrors to not operate. the mirrors may not adjust properly from the interior switch or operate poorly. therefore, the driver may not be able to have full use of the rear view mirror, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Van hool will notify owners via its dealer abc bus inc. owners will have the choice to perform the repair themselves or to take the vehicle(s) to an abc-location for repair, free of charge. the safety recall began on january 10, 2011. owners may contact the warranty administrator for abc bus, inc. Toll free at 1-877-427-7278.
Van hool IS recalling 76 my 2008-2009 c2045 and t2145 motor coaches equipped with caterpillar C13 diesel engines. the extension pipes attached to the aftertreatment regeneration device (ard) may develop a hole, and heat and flame may escape during a regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.

As the MP10 motor protection switch (VH11472802) is no longer made available as a spare part, as of now you will receive the new INT69G motor protection switch (VH11691810) when ordering. The MP10 and the INT69G are interchangeable, but fastening and electric connection are different.

Van Hool has released a wheel-end monitoring system (WEM) which can be installed on all vehicles equipped with light-alloy wheels. The WEM is installed at the outboard side of the wheel and monitors vibrations produced by the wheel bearing. It warns in case of bearing raceway spalling by flashing a red LED on the unit. The WEM is delivered with a magnet which is used to change from "transport" to "standstill" mode.

They are caused by the protective anti-corrosion coating at the inside of the bell housing which becomes liquid at transmission operating temperature. This phenomenon is temporarily and no indication that there is a sealing problem! The lubricant can easily be removed with ordinary cleaning product.

- 10118133Service Information: Bevel gear of front axle steering system Service records have shown that the grease in the bevel gear could affect performance at very low temperatures (below -20C/-4F). If the grease in the bevel gear becomes hard enough to affect drivability, additional manual force could be required to turn the steering wheel. This would be especially noticeable when the steering wheel is turned the first times after an initial start-up. The phenomenon could disappear later as a matter of course due to the warming up of the grease in the bevel gear. Additionally it has been determined that in some cases water has penetrated the bevel gear via the sealing thereby contaminating the grease. The penetrating water will start corrosion of the bearings. This problem shows a gradual, but continual increase of the steering forces and will not disappear at higher ambient temperatures or when the bevel gear is in use. Checking the bevel gear rotation torque will help in determining if the bevel gear needs to be replaced. If either of these conditions are observed, it is necessary to replace the bevel gear by the corresponding ZF bevel gear. Old and new bevel gears are interchangeable, but note that two different types of bevel gears are used. Also note that the new bevel gear has a mid-position which should be taken into account during the installation of the bevel gear.
