Excessive valve train noise. Has been discovered to have had the camshaft and lifters in the motor are worn prematurely. 2 replacement camshafts and 4 lifters are needed to repair the issue. Loss of power in the motor was experienced. front brake switch sticking in the activated position leaving the brake light to stay on. Also affects the cruise control by not letting the cruise control engage. The only notification IS cruise control system blinks that there IS a fault in the system. Brake light IS staying on an undetermined amount of time, if shutting off at all. there has been no support of the exclusive gps system since the bike has been produced as far as map updates. Same map information IS still on the bike with yamaha giving no updates to date on their toolbox application.

- 10205995Motorcycle and scooter models equipped with a smart key system are supplied with one smart key (also called a key fob) and a card containing the smart key emergency code. Its extremely important to record the vehicles unique emergency code properly on the Predelivery Inspection (PDI) sheet as well as in the Owners Manual. Supply the smart key emergency code card to the customer during unit delivery. In the event both the smart key and emergency code have been misplaced, the only way to remedy the situation is to replace the entire smart key system a costly solution.
