Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2027 Vision Transit Buses. The 12V power wire on one of the harnesses may become damaged and short circuit.

An electrical short can cause a disruption to safety functions such as a loss of rear lighting or instrument panel warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2027 Vision transit buses. The exhaust hanger cotter pin may contact the hydraulic brake line, damaging the line and causing a brake fluid leak.

Risk
A brake fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components can increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, a brake fluid leak can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the exhaust hanger cotter pin. Dealers will also inspect and replace the brake lines as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 17, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.

Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2023 Vision and All-American transit buses. The entrance door handrail has an under-sized diameter and is not compliant with Part 1192, Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Appendix A, Chapter 3, T303.3.2, which requires a minimum diameter of 1.25 inches.

A smaller handrail may be difficult to grip, possibly resulting in a slip or fall and increasing the risk of injury.

- 11010783The 7.3L radiator uses adapter nuts, if not properly sealed, exposes the opportunity for fluid migration through threads. Primary failure seen is deterioration of the EPDM gasket sealing the transmission oil cooler (TOC) to lower radiator tank, which allows a path for coolant to leak externally. Secondary failure seen is cross contamination between coolant and transmission oil. To eliminate the possibility of experiencing this condition, Blue Bird is providing 1 year of coverage to update the transmission oil cooler interface along with a visual inspection of any cross contamination at time of completing the interface update. Please follow the flowchart within the instructions to determine if any additional repair activity is necessary and, if so, complete further repair procedures as stated.

- 10217921Cummins recently issued Temporary Repair Practice (TRP2484) for certain vehicles with DEF sensor failures in which DEF sensor replacement parts are not available. This provides a temporary ECM calibration that inhibits engine warning messages for communication errors with the DEF sensor allowing continued operation without engine derate. Regulators are allowing for this temporary calibration to be loaded in the engine ECM by a Cummins authorized repair location if the DEF sensor fails. This temporary calibration does not repair the failure therefore a final repair must be performed and the original calibration be re-installed. Field Service has been requesting an ECM image be uploaded within the support ticket as part of the diagnostics and is carried over into Service Update 2201 (SU2201). In order to receive an authorization code and utilize Cummins TRP2484, you must follow the process, as outlined in SU2201. The specific component affected is Assembly Code: 35-300 Emissions Components.
- 10210253This document provides information on the cluster software improvement to address symptoms of acceptable parasitic battery loss attributed to CAN Devices not going to sleep. This symptom is occasionally accompanied by the cluster flashing on/off on an approximately 3-minute frequency. Blue Bird and Ametek have developed a software to alleviate this concern.
