I purchased my bike a 2011 BMW G650 GS with 7 miles on it. It IS an enduro motorcycle and I was riding it on a straight away going approx 20-30 mph. Next thing I knew I was down. There IS nothing more to say than that since it all happened so fast. When I finally got a good look at my bike - the right hand fork failed or broke near the bottom. I believe that this fork failure IS what caused my accident. after reading and searching more information on the internet I see this IS not the first time it has been reported. - 10039770BMW: the sprocket carrier of the rear wheel could have a degree of run out due to eccentricity of the bore in the wheel hub. This can cause the sprocket carrier being installed under tension which can produce irregularity in chain action or lead to accelerated wear of the rear-wheel bearing. It can also cause grinding noises when the motorcycle IS being ridden or pushed. G 650 GS.
