If this solution IS exposed to an ignition source under certain specific circumstances, it can result in a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Fleetwood IS working with dometic to repair these refrigerators (please see 08e032). dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. dometic has retained stericycle inc. To manage this campaign. stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216.
Certain diesel class a motor homes fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, "certification." the manufacturers' tow hitch receiver information label was printed with the incorrect weight carrying capacity value and the incorrect tongue weight value.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The weight label on the hitch receiver provides the maximum trailer weight rating and the maximum tongue weight rating. It IS important that these ratings not be exceeded. Failure to comply could result in damage to the motor home frame, body, or hitch receiver and could cause unstable driving and handling characteristrics which may result in a vehicle crash.
Remedy
Fleetwood will mail owners the correct tow hitch receiver weight information label. If owners do not feel comfortable installing the label, dealers will install the label for them. the recall began august 4, 2005. owners may contact fleetwood at 800-509-3418.

TL* the contact owns a 2005 fleetwood excursion. While driving various speeds, a foggy substance appeared in between the double panel window glass. The rv was not taken to the dealer. The rv was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 45,000.

Most of the rv windows have fogged over and can't be cleaned as the fog/haze IS inside the windows. The winshield IS the only glass that IS clear the driver side window IS extremely fogged and interfers with viewing the outside rearview mirror. This condition can cause a very bad accident as you can't clearly see moving traffic on the drivers side. with the size of this vehicle, a serious accident could happen. Your attention IS distracted as you try to see if you have moving traffic on the drivers side and while tryingmto see that side you end up taking your attention away from the winshield. This IS a bad situation while driving on both highways, streets and avenues. This condition seems to be the norm for this year vehicle as I have meet other rv owners with the same window conditions.

Gas seemed to almost ignite before area was opened to the access panel of cooling unit and vented. I have a 2005 fleetwood excursion 39B and several windows, including the driver side, are fogging up. in fact, the driver side IS so bad that I can barely see the left side mirror. this makes it extremely difficult and hazardous trying to pass or change to the left lane. *tr

Improper installation of slide out seals on fleetwood excursion motor home. Warranty has since expired, but manufacturer refuses to pay for repair. Stated that it was my fault for not inspecting mounting screws, even though they cannot be seen from a normal viewpoint. Also claims it was neglect of care, yet I treat and lube slideout seals 3-4 times yearly. Improper installation has resulted in leaks/water damage to interior. Would like manufacturer to pay for seals and labor for replacing seals, I will pay for water damage repair. *tr

Four or 5 times to dealer, their statement, they have no clue. Also in aaa motorhome magazine this IS a major problem, fleetwood IS hiding from the public. I was stuck in mexico and montana away from all mechanical help, except those who we could gather up. Their offer to me fleetwood )) was to buy a new rv for $ 220000. The service writer,i overheard, this problem IS un-solvable and told me it was not safe for me, he obviously didn't want me to tell anyone this. *jb

This investigation was opened based on odi's receipt of a congressional letter on behalf of a constituent.the constituent reported incidents where the slide out room of his motor home would inadvertently move (extend) during highway use.odi was concerned that a fully extended slide out would degrade the vehicle's dynamic handling characteristics and/or possibly impact an object or another vehicle, resulting in a crash.odi contacted fleetwood and discovered that slide out rooms were installed in motor homes, travel trailers and folding trailers. As part of the investigation odi visited a rv show and the fleetwood paxinos plant to examine slide outs in various new make and model vehicles and gain an understanding of how the systems work.during the investigation odi learned that there are two methods used to extend slide out rooms.some manufacturers use hydraulic systems and others, such as fleetwood, use an electric motor.
