To manage this campaign. stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216.
Certain diesel class a motor homes fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, "certification." the manufacturers' tow hitch receiver information label was printed with the incorrect weight carrying capacity value and the incorrect tongue weight value.
The weight label on the hitch receiver provides the maximum trailer weight rating and the maximum tongue weight rating. It IS important that these ratings not be exceeded. Failure to comply could result in damage to the motor home frame, body, or hitch receiver and could cause unstable driving and handling characteristrics which may result in a vehicle crash.
Fleetwood will mail owners the correct tow hitch receiver weight information label. If owners do not feel comfortable installing the label, dealers will install the label for them. the recall began august 4, 2005. owners may contact fleetwood at 800-509-3418.
We have a 2005 fleetwood providence 39S! All of our windows are fogged up! They started fogging up in 2008 and have progressively gotten worse! It IS so bad my husband can barely see out of the driver or passenger side window! Sometimes I have to open the door to see if it's clear! This should not be happening! I wish fleetwood would stand behind their products!
Tl*the contact owns a 2005 fleetwood providence. The contact stated that all of the windows in the vehicle became covered with fog which made it difficult to see out of the drivers side window. the windows were dual pane and the contact was concerned that the moisture trapped between the panes caused the fog to appear. the manufacturer stated that the company that installed the windows had gone out of business and they were unable to assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The current and failure mileage was approximately 34,000.
All the stationay windows are "fogging up" in my 2005 fleetwood motor home. The driver side window I can hardly see the rear view mirror through the glass. because I can't see outer vehicle. My concern IS the driver's side window IS a safety concern.. I called fleetwood and they told me that they are not dealing with segi windows anymore.. And no recall to fix any windows.. *Tr
We have a 2005 fleetwood providence motor home. the windows are foggy. the manufacturer of the windows IS si-gi. the driver side window IS so foggy it IS sometimes impossible to see through the window to the mirror to change lanes. I contacted fleetwood and was told the motor home and all the parts were only had a year warranty. there was nothing they could do. they did send me the address of si-gi so I could send them a letter of complaint. I can not believe that something could not be done about the windows in a five year old vehicle of this quality. *Tr
The windshield on my recently purchased 2005 fleetwood providence motorhome has a leak above the driver's side windshield. The dealer attempted to repair the leak with caulking but to no avail. The dealer would not consider this a warranty repair, so I paid. The glass repairman who attempted the fix said he would credit me the money spent. But, he said the windshield would have to come out in order to make the repair and to keep the integrity of the windshield system. He explained that it IS a safety feature of the motorhome. Apparently, the windshield IS installed in a metal frame using an extremely strong adhesive. The windshield system IS designed in a manner to protect the occupants in case of rollover, that the cab area will not crush in because of the windshield design. I have tracked down some history of the motorhome and the unit was in the shop twice in 2006 for a windshield leak. Caulking was apparently used then, instead of the correct method of removing the windshield. The dealer and manufacturer say there IS nothing they can do on a warranty basis. I need your help in resolving this matter. *tr

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
This investigation was opened based on odi's receipt of a congressional letter on behalf of a constituent.the constituent reported incidents where the slide out room of his motor home would inadvertently move (extend) during highway use.odi was concerned that a fully extended slide out would degrade the vehicle's dynamic handling characteristics and/or possibly impact an object or another vehicle, resulting in a crash.odi contacted fleetwood and discovered that slide out rooms were installed in motor homes, travel trailers and folding trailers. As part of the investigation odi visited a rv show and the fleetwood paxinos plant to examine slide outs in various new make and model vehicles and gain an understanding of how the systems work.during the investigation odi learned that there are two methods used to extend slide out rooms.some manufacturers use hydraulic systems and others, such as fleetwood, use an electric motor.
