As a result, the fuse IS located in the output circuit rather than in the intended input power feed circuit, and may not offer the intended protection in the event of an electrical short to ground.
Remedy
Dealers will install a new wiring harness, or replace the mating electrical component. the recall began on february 18, 2008. owners may contact ford at 1-800-392-3673.
The transformer used to power the neon center lightbeam can overheat and catch on fire.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The overheating and fires caused by the neon transformer can result in damage to the lightbeam assembly, the roof of the vehicle, and could result in a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Mark III dealers will modify the assemblies to eliminate the neon lighting fixture in the vehicle and replace it with incandescent lights operating directly from the vehicle 12-volt battery.
The fuel filler hose or fuel filler vent hose was damaged by a drill bit used to install the dso package attaching hardware onto the floor pan.
Risk and remedy
Risk
If either of the hoses was penetrated by the drill bit,fuel leakage could result, particularly during fueling of the vehicle. In thepresence of an ignition source, this could result in fire.
Remedy
Replace the fuel filler and vent hoses and relocate the mounting hardware in the floor pan.

I did look up recall defects for 93 vehicles which stated that the interior lighting was a defect. I called ford and they seem to have no knowledge of recall. This recall IS on your site as ID # 94v128000 and the defect IS 6088 interior lighting. *Jb

I own a ford ecoline 150 family van (custom made). Well just last week it caught on fire while my husband was driving on he highway. He had the cruise control, a.c. And the radio on. I has never happened to us before. I don't know if it did to the prior owners. Needless to say that when help arrived it was to late the van was totaled.

While changing my oil I had noticed that the power steering hose was in contact with the frame of the vehicle and wear marks were evident. If a piece of rubber hose was not placed around the hose failure of the hose would have taken place.*ak

I recently purchased the vehicle and when examining the underside of the vehicle I noticed stains on fuel lines and fuel tank from leakage. 1.THE fuel return hose IS badly cracked near the fuel tank and has been leaking. 2. The floor of the vehicle directly above the fuel return line IS stained from fuel which appears to have been sprayed upward from the fuel line. 3. There appears to have been leakage onto the top of the fuel tank which has flowed down the side of the tank, possibly from the spray from the fuel return line or bad gaskets on the top of the fuel tank . 4. There are 2 deep cracks in the rubber hose which runs from the fuel filler to the tank, there IS no sign of leakage from these cracks. I felt that these problems should not be appearing on a 1993 vehicle and that I should notify nhtsa of these problems. thank you, doug nelson

1ST blewout on the highway at 55 mph and shed the tread. No physical damage. The second tire only 3 weeks later had a damaged tread that was not road hazard. It was also replaced under warranty. The 3RD tire had a bulge on the side wall and was replaced i( dot number: tire size: p235/75/15 )
