Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 F-Super Duty F-650 and F-750 vehicles. The front axle tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.
Risk and remedy
Risk
Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the front axle tie rod assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 14, 2024. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S42.

11011812Some 2025 F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or before 10-Oct-2024 equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P20A5 stored in the PCM.
11008408In some of the affected vehicles with low time in service, the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor may experience an internal failure that can cause loss of A/C performance or function.
11006773Some 2024-2025 F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or before 22-Jul-2024 and equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P203B, P206B, and/or P2201:92 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool.

This does not indicate any previous repairs as it is used by Dana during assembly.
11000297Various vehicles equiped with 10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100/10R140 transmissions may require replacement of the seal kits (7153) when internal repairs are being performed. These kits come with 4 wheel drive (4WD) seals and will no longer include the 2WD seals. When working on a 2WD vehicle, any 2WD seals must be ordered separately. Refer to the parts catalog for the proper 2WD seals required.
10254127Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis or 2023-2025 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a gas engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with ignition system DTC(s) P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0357, P2303, P2306, P2309, P2312, P2318, P2304, P2307, P2310, P2313, P2319, and/or P2322 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to incorrect cylinder to DTC mapping within the PCM. This means the DTCs listed may set against the incorrect cylinder. Even though the cylinder to DTC mapping is incorrect in the PCM, the presence of these DTCs means that a real ignition system concern is present that requires diagnosis and repair. Prior to performing a pinpoint test for one of the listed DTCs, it will be necessary to identify the correct cylinder that has the issue. Do this by using the Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to perform a cylinder power balance test. If the results show two cylinders dropping out, begin diagnosing the ignition system components for the cylinder that is dropping out and not setting an ignition related DTC. Due to the incorrect incorrectcylinder to DTC mapping, the PCM will shut off fuel to the cylinder that the PCM has triggered a DTC against. Diagnosing the cylinder that does not set an ignition DTCand drops during the power balance test, will verify the identity of the cylinder that has the concern. If only onecylinder is dropping out, start diagnostics with that cylinder. Refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 303-07A/C.
