In some affected vehicles, the current engine control module (ecm) calibration (which controls injector spool movement timing, diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency, and idle control) IS not optimized for injector performance. Over time, this condition may cause engine wear and degrade performance. Csc letter was received.
- 10030836Ford: multiple vehicles with a torq shift transmission intermittent clunk when shifting between drive, reverse and park and/or during 2-3 upshift. Models f super duty; e series; excursion; F53 motorhome chassis and low cab forward.
- 10027984Ford: hard start, stumble with engine oil temperatures between 68-122 degreees f (20-50 degrees c). These conditions can be caused by insufficient spool valve motion which affects fuel delivery.
