Main mobility IS recalling certain conversion vans built on model year 2008-2010 chevrolet express, 2009 GMC savana, and 2010 ford transit connect chassis, and fitted with certain braun wheelchair lifts. over time and with frequent use, the roll stop latches on the wheelchair lifts outer barrier may become bent or misaligned.

A wheelchair occupant may defeat or ride over the insufficiently latched roll stop. if this occurs when the lift platform IS in an elevated position, the wheelchairs occupant could fall and sustain injury.
Remedy
Main mobility IS working with braun to notify owners, and braun dealers will repair the vehicles, free of charge. main mobility has not provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact main mobility at 1-716-759-6811.

After placing vehicle in Park, vehicle rolled away and destroyed my mailbox. Luckily I was able to stop it inches away from neighbors car. There is a recall for other years, but none for this year. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer yet, however, after talking to the dealership service department, it is a common problem and would cost a lot to repair

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Transit Connect. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle drover over the pump in the road and both the front driver's side and front passenger side wheel exterior fender flares along with the front grill had dislodged from the vehicle. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the plastic clips attaching the parts to the body of the vehicle had failed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 130,000.

The car can roll/move after the automatic transmission has been put in PARK. There are no warnings or indication of a problem and the ignition key can be removed after the transmission is in PARK. But the car can roll away and injure people or damage property if the emergency brake is not engaged. The transmission shift linkage has been examined and it appears to be fine, with no slop or mis-adjustment, and the linkage bushing (that is the subject of a recall of several other Fords of other model years) seems to be fine and not deteriorated. So, it's not the same problematic part but the vehicle roll away risk and danger to people and property is the same. This problem happens every time the vehicle is put in PARK and been independently verified by the vehicle service maintenance department of Somerset County of the State of New Jersey. This problem has been reported to Ford Motor Company and is documented as Case # CAS42939534.

When I put my TC in park at work this morning it rolled forward. I found it odd so put the vehicle in reverse, applied the brake, put it in park, released the brake, and it again rolled. I applied the parking brake, opened the door and put my left foot on the ground to try to roll it myself. Although I was satisfied it would stay put with the parking brake applied, I moved to a parking space at the outside edge of the lot with a slight down-grade and a curb, and parked with the rear tires against the curb and applied the brake. When I arrived at my desk I did an internet search about this new problem and came across information about a recall for this problem in Ford Transit Connects, however my year is not included. This worries me as I now have a known problem but cannot get it fixed under recall because owners in my vehicle's age group apparently have not experienced this or just figured it was too expensive to fix, or do not keep there vehicle as long as I have. Is there any way to remedy this? My husband and I bought this vehicle new in 2010 and have had very few problems with it, and to now have this major problem that is known with others is troubling. How many more are out there with this same problem?

2010 Ford Transit Connect 120,000 miles Pulled driver door (electric lock) latch handle to exit vehicle. Upon pulling the door latch handle a very loud buzz lasting for approximately 1 to 2 seconds came from the driver door. I remained in the vehicle and closed the driver door and pressed the door lock mechanism and all doors locked. I then pulled on the driver door latch handle to unlock the doors which resulted in the same loud buzz from the driver's door. I exited the vehicle and locked it using the key fob. Upon returning to the vehicle I unlocked it using the key fob and again a very loud buzz came from the driver door. It was apparent this loud buzz only emanated when the automatic door locks were commanded unlocked, no noise while moving to the locked position. I entered the vehicle to drive home, all doors locked automatically as designed. After parking I pulled on the driver door latch to open the door. No loud buzz, however the latch did not release and the door would not open. The interior door latch lever now offered resistance, which is abnormal. I lowered the driver door window and tried, unsuccessfully, to open the door from the outside. I also tried unlocking the driver door using the key fob to unlock/lock repeatedly, also unsuccessful. I exited the vehicle by climbing to the front passenger side. I then used the key in the driver door lock. Door still wouldn't unlock. Disconnected the battery cable to rule out the possibility the door locking mechanism was still energized. Still could not unlatch and open the driver door. There is likely a mechanical malfunction in the driver door automatic locking mechanism. Thankfully the inability to exit the vehicle was merely an aggravation. Obviously the same cannot be said if circumstances were such that a hasty vehicle exit was required. Dealer has not been notified about this trouble - vehicle is no longer under warranty and I have zero confidence in this dealerships' service department.

The center mounting of the frame has rusted so bad it broke and I had very unstable steering. The engine sits over this area. Vehicle IS only 9 years old and in excellent condition. I have included pictures. The vehicle IS unsafe to drive at this time.

As a result, the contact had to climb over the emergency brake and exit through the passenger door. The contact, an independent mechanic, stated that the generic electronic module that controlled all of the locking mechanisms in the vehicle failed to lock and unlock on more than one occasion while inside or outside of the vehicle. Furthermore, both of the rear sliding doors experienced intermittent failures. A dealer was not made aware of the failures. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 116,000.

The brake system needed repairs and it was brought supervisions attention on several occasions. I was terminated because of their vehicle being unsafe. The company that owns this vehicle IS iocafano's catering service at 1739 sam rittenberg blvd.the vehicle was traveling toward I-95 headed to savannah georgia for a food delivery when it was involved in a rear end collison.

The vehicle has a very loud humming noise coming from the front end. I installed balanced brand new tires, car does not pull to one side or the other. Turn slightly to the left and the noise disappears. Once the wheel IS straight the noise comes back very loud..

Over the years, the steering wheel has become lose to the point that there IS almost 3/4" of play at the outer edge. the steering wheel does not stay on a flat plane. this condition occurs at all times. it matters not if the engine IS running, or if I am in motion, turning, or breaking.

The power door actuator stops working or works but has a strange grinding sound. the power door lock will remain locked, cannot be unlocked manually, and requires the key fob unlock to exit the vehicle.

It was april 2016 when my car started running erratically (lose power, add power) and I instantly took it in. It was diagnosed with "rusty" plugs and coil; replaced for $845 and at 33,310 miles. Next time I drove it, rough, and high then low power. It "drove" itself, surging at a high rate of speed, then stalling. Very scary. The dealer's diagnosis? The windshield washer nozzle gaskets had not been installed, so they "leaked" downhill onto the engine. Apparently, ford knew or came to know this was a problem with many tcs, but they chose not to inform buyers. The gaskets cost $69.50. Without this knowledge and having improperly installed gaskets, I paid $845.15 plus $971.13. At 33,402 miles. Yes it ticks me off; I am a disabled senior and I need this car for my dogs and my disability scooter. Boo on ford. And indeed, when I was pointed uphill parking in a parking lot, my car surged - headed straight for a car. Thank goodness I was headed uphill and was able to stop the vehicle ... After having paid $845.15 before realizing the problem was not fixed and adding the additional $971.13 beginning the next day. (If anyone needs them I can take docs to store to scan and upload.) *tr

The vehicle was driven then to an independent mechanic that replaced the door lock actuator. The failed occurred on twenty-five occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 216,000.

While driving on dry street at 35-40 mph had car in front of me come to a sudden stop. I applied brakes and they did not stop car. Pedal felt hard and there was no activation of ABS. Steered van towards curb and reached for emergency brake but struck rear of other vehicle. No skid marks. Extensive damage to van. Insurance company totaled vehicle. State safety inspection was current and brakes had been checked by a mechanic within the last few months. have had prior issues with brake wear. Had to replace first set of brakes at about 8000 mikes. Dealer states that it was "normal wear and tear". Have also had issues with fuses for electric windows blowing and signal and brake light bulbs failing constantly. all occupants were restrained but 13 year old female in rear seat struck head on b post and suffered concussion.

I have had to replace 3 of the 4 door lock motors at the cost of $500.00 each and still the doors do not lock or unlock as they did the day I bought it. I have replace 3 of the 4 tire sensors and still have problems with idiot light. I have replaced the passenger side tail lighting system not once but twice. had the headlights fixed. the rubber around the drivers door has come loose within the first year, and I can see light out the floor in the backseat behind the driver and have since I bought it. I found the problem the first time I cleaned the interior. guess door IS not sealed or something. I spoke with the local charlon ford where I bought the vehicle and they are not the least bit interested in even talking with me about these problems. I even tried to trade it in and was told the vehicle was so new there was no resale value basis at that time. now the cooling system fuses are burning out and I am told by ford in mojave there was a tsb, but I have yet to be notified. the vehicle IS cute, easy to drive other than in the wind, but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *tr

- 10254138All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.
