I have manufactured and certified (per fmvss-218) my own motorcycle safety helmet and there has been no recall of that helmet. I still get stopped and cited by law enforcement for a violation of the helmet law. They state I was wearing a "non-dot approved" helmet. Does dot approve helmets? if not, then please provide me with documentation that I can provide to law enforcement so they will stop citing me. *tr
