We were driving our holiday rambler ambassador 2012 36 foot diesel motorhome on a trip. at the end of a driving day, a warning light (regen) came on. tried to run a regen per the manual, but conditions did not allow. the next day, started fine, no warning light so continued to travel. after less then a mile, the light came on, the engine stopped and would not restart. had to be towed over 50 miles to a repair location. after some trial and error, finally got a qualified diesel mechanic who determined the problem. he replaced 3 defective parts; the egr valve, emi valve and kt valve (after only 28,000 plus miles on our international diesel engine!) the mechanic was able to properly run a regeneration and we were once again able to travel. our extended warranty we purchased of course cleverly included the 'emission components' in the exclusion category even though we were left in a very vulnerable situation. we then had to handle the complete bill for repair and a 4 day delay.
This complaint IS referenced to odi # 10550320 on which I put the wrong vin number. this complaint IS about the manufacture not install hand holder on the right side entering the motorhome and making this a safety hazard. *tr ## vin passed ## 2012 holiday rambler ambassador motorhome ##
