My low beam headlights stopped working. My high beam headlights continue to operate. I contacted a dealership. They told me I would have to pay a diagnostic fee so I contacted corporate Honda. They said that this recall was fixed and closed but recalls do not expire and that if it was happening again, they would need to fix it. I took my car in today to be diagnostically Reviewed. the dealership told me the cause of the issue was a random ground wire they found, causing the exact part and symptoms of the safety recall to quit working. They said they would not be able to fix it unless they replace the whole harness in the steering column that the part was discontinued. I asked for a detailed explanation of the diagnostic. The explanation further proves that the issue is verbatim the safety recall. I also have a Service video showing the exact issue verbatim safety recall They also sent me home in that vehicle posing risk of crash or fire. I am waiting on corporate Honda to assign me a caseworker.
The problem I have is: There is 3 recalls for my vehicle. One is the urgent as Takata airbags installed. I called local Honda dealer on 6/27/25, they order the part and I received the email stating that part arrived. I called dealer today to schedule a replacement. When I ask how long it will take, lady say about 1/2 day. When I ask if Honda will give me car to drive in that time, she stated No., but I can rent a vehicle for $75. Dealers name: Gary Smith Honda, 225 Miracle Strip SW, Fl., 32548. Is it safe to drive this car?
I heard that some honda models between 2003 and 2007 may qualify for a paint recall. The paint job on the roof is the major issue. It's been peeling and the paint is almost gone on the roof and getting rusty. It's a safety concern because my car now looks pink and that would not be helpful to law enforcement if anything happened because my car is documented as being red.

All honda fits have a massive water penatration issue. Water leaks from even small amounts of water from rear lift hatch from cracks in the weld seems an into car along inside on both sides in to the wheel well with spar tire. This causes high humidity and consequently massive damageing moister and rusting inside. Found to compromise electrical for tail lights and Hazzard lights. Also causeing massive sweating of water vapor that leads to obscure of ability to see through rear window and through all windows. Also massive threat to elderly and children and immune compromised people because toxic mold growth is likely to form. Honda refuses to repair say they don't care how many die because of issue. The power steering indicator lights up and there is no power steering when the car is started. Sometimes the light goes out and the power steering is active after driving several miles. The problem according to the mechanics is the Electronic Power Steering Module (EPS Module).

When I went to turn my car on the key/ignition does not turn,.
I was taking a ride through the mountains and had parked and when I tried to start the car the ignition switch wouldn't turn like it was locked, I was by my self, and it started raining and my window was down , I couldn't get ahold of anyone who could come help me so I had to figure out how to start the car a different way which I had to use whatever I had handy ,,well it took a whole day and more for me to finally get it started, when I did I start smelling burning , I was freaking out , when I noticed it was coming from my window switch, I started trying to get the fire to stop and I shut off the car. so I had to take off the panel to get the part off so I could get off the mountain. I didn't know that that was an already known recall or I would have gotten it fixed sooner, I didn't learn about it until I received an urgent notice in the mail about airbag inflator . So I am here at the pye honda in dalton ga.

In february 2020, I was stopped at a stoplight and when the light turned green and I went to accelerate I heard cracking/ breaking sound and the car would not move forward or backward. I needed to have the car towed and was informed that the driver side axle had broken. In january 2021, nearly the exact same thing happened. I was stopped at a stoplight when the light turned green I went to accelerate I heard the same sound and the car would not move. I had the car towed I was informed that the passenger side axle had broken. The mechanic describe this axle as rusted around one area of the axel, what would normally be about the diameter of a quarter it was a small as the diameter of a pencil.
The left cv axel snapped and was replaced, a week later the same issue, and now the power IS no longer distributing correctly, seems to be caused by the way the axels are exposed to the enviorment and continuously snap, there was no excessive driving on the vehicle, it only travels a 10 mile radius in the city and I ve put easily $3000 into it in the last 3 months
NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
In their Defect Information Report (DIR) of December 15, 2010, American Honda Motor Company, Inc. (Honda) notified NHTSA that it will conduct a safety recall of model year 2007 and 2008 Honda Fit vehicles to repair the headlights. The recall will remedy a defect in the low beam headlight circuit that can cause a total outage of the low beam headlights.Honda's DIR states: Due to a variation in the assembly sequence when installing the wiring harness for the combination switch that controls the headlights, the wires for the low beam headlight circuit can be pulled tighter than the wiring for the other functions controlled by the combination switch. After repeated use of the headlight switch, the electrical connector terminal for the low beam headlight circuit can become worn as a result of this tension, which can result in low conductivity and cause an accumulation of copper oxide in the area of the contacts. In some cases the poor conductivity may cause the terminal ends to melt within the wiring harness connector. If this occurs, the low beam headlights can become inoperative, increasing the risk of a crash. Honda dealer's will inspect the combination switch and wiring harness and remedy the defect free of charge. Please see safety recall file 10V624 for recall details
