Tl*the contact owns a 2001 hyundai xg300. The contact stated that the vehicle would pull to the right when she drove various speeds including approximately 35 mph. She noticed the failure in october 2003. The tires were checked and aligned; however, the failure continued to occur. A local mechanic stated that the front subframe was corroded. She later inquired about recall 09v124000, suspension and was told that her vehicle was not included. She also stated that in august 2007 she noticed that the srs light was illuminated. The vehicle was inspected and it was cited that the srs light was on because of a faulty wire which was connected to the front seat and could not be adjusted. The vehicle would have to be taken apart to confirm that the wire was faulty. She also was informed that recall 02v105000, air bags, side/window was related to her failure but did not include her vin. In july 2009, she noticed that the fuel tank would not take gasoline. She felt as if it was because of the fuel tank assembly valve but it was not confirmed by an inspector. The vehicle rejected the fuel and caused spillage. She called the manufacturer and was advised that they could not assist her. The current mileage was 78,225. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000. updated 02/17/10. *Lj the transmission was replaced, due to vehicle not going into drive at times. updated 02/19/10

I have ongoing problems with my car since after purchase in 2007. hyundai case #3479162 check engine light was going on and staying on unless the battery would die. Failed emissions said to be caused by air sensors but codes kept getting whipped out.car has been to dealer countless times! Car lunges thrashing motion while at a stop or driving. The air bag light stays on at all times, the first time the lunging happened I thought I was out of gas, with the exception of the violent thrashing that occured/s. My cars control panel, headlights and interior lights dim, shut off at will. All radio & control panel lights come on and go off at any time. The radio starts changing from fm to am to cd at any given time including while the car IS turned off and unattended. The tail lights, brake lights and running lights also turn on/off by themselves whether driving the car or if the car IS sitting in my driveway. I have to get my car jumped every time I go to start it .it wasn't until earlier this year that a neighbor came to let me know that I left my lights on in the middle of the night. I knew nobody had been in my car because I was recovering from a major surgery and my car keys are always with me. This incident with the neighbor shed light on part of the problem. Now I know why my battery IS constantly dead. I just don't know why the car IS turning on it's electrical components. The ongoing problem with the battery drain has caused the codes for the car to keep being erased so there IS no way to diagnose cause for the check engine /air bag light coming on. It's frightening that the lights go on or off, day or night, without cause. This IS very dangerous while night driving! The stalling out while driving causes complete loss of the steering/brakescontrols and all power. I am terrified of hwy driving now! I could cause an accident that may kill me or someone else!the thrashing and lunging of the car scares me. The electrical IS going on at least 8X day/night. This car IS dangerous! *Tr

TL* - the contact owns a 2001 hyundai, xg300. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for a new battery and during the diagnose discovered an air module error code and the indicator light turned on. there were no prior failures or indicator lights. the contact's current mileage IS 18,000. the dealer then advised the owner that the entire air bag module had to be replaced and that he/she was unsure about the air bag's capability during an accident. the dealer and the manufacturer agreed that the warranty should cover the air bag module. due to the billing system which will not allow the repair to be entered without cost, the manufacturer IS not taking the responsibility for the warranty coverage and does not agree that the dealer should take responsibility either. hyundai also advised the contact to call the consumer affairs division who informed the contact that they have no control over the dealer. per consumer affairs, the contact would be reimbursed for repairs after four weeks. the contact was advised to request the dealer pay the labor charges. the contact stated the dealer IS responsible for the incident since it occurred while servicing the battery. *nm

1. Have had brakes replaced and rotors recalibrated twice and still have vibration upon braking. dealership says I'm not braking properly and causing brakes to overheat, which causing rotors to warp. I've been braking the same way for 35 years and never had this problem. 2. air conditioner still does not cool properly and has been in shop several times. Dealership says there IS a leak in the a/c coolant, but they cannot find it. 3. car continually stutters at high speeds, dealership has replaced numerous parts, but problem persists. 4. engine began making clacking noise about 2 months ago. dealership said bad gas was cause, but high-grade gasoline has not fixed problem. Dealership said I needed a tune-up, but that did not fix problem. dealership says they cannot hear noise, but noise IS clearly audible when accelerated and climbing hills (2-4 rpms). Dealership still says they don't hear a problem and cannot find anything wrong. this IS of major concern to me, as I'm afraid the engine will blow up while on a major highway. 5. airbag light came on about a month ago, and won't go off, although nothing IS wrong IS airbags. 6. radio has a short that causes radio to go on and off intermittently. I have had several problems with my 2001 xg300 since purchased in march 2001. I had to take it to the dealer because of hesitation on acceleration and making a rumbling noise in the engine 2 months after I purchased it. the first time the car was supposed to be fixed, I drove it less than 2 miles and it was doing the same thing. the second time the manager said he would take the care himself and after he putting over 50 miles on my care and keeping it 4 days it appeared to be fixed. more recently, the engine light came on the car was bucking while in gear and lunging while at a dead stop. they kept my car for 2 weeks to replace the induction valve, throttle body and gasket, air flow sensor. (They couldn't find the part anywhere in the country was what I was told) and after 2 weeks and $375.00 for a 30,000 mile check, the next day the care did the same thing. Returned the car they kept it 1 day stating it was computer problem and that night the car was still bucking while stopped. I will attempt to have it repaired again but I believe this car to be defective. this car has also been towed 3 times. another incident, the car cut off and stayed in the dealership for 3 days for them to replace the battery. I will be checking the lemon law criteria. *Jb

Dt: when the vehicle accelerated into passing gear the vehicle completely shuts down. after about 15 minutes the car will start back up. the check engine light IS displayed after the vehicle stalls. the problem has been corrected twice in the span of a two or three year period. the service department said it was a computer chip that controls the acceleration. *ak

If the total added weight exceeds the lesser of the limit, a label must be added to the driver-side B-pillar within 25mm (1 inch) of the original tire placard.
