Gears in steering gear box must be "sloppy". Constantly needing to correct to drive a straight line down the road. I have gone to "Safety Plus Steering Control" and had them install the proper Control arm, thinking this would solve the problem. It has not. The constant correcting of the steering going down the road is tiring. I believe the gearbox is the problem. This has been a problem ever since I bought it new in 2020, and is getting worse. Thank you
The contact owns a 2020 Jayco Precept RV constructed on a 2019 Ford F-53 chassis. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the screws used to secure the brackets holding the 300-pound refrigerator failed, and the refrigerator became unsecured, causing the 25-foot long passenger’s side slider to detach. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact stated that the failure had previously occurred on multiple occasions and the passenger’s side slide brake and Hydraulic pump were replaced. Additionally, the overhead passenger’s side bed had detached from the wall nearly causing injuries to his wife. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 2,000.
We have multiple issues with cylinder misfire codes. The smart junction box, wiring and spark plugs have been replaced but we repeatedly take our motorhome to ford for repairs. At only 5600 miles we have not been able to travel consistently.
Doghouse becomes extremely hot while travelling. it melts candy, gum, mints setting in the cupholder or cellphone tray. cannot rest barefoot on the doghouse..it was first noted shortly after delivery oct 2019. we addressed it with service department who informed us jayco would do nothing unless there needed to be other repairs requiring dash removal. Heat continues to be an issue.
Can not adjust driver seat so that smaller drivers can reach the gas and brake pedals. I am 5'1". Even with the seat as far forward and low as possible I have to wear platform shoes in order to drive the rv.
I have been having electrical issues, current parts on order at repair shop. I had some more electrical issues develop. I found that there are melting wires and the plastic storage bin above there area also has melted. all this damage IS in front of the catalytic converter where the left and right exhaust join. it got so hot to melt the plastic box. if this continued, it could easily catch fire. the electrical wires can cause a fire. my wife refused to ride in the rv now when we moved, she followed in the car. I have several warranty issue going, expected with new. this issue IS very serious and needs immediate attention. please follow up with questions or request for more information.
