On 5/19/08, another employee informed me that my rear driver's side tire was flat in our company parking lot. I am a member of aarp motoring plan and called to have the flat changed. a company called roadrunner road service was dispatched. the employee, raheem, from roadrunner road service told me that for an addition $20, he could plug the tire, reinflate it and put it back on the car. I went back into my plant to get the addition money to pay for the repair and did not see him place the tire back on the car. everything appeared fine with the tire when I paid him the addition monies. when I left at the end of the day, approx. 3 hours later, the tire was still inflated and appeared normal. as I was driving a short distance the tire was making a horrible sound. it sounded like it was flat again. I pulled over but the tire still looked inflated and normal. I thought that the plug just needed to be driven on. it continued to make the horrible noise and shaking so I took my car to firestone. one of the mechanics took it for a test drive and stopped immediately. he got my tire iron out of my truck and tightened the lug nuts. he stated that the person who put my tire back onto the car forgot to tighten the lug nuts and the tire was ready to fall off. he also stated I was lucky that I did not have an accident. I called roadrunner road service, 918-443-2054 or 215-949-9727, immediately the next day, 5/20/08, and spoke to a kim. she took my complaint and told me her manager would call me back immediately. I have called 6 times in the last 8 days and get the same answer, "my manager has your number and will call you back. she even gave me the number for the repairman, raheem, 610-202-6389 and he was rude and refused to address my complaint to take responsibility. this was a very dangerous situation over simple neglect. I expect some acknowledgement and reimbursement of the $20, I still had to go to another service facility to have the problem fixed. *tr

Mitsubishi 2001 eclipse GT with sportronic shifter with less than 35K the transmission failed while traveling along a busy 5 lane ca hwy on 12/18 monday at around 5:15 pm (peak commute time). *jb

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle stalled eight times while driving at various speeds and while idling. the vehicle started back each time after 10-15 minutes. this happens randomly. the vehicle has been to the dealership once and they could not duplicate the problem. there IS an nhtsa recall, # 00v299001, regarding the engine and engine cooling: engine. the vin was not included in the recall.

All of the wheels on my eclipse spyder are damaged from normal driving. Mitsubishi claims I have hit pot holes, curbs, etc.but I have not. Making a u-turn in a parking lot caused 4 "waves" in my rear drivers side wheel and caused my tire to go flat.

All 4 alloy wheels developed a dent in them. The rear passenger side wheel dent was so severe that it resulted in the tire leaking air because it was not able to form a proper seal. dealership was contacted.*ak

The rims on our daughters 2001 mitsubishi eclipse are bent really bad and it IS causing the tires to go flat. We have replaced one a couple of years ago and now the rest of them are bent to the point they need to be replaced before the tires fall off. It looks like someone took a can opener and pulled them back.*jb

I asked the mitsubishi dealers in my area and they said I must have hit something to create the problem. I did not. While driving, the consumer heard a noise coming from the passenger side tire. the consumer pulled over to the shoulder and noticed that the passenger side rear rim had sheared off. this caused the tire to go flat. the driver was able to change the tire and drove it to the dealer for inspection. the mechanic informed the consumer that a problem could not be determine at this time, but the mechanic took the rim and shipped it off to the manufacturer for testing. please fill in additional information. *jb

I am having to replace the second rim within 6 months because of dents in the rim. the dents are not caused by hitting anything. it IS under normal driving conditions. at 400+ dollars a piece for these rims: mitsubishi, as well as, daimler chrysler should be spanked 400 times each for their gross negligence. it does not take a genius to realize the hazards this places myself and my family in. I will be keeping a copy of this form for my records as proof in case of my or my families death(s) caused by these dangerous rims. *la

The rims on vehicle were damaged, consumer noticed that the front passenger side had three different areas that were bent and separating from the tire, they looked as if the were folding in from pressure, the front driver side also were showing signs, the dealers explanation was that consumer probably hit a pothole or went over a speed bump to cause the damage, vehicle was then taken to a firestone dealer and mechanic stated that the low profile tires that were put on vehicle were put on a very soft aluminum rim, which can not support the normal wear and tear of normal road conditions without collapsing from pressure.*jb
