When it's cold I get frost inside my vehicle I replaced my windshield because I thought air was getting inside to cause the frost but after getting it replaced same issue water is leaking in and causing moisture and causing my vehicle not wanting to start because it's doing something to the battery
I have a wire that burned-out and it controls my windows, sunroof,my ac controls, and then also my transmission IS shutering
While driving, the car will automatically shift into 1st gear. Steering will then be disabled to the point of crash. Transmission/computer issue. Major issue with Saturn Outlooks.
I just purchased this vehicle & on my way home with it the check engine light came on. I hooked up the diagnostic code scanner on the car and it threw several different codes PO700, PO752, PO420. There are specific transmission issues with this particular year, make, and model. My car has the exact same symptoms as the others that were recalled so why has mine not been recalled as well? It's malfunctioning just as the others described in the recall so clearly this is a common issue with these particular vehicles. I feel my car should be covered as part of the safety recall on the transmission and I need it repaired as soon as possible.
Water IS leaking into the vehicle cause electrical malfunctioning. Water IS collecting into the battery compartment. Electrical problems caused by water include radio, lights; dashboard( shuts off for a few seconds then comes back on) and interior, door locks, stability track malfunction at which point the car will shake and shut itself off while being driven above 40 mph.
The vehicles automatic transmission was not shifting appropriately with fluctuating changes of speeds, then the car would not maintain a safe speed to exit the freeway. After parking I called a tow truck and had it delivered to the closest dealer where they had put in a rebuilt transmission when the vehicle had 90,223 miles back in 2013. Now, less than 50,000 miles later the dealership IS telling me the vehicle needs another transmission at the cost of $5,500. If a vehicle only gets 50,000 miles out of a transmission somethings not right! I have my receipts from the first transmission that clearly indicate the mileage.
After I turn on my headlights they will be fine for a bit and then one will go out and sometimes the other will follow suit. It can be either if them. Sometimes I can turn the lights on and then off and it will come back on. *tr
Hi! I recently bought a car from a dealership called epb auto. The car I purchased was describes as having no recalls nor other problems besides the ABS light (which I was informed by the dealer would go off with new tires) on and a check engine light. The dealer specified that the check engine was just the gas cap. Which he claimed that the mechanic read with his computer. I was told there was no problems, also claimed he'd replace the windshield. Which he did not. I tried to call to explain the situation. He claimed the mobile mechanic won't be able to come out until monday. My whole vitality relies on that vehicle and I cannot find a mechanic that will fix the recalls. Please help! Recalls include the timing chain and timing tensioner, windshield, liftgate, air bag sensors, electrical system failures.
Purchased this vehicle and the air conditioning system doesn't work, owners manual says it IS the exterior hvac sensor. After plenty of research have discovered it IS a huge problem with the 2007 saturn outlook. Many complaints are of people replacing this sensor numerpus times only to have the sensor malfunction shortly after. It IS suggested that the sensor be repositioned elsewhere on the vehicle. With 100+ temps and no way to cool this vehicle it IS a danger to its occupants, especially being an 8 seater most likely to have small children in the back where the heat gets unbearable. Now that summer IS hitting we can hardly drive too far because my 1 year old son turms bright red from the heat.
Air bag sensor in passenger seat fails intermittently and light sup the air bag sensor light on the dashboard, and disables the passenger side front airbag, even when an adult passenger IS occupying the seat. This can happen whenever the car IS powered on.
Airbag light has been lit up for awhile now. they say I need a new sensor. IS this not the same issue from a previous recall? Why does this not show up under that recall?
My passenger low beam headlight has burnt out and has been replaced at least 4 times in 1 month. It's currently 12/15/19 and it's burnt out as we speak
TL* the contact owns a 2007 saturn outlook. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. Jack phelan chevrolet (located at 4000 s harlem ace, lyons, il 60534, 708-954-8003) informed the contact that the ABS module may need replacing. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
When I turn on headlight only one side work when I turn on high beams they come on it's a wiring issue
The rear lift gate or strut support for the hatch of my 2007 saturn, outlook gradually fell on my son and I while putting the groceries in the car at walmart more than a few months ago; now the hatch no longer holds its weight and drops when you try to lift it, because it IS pretty heavy, so as of today, I have not used the hatch for many months now, because it IS not safe. I have called a few dealers that deal with saturn, GMC even buick and they all say that they do not work on vehicles over 10 years. (?) one of the mechanics said that he thought there was a recall on the lift gate like 3 years ago.? I am to the point that I might as well find a local mechanic to fix the lift gate or strut for the hatch. also, the passenger side air bag light has been on since january or february of 2019 and it won't turn off or reset?
Service air bag light randomly came on
Takata recall. I can not get gm dealership to correct my engine light toturn off and give a correct diagnostic. They have worked on my SUV serval times, they sell sell me parts and work than less than a month eng light comes back on. They try to sell me another car. Will not correct. Will not do diagnostic ( gm cars center request). Rt 24 shut down, tow to home
I was driving on the highway. I drove into some water on the road and lost steering. The wheel became very very hard to steer. Then it happened a few more time on the highway. Tonight, driving home in the rain and went threw a puddle of water on the road. Lost steering ability and had to stop the car in the middle of the road. I could not make my turn for the steering was some hard. I also noticed that the charging light came on as well when I went threw this puddle of water. the should be a recall a.s.a.p. this should not happen
Near 130000 miles passenger side airbag stop working near 139000 miles driver side airbag stop working as of today no airbags working
The passenger airbag sensor in the seat does not work. I had this issue in the past, I had purchased an extended warranty but still had to pay the $250 deductible for it to be fixed. I was told by the dealer that it must have gotten wet. I can tell you at that time 100% it did not get wet. And even if the seat had gotten wet (which sometimes things get spilled) it should not have affected the sensor i.e it should be incased somehow to protect it from moisture. I now have the same issue again and the warning light has been on for some time. I do not have thousands of dollars to fix the sensor which IS how much the dealer charges for this repair, the vehicle being 12 years old isn't even worth a whole lot more than what it would cost to have the dealer fix it. I have looked into the issue and there and a lot of people with the same complaint. Gm should have to replace these sensors since it IS a safety issue without charging its customers a ridiculous amount of money. I have owned this car since it was new for the record.
Receiving message on dash display: engine power reduced, service stabilitrak, service traction control. notice a sever drop in engine power and will practically not move if put in gear. typically noticed when starting vehicle and pulling away. can turn vehicle off for several minutes and issue IS not experienced. (Until the next time) there IS no typical combination of events that happen before issue occurs, random. have checked forums online and seems to be a common problem with this and other similar vehicles from gm (outlook, acadia, enclave, traverse)
When starting the stabilitrak light comes on and the buzzer goes off, then the check engine lights flickers off and on. This causes a rough idle like a misfire .i have had plugs and coil packs replaced as well as shocks and struts. error still remains. Mechanic says one issue triggers the other. Have seen 100'S of other similar complaints on full size gm trucks and other suvs. Hopefully soon a recall issue
TL* the contact owns a 2007 saturn outlook. The contact stated that the air bag and check engine warning indicators remained illuminated. Also, the stability control indicator illuminated intermittently. The vehicle's on star system performed a diagnostic on the air bags and concluded that the air bags needed to be serviced. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 93,000.
NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
As of July 16, 2014, out of a population of 248,453 subject vehicles, NHTSA received 473 consumer complaints of inoperative head lamp. Many of these complaints indicated that the head lamp harness suffered damage from overheating. After reviewing the complaints, ODI found: -69% (328) alleged that a single head lamp was inoperative. -18% (86) alleged that both head lamps were inoperative but not at the same time. -9% (41) alleged that both head lamps were inoperative but the complaints did not indicate whether the failures had occurred at the same time. -4% (17) alleged that both head lamps were inoperative at the same time. -One additional complaint cited wire harness damage to both sides but did not specify an outage -No crashes or loss of vehicle control were reported. -Any alleged thermal damages were limited to melting of the head lamp harness and the head lamp housing. -A head lamp would intermittently fail to come on or flickers before becoming completely inoperative. For the seventeen complaints that alleged simultaneous failure of both head lamps while attempting to turn them on or while driving, the head lamp failures likely had occurred one at a time. The subject vehicle's head lamps are connected in a parallel circuit and each circuit is fused. Therefore, failure of one head lamp or its harness should not affect the other head lamp operation. Over the last 25 years, ODI has opened numerous defect investigations of the loss of headlamp illumination.Investigations that resulted in safety recalls involved simultaneous loss of illumination from both headlamps. NHTSA does not consider the loss of a single headlamp as presenting an unreasonable safety risk-such failures are readily detectable by the driver while allowing the vehicle to retain forward visibility and conspicuity from the remaining headlamp. There is typically enough time between the failure of the first headlamp and the second during which the vehicle operator can obtain the needed repairs. Based on the information currently available, NHTSA does not believe that the headlamp condition as alleged by the petitioner indicates the likelihood of a safety-related defect that would warrant a formal investigation. Therefore, in view of the need to allocate and prioritize NHTSA's limited resources to best accomplish the agency's safety mission, the petition is denied.Further specifics can be found in the Federal Register Notice ODI complaint ID numbers are referenced on the next page.
In a letter dated august 27, 2008, general motors corp. (Gm) notified nhtsa that it will conduct a safety recall (nhtsa recall number 08v-441) to address a safety relateddefect that can result in engine compartment fire in approximately 850,000 vehicles equipped with a heated windshield washer fluid option.the subject vehicles of this investigation comprise over three-quarters of the recall population. According to gm, a short circuit on the printed circuit board for the windshield washer fluid heater module may overheat the control-circuit ground wire. This may cause other electrical features to malfunction, create an odor or cause smoke and in rare cases it may cause a fire.as a remedy, gm dealers will install a wire harness with an in-line fuse. In addition to the subject vehicles, several other gm models with the heated windshield washer fluid option are included in recall 08v-441: my 2006-2008 buick lucerne (manufactured august 2005 through november 2007); my 2008 buick enclave (manufactured february 2007 through april 2007); my 2006-2008 cadillac DTS (manufactured may 2007 through november 2007); my 2007-2008 saturn outlook (manufactured august 2006 through april 2007); and my 2007-2008 GMC acadia (manufactured august 2006 through april 2007) vehicles.gm IS instructing owners to take their vehicle to a dealer for service if they experience symptoms of windshield washer heater module short circuits. Gm's recall resolves the safety defect concerns pursued by this investigation.this engineering analysis IS closed.
