Van-con has notified nhtsa of a defect in certain model year 2008-2009 handicap school buses built on ford and chevy chassis, fitted with ricon public use lifts. the restraint belt on these lifts was designed to prevent the lift from moving, unless the tongue of the belt IS fully engaged and latched in the buckle. ricon has discovered, however, that it…

The user of the lift could be injured should the lift move without the restraint belt properly buckled.
Remedy
Van-con IS working with ricon and ricon will be handling the remedy for this campaign. please see ricon's defect report 09e-060. ricon will provide customers with a warning decal and a dvd-based training aid. the safety recall began on april 5, 2010. owners may contact ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884 or by email at www.dmata@wabtec.com.

I have called my local dealer for my car will hit a bump shut off and come right back on. Also the air bag light will not go off. I have asked them if this was part of the recall they said even if it was its to long for them to cover it under the recall ID have to pay myself. It sounds to me as this issue IS part of the recall. What can I do to have this issue fixed under the recall statue?

I recd a recall notice in may 2016 for airbag recall. as of today, oct 30, 2017, I am still told by the dealerships that this part IS unavailable and that the company processing part has filed bankruptcy and it IS unknown when this part will be available. I'm uncomfortable driving a vehicle that has been recalled because of safety feature defects. I want a resolution to this problem. 2009 chevy silverado

When I first brought the car from curtis auto sale I mention the light been on and they told me that gm had slot of parts on recall. When the car was returned to me the light was off. And since then it would flash off and on briefly but never gave me any problems until now. I was on the highway and lost all power steering please recall this part.

"Takata recall",there IS a recall on this vehicle for the passenger side airbag, my truck was parked under an awning and yesterday I noticed my dashboard was cracked in front of the airbag. Not only can we not get a 200 dollar airbag replaced now my dash IS cracking for no apparent reason, IS the government going to help with dashboard replacement which could cause more fragments if airbag deployed!! Dashboards probably cost more than an airbag and it IS all tied together.

Right rear passenger door filled with water after rain, shorted speaker thus far. unknown if other electrical systems compromised by water filled door. I fear that electrical switch in door can lead to electrical shock to child who seats rear seat because of water that was present. seals appear to be in working condition with no tears or splits. manually pulled bottom seal to drain water.

I would be driving and everything would start flickering and the door locks would be going up and down, I had no control on the gas but I could brake. so I pulled over and turned the truck off and I was unable to restart the truck - this has now happened twice within 2 weeks. the first time this had happened on may 21ST, 2016 - I was in a parking lot in san leandro, the second time this happened I was on the highway driving straight.

While making a right turn exiting off a highway, the power steering became stiff making it difficult to turn. I have mentioned numerous times about the power steering issue with the 2009 chevy traverse and it seems like no no wil do anything until a tragic accident happens. But yet a power steering recalls can go out for caprice police pursuit vehicles.

This vehicle continuously, when it feels like it, activates the check engine lite with the error codes, 2135,c2101,0300,1516. These codes puts the engine in 'reduced power mode' and at any time. It IS very similar to the gm tech bulletin 11-06-04-007b and 11273, but this vehicle ' IS not covered.…
This vehicle continuously, when it feels like it, activates the check engine lite with the error codes, 2135,c2101,0300,1516. These codes puts the engine in 'reduced power mode' and at any time. It IS very similar to the gm tech bulletin 11-06-04-007b and 11273, but this vehicle ' IS not covered. It was in the shop several times with this problem with out a fix, but now I feel it IS getting worse and IS now a bad safety issue. This can happen at any time, while cruising, at an intersection or anytime it feels like it. And it happens frequently.

I was driving my car and my power steering stopped working. I was able to pull to shoulder. Stopped car. Waited. Started car and power steering was back. Checked on line, 2009 chevy malibu have been recalled for this. Called dealer, he did search via my vin and my car did not come up as part of this recall. This IS dangerous. *js

The issue I am having IS that the service airbag light keeps coming on and going off. It has been intermittent for the past 3 weeks and today it came back on and it not going off. I have read a lot of different forums with people having this same issue. *tr

Putting any electrical ipod, phone, laptop or etc. On passenger seat sets off service air bag. I see a lot of people are having that problem. all I get from the dealership IS that gm says don't do that. with a passenger in the seat there IS no airbag protection for them. I have a chrysler also with problem as this. *js
