Van Hool N.V. (Van Hool) is recalling certain 2000-2014 C2045, 2016 CX45, and 1998-2013 T2145 vehicles equipped with Ricon Baylift Wheelchair Lifts. When the lift's outer barrier is fully deployed, it may not withstand a sufficient amount of force, which could cause it to fail. Risk and remedy
Risk
In the event that a mobility device pushes into the outer barrier, the barrier may fail, increasing the risk of injury for the lift occupant.
Remedy
Ricon will reinforce the outer barrier with additional supports, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 30, 2021. Owners may contact Van Hool's customer service at 1-877-427-7278 or 1-407-656-7977. Van Hool's number for this recall is P1528-SB2067.

- 10233467Service Information: In its production process, Bock, manufacturer of refrigerant compressors, has switched to a new type of motor protection switch for the electric motor of the refrigerant compressor. As the MP10 motor protection switch (VH11472802) is no longer made available as a spare part, as of now you will receive the new INT69G motor protection switch (VH11691810) when ordering. The MP10 and the INT69G are interchangeable, but fastening and electric connection are different.
- 10219652Product Improvement: ALL VEHICLES WITH LIGHT-ALLOY WHEELS - Introduction of wheel-end monitoring system (WEM). Van Hool has released a wheel-end monitoring system (WEM) which can be installed on all vehicles equipped with light-alloy wheels. The WEM is installed at the outboard side of the wheel and monitors vibrations produced by the wheel bearing. It warns in case of bearing raceway spalling by flashing a red LED on the unit. The WEM is delivered with a magnet which is used to change from "transport" to "standstill" mode.

As the previous Knorr-Bremse (Bosch) solenoid valve (VH11102170) is no longer made available as spare part, customers will receive a Wabco solenoid valve (VH660526759) when ordering. Both valves are interchangeable, but some differences must be considered. Consult the information in this service bulletin for a proper installation.
