Fuel pump stops pumping, and scooter dies. Then you just wait and wait until the pump finally spins up again, then hope it will pump long enough to get you home. It IS a roll of the dice, if it will run or not run at any given time. There IS a recall (15v066000) on the 2008 and up models. Mine IS a…

It IS a roll of the dice, if it will run or not run at any given time. There IS a recall (15v066000) on the 2008 and up models. Mine IS a 07 and IS doing the same thing that the others were recalled for. I don't want to get killed on this when it stops while you are in traffic.

Fuel pump fails repeatedly on vespa gts250. It has caused me to almost get killed on highway 288 south of houston when it failed on an incline and I had multiple vehicles behind me and beside me on the freeway. Worse... It IS a known issue among vespa owners and yet the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge the problem. *Tr

My son was involved in an accident riding upon a vespa. at the time he reported that it 'took off on it's own and he could not stop it'. frankly we thought that he was trying to explain bad driving or something of the sort. when we went to examine the scooter to estimate repairs we had the same thing happen with the scooter and the center stand. we currently have the scooter in our possession and the defect should be repeatable. we have notified piaggio over a week ago and they have not contacted us. *Tr
