If the air conditioner compressor clutch assembly contacts the auxiliary engine oil cooler out hose, the hose may wear through allowing engine oil to leak in the engine compartment.
An oil leak that contacts the hot exhaust system can result in an engine compartment fire.
Dealers will install a tie strap to retain the auxiliary engine oil cooler outlet hose to the auxiliary engine oil cooler inlet hose at the bottom of the radiator assuring adequate clearance of the affected hose from the air conditioner compressor clutch assembly.
The fuel feed and return lines to the engine fuel injection system were not fully assembled and locked. The lines can work loose, causing a fuel leak in the engine compartment.
Fuel leaks in the engine compartment can result inunderhood fires if exposed to a source of ignition.
Dealer will inspect vehicle and, if necessary, adjust or replace the fuel feed and return lines to the engine fuel injection system.
Fuel line IS leaking and can cause a fire. There was a recall on this part in 1993. There saying there IS no open recall on the fuel lines. The description of the recall in 1993 IS exactly what IS going on with my fuel lines. Its spraying fuel out of one of the lines by the engine.
TL* the contact owns a 1993 cadillac seville. The contact stated that there was an abnormal gasoline smell in the vehicle. The contact looked under the hood and noticed that there was a gasoline leak. The vehicle was not taken into the dealer for inspection or repairs. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they would not repair the vehicle under nhtsa campaign ID number: 93v088000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings). The failure mileage was 100,000. updated 10/10/2 *cn updated 10/15/2012 *js
The fuel line IS leaking. It could start a fire and I have children. I found a recall on this already on another site but didn't know if it would still be valid to get it replaced. I just bought the vehicle from an individual and then 2 months after this happened. Consequence: (fuel leaks in the engine compartment can result in underhood fires if exposed to a source of ignition) summary: (the fuel feed and return lines to the engine fuel injection system were not fully assembled and locked. The lines can work loose) remedy: (dealer will inspect vehicle and, if necessary adjust or replace the fuel feed and return lines to the engine fuel injection system) I have a 1993 cadillac seville STS V8 4.6L that's what the recall said about the recall on this car. I have tried to buy new part but it IS discontinued I am assuming because there's a recall. *tr
TL* the contact owns a 1993 cadillac seville STS. The contact stated that fuel was leaking into the intake manifold. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer, however the manufacturer was notified. The manufacturer stated that the vin did not qualify for the recall under nhtsa campaign ID number 93v088000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 77,000.

Brake lights on my 93 seville have been a problem since day one. I have replaced sockets and they continue to burn out, not the bulb but the sockets? I have asked other seville owners and they too have the same problem. Why hasn't this issue been addressed by gm. It IS a safety issue? *Ak
The car stalled and was towed to a repair shop. The next day it was brought into the shop. The mechanic turned the ignition switch to start, and the intake manifold exploded, sending pieces of the manifold throughout the shop. the explosion also damaged the power steering pump. It was later discovered that the cause of the explosion was fuel that had collected in the manifold due to a crack in the plastic fuel rail. Sometime during 1993 the manifold was re-designed to alleviate this problem, however, there were no recalls, leaving thousands(?) of cars with this potential problem. I did find a dealer service bulletin canceling an exchange program for the intake manifolds for this model and year. (No: 93-i-58). *la
Started the vehicle and it made a loud bang and smoke came rolling out from under the hood, looked and seen the intake manifold has a hole blown threw it and damage to the cover.*ak
1993 cadillac seville experiencing gas tank leak.*mr the vehicle's plastic gas tank experienced a leak. the leak resulted in a puddle under the driver's side rear door and a strong gas odor. *nlm
Lost vehicle braking because of brake line tubing corrosion. I narrowly avoided rear ending the vehicle in front of me by quickly changing lanes into the left turn lane. it appears as though the brake tubing was not galvanized as the pitting corrosion was severe... The car IS only 10 years old. I hope others will not be exposed to this sudden loss of a major safety system on the vehicle... The brakes!*jb
The intake manifold blew up in a puff of smoke when I turned the key, blew a hole right threw the end of the manifold! *nlm

Short in rear right tail lights; right turn signal doesn't flash when any lights (parking or headlights) are turned on. noticed same problem with many other sevilles on the road. Dealer had no knowledge of any problems. worried that this will cause rearending accidents or people pulling out in front of us when they can't see our turnsignal, or when they can't see the brakelight or turnsignal to let them know we are slowing down. please help.
While replacing the fuel filter, both rear brake lines were noted to be severly rusted. by the time the fuel filter was removed from the holding bracket (this bracket also holds the brake lines above the filter) the brake lines started to leak. manufacturer does not recommend undercoating, however dealership stated that when they replace brake lines they always undercoat the lines. now, sections of brake line have been replaced, however some sections of the line can't be easily reached and will remain in place. I'm worried that the lines will rupture when I'm driving and need to brake hard. help!
