The leveling jack hydraulic hose lines are routed close to the engine exhaust manifold. This can cause the hose to melt and result in a hydraulic fluid leak onto the exhaust manifold.
Hydraulic fluid may drip onto the hot exhaust manifold and ignite causing a fire. Also, loss of leveling jack hydraulic fluid would make it impossible to raise or lower the leveling jacks.
Dealers will replace and relocate the affected hydraulic line.
The liquid propane gas (lpg) pipes at the rear of the vehicle are routed so they contact the tag axle during vertical movement. This contact can rupture the lpg pipe and allow lpg leakage.
Consequence of non-compliance: when a mixture of lpg gas and oxygen IS exposed to a source of ignition, an explosion can result and ignite surrounding combustible materials.
Dealers will install a section of copper tubing in the rear of the vehicle to replace iron piping in an area out of the scope of the axle swing area.
While operating the engine in reverse gear, engine torque causes the engine to roll, causing the throttle modulator cable assembly to contact the floor and bind the throttle cable holding the throttle in an open position.
The throttle cable binding while the throttle IS in anopen position causes loss of engine speed control which could result in anaccident.
Relocation of raised floor support hardware on the box portion of the motorhome.
I have a '93 chevy P30 chassis with the infamous auto park brake. The system IS unsafe and I am scared of it. The system will apply the parking brake going down the road if you lose power steering fluid. Mine leaks, I have to constantly monitor the fluid, it leaks at the actuator under the coach. Gm needs to fix this system, it can stop you dead on the highway, one only can think what can happen. Please have them fix it. *jb
Was driving 65mph & heard a pop after getting onto the off ramp. Vehicle went to the left. steering had locked up. Started to slow moterhome down & then steering unlocked. Stopped motorhome & checked it. Structure frame of motorhome was leaning to the left. Had motorhome towed. Mechanic indicated the part holding wheels to frame was a "walking pole" & would need to be replaced. Been in touch with fleetwood & ford. Fleetwood manufacturer indicated it was a ford chassis & ford's problem. Ford was trying to order the part for the frame. *ak
The dualwheel axle broke away from the ford chassis and shifted from the frame causing the motohome to be off balance.
When going down hill the vehicle feels as if it IS in neutral. also, when applying the brakes, by the time the vehicle gets to the bottom of the decline, all the brake fluid IS gone and the brakes are ineffective. Dlr says it's normal. *ak

Stopped at a rest area for about 4 to 5 minutes, took the car out of park, put foot on the brakes to change gears and the brake pedal went to the floor and there were no brakes then car started to drift down the hill. *ak
