Intermittent brake lock up on 2007 GMC savana 2500 cargo van. The pedal feels hard to push and the vehicle will not slow. More pressure applied to the brake pedal then the front brakes lock up completely. This happened twice at low speeds and once at freeway speed. Very fortunate that other drivers were able to avoid a truck skidding to a stop on the freeway. turning the vehicle off for five minutes seems to allow the system to function again temporarily. dealership reports "leaking hydroboost" unit IS the problem. This IS the second failure of this part in our 15 truck fleet, although the earlier failure did not cause brake lock-up. *Tr
Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 65 mph, the vehicle was involved in a frontal impact collision. the driver and passenger side air bags did not deploy. there was pre-impact braking. the driver sustained a neck injury. the vehicle was deemed totaled and a police report was taken. the vehicle was a 2007 van GMC savanna. updated 12/28/2006 - *nm
