Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2024-2027 Reflection fifth wheel recreational trailers. The auto detect solar controller may select a 24 volt output when the electrical system is designed for 12 volts. The incorrect voltage may damage the 7-way bulkhead power center and other circuits.
While damage to the power center increases the risk of a fire, damage to the electrical system may cause the trailer brakes or exterior lightings to fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
An over-the-air (OTA) software update will be released. Lighting will be inspected and repaired as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910068.
Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Reflection fifth wheel recreational trailers, equipped with certain Curt Touring Coil Suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened.
Broken shock retainer bolt heads and washers may detach and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the shock bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 26, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910062.
The electric brakes on my new 2025 Grand Design Reflection 260RD fifth-wheel lock up without warning while towing, on both tows since purchase (XXX leaving the dealer in [XXX];XXX near [XXX]). On XXX the brakes locked about 12 times at a stop sign intersection and about 4 more times entering a four-lane highway with cars waiting behind; I had to unplug the trailer connector in traffic, leaving no brakes or lights. Not the tow vehicle (F-250 scanned, no codes; same lockup with a second truck). Blue Compass W/O XXX shows a short-to-battery fault on each wheel (Lippert case XXX). Each fix was only a controller reset; the cause has not been found or repaired and the fault returned. Locked brakes could stop the vehicle in the path of traffic or cause loss of control at speed, with risk of injury or death. No injuries or collision so far. Trailer is available for inspection; full records available. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
