Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 26V366. When using the tire repair kit, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach.
A detached bottle cap can become a projectile and strike the user or others nearby, increasing the risk of injury.
Dealers will inspect and replace the tire repair kit nozzle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is PPW. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 17, 2026. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 26V366 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Incorrect tire inflation data on vehicle information label on door sill for my particular vehicle model (Accord Hybrid Sport. Emphasis on Sport which low profile tires). From reading the Owner's Manual, I was made aware that there maybe some clarification need for the tire pressure value for my vehicle model. It was confirmed, via telephone, with Honda HQ that indeed the door sill label is incorrect. As the result, Honda HQ denied my request to have the miss-labeled item replaced. Their recommendation is to approach the dealership that sold me the vehicle first. Which dealership, also, refused to honor. I have the following concerns. (1) I look at it as a violation of the warranty agreements. The label on my vehicle is clearly defective and needs a corrective action. (2) it is a safety issue! A few years back, Firestone tires were blowing out on Ford Explorers and initially Firestone blamed it on operator errors which was proven to be false. Firestone was talking couple, maybe 3, pounds of pressure differentiations. (3) It is also safety concern in the long run. If my vehicle is being resold, without an Owner's Manual, how would the new owner knows what the correct tire pressure would be? (4) As part of that model's production, the door sill label should be readily available. All Honda/Dealership have to do is order an replacement. Why is it sooo difficult to obtain a correct replacement??? Is it going to trigger a recall because is a factory oversight???
