While trying to start my 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL hybrid that was parked on incline with 13,000 miles on the vehicle, the gear shift was stuck on Neutral and we could not even turn-off the engine. The failure occurred onXXX while parked at XXX Market ([XXX]. The vehicle was stuck on "Neutral" and the gear could not be changed nor could we even turn off the engine. Furthermore, because the car was parked on an incline, we had to apply break until car simply allowed us to have control over the gear shift function after about 30 minutes. As a result, we were highly distressed and could not even go out of the car in fear of car rolling back and crashing into another car or people. Fortunately, there was no crash, no injuries. The vehicle was taken to dealership but no diagnosis or repair performed since they required leaving the car at dealership for extended time and the dealership did not have the loaner car, which was included in the purchase warrantee. I believe this condition creates a safety hazard because the same scenario of being parked on incline on Neutral could happen anytime. The problem has not occurred again but we are extremely concerned for our safety. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While driving down the road, the engine randomly cut power and the battery died about 20 minutes later. Without any known cause, with all up to date maintenance and regular checks the vehicle stopped randomly.

Display cluster recurring issue even after repair and software update. All warning lights on while at highway speed. Initial event in July 2025 - repair done. Coincidental with recall notice related to cluster display. Blank screen/cluster display while driving on July 30, 2026 - with eventual repair within same week. But, in October 2026 - all warning lights re-appeared intermittently from just flashing to steady display of at least 2 mins. Service date (third of same issue- excluding during regular maintenance where recall update done) already scheduled 10/26/26 at dealership.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The rear middle seat's seatbelt anchors on the outside of the rear passenger seat's inner rigid LATCH system. It is permanently anchored under the seat, so it cannot be moved. This causes the middle seatbelt to overlap over the rear passenger seat's rigid LATCH system after installing a car seat, which is a safety concern, as the middle seatbelt would be rubbing against it. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? We cannot put an infant carseat in the rear passenger seat using the rigid LATCH system until this is resolved. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? UNKNOWN Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? UNKNOWN Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
Main led screen black/green out. Back up camera safety functions failed & suffered recurring failure after being serviced 3X by the dealer. Corporate now been put on notice to discuss tesolution options. Thank god (so far) vehicle has not been involved in any accidents.
I was finishing going slow into my parking space & all of a sudden vehicle accelerated on its own & hit a wall a few feet in front on me then rolled back & took off again & hit the wall again. It then rolled back & I was able to stop it.
I was in an accident back in March that I think is related to a recall announced in June. I asked that Hyundai refund my insurance deductible and they rejected my claim. I'm hoping regulatory support will be able to help.
This relates to emergency key. Key is not attached to FOB. It is separate. The key has a plastic sheath which comes off easily, allowing key to bend at hinge, and weakening hinge. Key then can separate from key ring and be lost ( I lost one of mine like this). Had an issue with car having no electrical power, could not get in, no electricity. App would not work. Luckily was close to home so got emergency key off wife's key ring. This is a safety issue since had I been away from home, in freezing weather or at night, this could have been dangerous since I would not be able to get in car. Since I am the primary driver, I now have the emergency key with me, but same thing is happening as the plastic sheath comes off easily in my pocket, and the key is bending. I suspect the hinge will break on this one also; I have temporarily taped the sheath on and ordered another key.
The heads-up display, all warning signs and the instrument cluster showing the speed unpredictably goes off - sometimes comes back on right away, sometimes doesn't for hours. The car is available if needs to be reviewed. One cannot know the speed of the vehicle without the speedometer, warning signs turn on & off randomly impairing one to judge the actual warnings, the blind-spot cameras that usually are visible on the instrument cluster cannot be seen, the randomized turning off of the HUD and instrument cluster mid-drive causes a great deal of distraction to the driver. Three services done so far - in last one they found the associated codes with the issue but could not duplicate the case. Inspected by the manufacturer. No particular warning signs - happens randomly and all warning signs turn on randomly too without any actual warning.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera displayed a solid-colored screen with a message displayed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The dealer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but the failure was not duplicated. The contact was referred by an attorney to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed.
Dashboard vehicle information screen displays "NO SIGNAL" 100% of the time, The information screen is supposed to show speedometer, tach, gas and other details of the condition of the vehicle. This has been continuous for the past 3 days, before that has happened repeatedly before resetting itself. Safety recall 26V400000 DID NOT correct the problem
While driving my 2025 Hyundai Tucson hybrid in traffic, the car suddenly would not accelerate normally when I pressed the accelerator. I was frightened and concerned because I was in active traffic and could not make the car accelerate any faster. I turned on my hazard lights, cut the car completely off, and then restarted it. After restarting, driving returned to normal. The first time it happened, the problem went away after restarting. I thought that I may have done something wrong. The same problem happened again many weeks later. I called Oxmoor Hyundai to explain that I believed this was a safety issue. I had to wait more than 30 days for a service appointment. The dealership kept my car for approximately 18 days while trying to diagnose the problem. Ultimately, I was told that they were unable to reproduce the loss of acceleration problem without the cause being identified or repaired. I contacted Hyundai corporate customer care about the unresolved problem and was advised to schedule an appointment with a different Hyundai dealership for another evaluation. The second dealership had my car for an extended period (9/15 - 9/29), but was also unable to reproduce or identify the case. Hyundai customer care has been involved throughout this process and is aware that the problem is not fixed. They asked me to take the car to a different dealership for evaluation. I don't recall seeing a warning light or dashboard message before losing acceleration. The problem is intermittent. I am concerned that this could happen again, and the sudden inability to accelerate in traffic could put me or others at risk. I can provide the car for inspection on request.
I heard a loud bang from overhead when driving on the road in August 2026. There was no visible impact from road debris or any other object. Upon stopping and inspecting the vehicle, I found multiple stress cracks throughout the panoramic glass roof panel (part number 81620-N9000). The cracks radiate across the panel with no identifiable impact point, chip, or starburst. SAFETY RISK: The panel is cracked overhead of the front occupants. The bang was loud and startling while the vehicle was in motion, which is a distraction risk. If the panel fails completely, glass could fall onto occupants or exit the vehicle and strike following traffic. DEALER CONFIRMATION: Yes. Two Hyundai dealerships have inspected the panel and confirmed the cracking. Both declined warranty coverage and directed me to file a comprehensive insurance claim. Neither provided a documented impact point or a written technical explanation for the denial. MANUFACTURER INSPECTION: No inspection by Hyundai Motor America. I opened a case with Hyundai Consumer Affairs (case #43163493 and requested a Field Service Engineer inspection. As of 9/24/2026, I have received no response. No police or insurance inspection has occurred. WARNING SIGNS: UNKNOWN. I observed no prior cracks, chips, noises, or warning messages before the bang. The vehicle is a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited with approximately 19000 miles
On 9/13/26, while driving, all the instrument warning lights came on and stayed on after the car was shut off and back on a few times. Running diagnostics on the car showed everything was working ok. On 9/14/26, The warning lights were off in the morning. On 9/15 while driving, making a left turn, the instrument panel went completely blank, with the exception of the radio part of the screen. My turn signal, speed, fuel, blind spot indicator, etc. nothing showed up. Video is available of the incident.
After denying that this problem existed, Hyundai issued a software update to "fix" the AEB issue. I had the software update done at Riverhead Hyundai on 7/20/26. On 7/27 and 7/28, the AEB system activated and stopped my vehicle. On 8/4, the system began to activate, but ended the activation before a complete stop. There was no issue with traffic from any direction on all 3 occasions. I contacted Hyundai, but they again stated that their technicians could not duplicate the issue. This was what they told me before the recall was announced or performed, and no Hyundai technician had possession of the vehicle to do a test after these most recent incidents.
Sunroof exploded on the freeway while i was driving I heard a very loud bang and thought it must be the car next to me. When I arrived home later- saw the hole in my roof.Next morning I took my car to the delearship and after assessment they agreed the sunroof exploded. They told me the car was not safe to drive and gave me a loaner. I have tried to upload images but they are too large for your portal.
All four factory Nexen tires on my brand new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid have shown rapid and uneven wear between 5,000 and 11,000 miles. The vehicle feels unstable, with alignment-like behavior. A Nexen preferred dealer suggested a possible tire defect. Hyundai Consumer Affairs and the dealership have not coordinated a proper warranty inspection, and I was asked to pay $189.99 for diagnosis even though the issue was documented early under warranty. I am concerned this may be a safety-related defect affecting other vehicles.(my 1st request to Hyundai since march 2026 all emails and conversations documented)
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the contact stated that the failure occurred. The contact stated that the instrument panel flickered and went blank and repeatedly turned on and off. No warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,987.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 26V400000 (Electrical System) and 26V316000 (Forward Collision Avoidance); however, approximately 15 minutes after the software updates were completed, the lane keep assist failed intermittently, causing the vehicle to veer out of the intended lane. No warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was returned to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 9,419.
The parking cameras on this vehicle have been intermittently failing for almost a year, most frequently when reversing the vehicle, but also when parking in a garage (forward camera). This puts me and any cars and pedestrians around me at risk every time it fails when I am attempting to reverse out of a parking space. The car's rear window is not designed for maximum visibility of surroundings. I have taken the car to the dealer 3 times to repair this defect, including one visit in which they replaced the camera. The symptom of the defect is that a green screen appears where the camera image should be and says it's not working, when I put the car into reverse or pull into a parking space.
While driving, the infotainment screen (to the right of the driver) begins to flicker. Often if turns completely black and reboots. On at least one occasion, it did not come back on at all for the remainder of the trip. The flickering movement is extremely distracting. The loss of navigation is obviously a problem if you don't know where you are and were relying on it. It is dangerous, could result in injury or death, and should trigger a recall. Hyundai dealerships have NO IDEA how to fix it. They replaced the entire screen module, which did not make a bit of difference.
Cluster information panel failed after software update was already completed. Update completed at approximately 8500 miles, failure happened at just under 15,000 miles. Currently in the shop having entire cluster panel replaced.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the lane assist suddenly steered the vehicle to the right while the road was curving to the left. The contact manually steered the vehicle to avoid a crash. The contact learned that the lane assist feature only activated while driving between 40 and 120 MPH; however, while accelerating and decelerating due to winding roads, the Lane Assist System failed to properly communicate and direct the vehicle, which the contact associated with the failure. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had been previously reprogrammed by the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 8,500.
Previously reported issues to dealership about issues with instrument cluster going black and had it brought in for recalled software updates. Received paperwork stating completion of Campaign 302 and 304 on July 18th, 2026. While driving on the interstate on August 13, 2026 I had the cruise control, lane assist, and steering assist active. The instrument cluster went completely black and at the same time I experienced unusual steering behavior which led to me going into the next lane and hitting another vehicle.
