• 10192479SERVICE INFORMATION Starting with 2010 Model Year, Infiniti vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as Permanent DTC or P-DTC. If a vehicle is equipped with P-DTCs, all emission related DTCs will also set a P-DTC if the MIL is turned ON. A listing of which DTCs that will also set a P-DTC is found in the DTC Index in the EC-Engine Control section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). If a DTC repair is performed and the DTC erased, a vehicle may fail an Emission Inspection and Maintenance test if the P-DTC is not also erased. See this bulletin for further detail.
• 10192475SERVICE INFORMATION If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair: * Check for stored DTCs. * Check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating. * Use CONSULT-III plus in Engine Data Monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. Monitor the brake switch during the incident; it should be "OFF". Please see this bulletn for further details.
• 10192314SERVICE INFORMATION Information necessary to service the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) safely is included in the "RESTRAINTS" section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for each vehicle IMPORTANT: Turn the ignition switch OFF, disconnect both battery terminals, and wait at least 3 minutes before performing any service on the SRS. • 10192294SERVICE INFORMATION Replacement Engine Control Modules (ECMs) for many newer Infiniti vehicles are now "Blank" ECMs. Blank ECMs come without software and must be programmed (not reprogrammed) before they will function. See this bulletin for further detail.
• 10192283SERVICE INFORMATION Intelligent Key (I-Key) systems on the Applied Vehicles use two (2) different Radio Frequencies (RF) that are similar to other wireless devices; 315 MHz and 433 MHz. In the event another wireless device (e.g. aftermarket alarm system) is transmitting at the same time as an I-Key, it can interfere with the I-Key signals being received by the BCM. If there is interference with I-Key signals, the following symptoms may occur: - The I-Key is not detected, causing: - The engine to not start (no response when the Stop/Start button is pressed) - "I-Key System Error" displayed in the instrument cluster - "No I-Key Detected" displayed in the instrument cluster - Intermittent operation of the buttons on the remote (Key FOB). - Intermittent operation of the door request switches. • 10192262IF YOU CONFIRM The customer reports that people on the other end of a phone call cannot hear them. Customer report may include: Voice is choppy or cuts-out, voice sounds distant, voice sounds as if speaking through a tunnel, and/or voice sounds like it's under water. ACTION 1. Replace the TEL Adaptor Unit. 2. Replace the microphone and the map lamp finisher. See this bulletin for further detail.
