I apologize in advance if I’m not using the correct form to find out this information, hopefully if this does not reach correct person you can get to correct person for me. There has been a constant gas smell coming from gas tank area since we purchased vehicle in 2/2026. I thought it was just fumes from adding fuel but have since (while reaching in to retrieve grandbaby from back seat, I noticed a strong smell reaching towards driver door and a slight gas smell reaching inside vehicle. We have not been able to locate a gas leak anywhere just the strong gas smell. I’m trying to find out if this is a common occurrence for this vehicle or if there is a recall on it for this problem. Also if there has been a recall is there a way I can find out if the recall has been repaired. Thanks for any information you can provide.

My daughter was driving this car home from college on I80 east from Iowa to joliet and almost was involved in a accident. The stearing started to lean to the left and when she had to slow down and brake the stearing went hard to her left until she released the brake. she pulled over and called me i came out and drove it home slowly. i took it to my mechanic which i thought it was an alignment issue or a caliper on rear brakes. However it was brought to my attention by the mechanic that the left side of the rear sub frame was rootted out by rust and broke almost causing a major accident. I have been to the Infinity of Naperville three times this year and muliple times over the course of 2yrs for maintence and the rear sub frame passed the inspection everytime! This should be a saftey concern for all of these Infinity QX80 vehicles in illinois that are exposed to salt with this kind of metal for a frame. This product that Infinity manufactured completly broke while driving after being inspected and passed just 3 months ago. I am also conserned about my main frame also. The 1st pic I have icluded is my rotted out sub frame and the 2nd 3rd pic is the rotting main frame!

My airbag indicator light came on almost immediately following purchase. I took it to be fixed by infiniti service department. After picking up the vehicle, the light came back on. This cycle repeated multiple times. The 4TH time, infiniti stated they have completed the "flow chart" provided by the manufacturer to solve the problem and had to speak to engineers to troubleshoot next steps. They quoted another part of the airbag system to be replaced. This time, I requested a guaranteed fix. They denied the request and stated they cannot guarantee anything. Client affairs has contributed toward the costs of some of the repairs as good will. At this point, this safety issue should no longer fall on the consumer at all since infiniti cannot seem to fix the issue within a reasonable number of attempts. There IS currently a class action lawsuit against takata for faulty airbag systems causing hundreds of injuries and even deaths. There are tons of recalls, yet this vehicle IS not on a recall list. My extended warranty, the lemon law, the dealer, and the service department have all denied responsibility of the safety airbags. They are now having me pick the vehicle up, unresolved, despite the risk to my safety. I am moving forward with next steps to file safety complaints and publically express my concerns before someone gets hurt. I want my vehicle to be considered for airbag recall immediately. I will be happy to provide any documentation needed upon request. Thank you for your any investigation into this and consideration for recall.

I've heard about this same issue from other fellow QX80 owners. Again this IS random and can happen for days at a time and then not at all for a week and then resurface. My family and I have been stranded in inclement weather, dangerous areas of unknown cities with this problem and it needs to be fixed! This has occurred 7 times in the past 2 days.
- Engine
My timing chain was stretched. This IS the same problem the infiniti QX56 had. My QX80 has the same motor and replacement timing chain part. The QX56 was issued a voluntary service campaign for this problem. My chain has not been included. Even though it has the same junk timing chain. Infiniti quoted me a repair price of $4800.

- 10192842SERVICE INFORMATION Temporary tire Flat Spotting is common on New Dealer In-Stock vehicles that have not been occasionally moved. Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown in this bulletin will prevent tire Flat Spotting. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192806IF YOU CONFIRM A refrigerant leak at a refrigerant pipe/hose joint location, ACTIONS 1. Inspect the metal surfaces of the pipe/hose joint for damage or contamination. NOTE: Do not replace a refrigerant pipe, hose, or other A/C component if an o-ring seal will solve the leak incident, if it should occur. 2. If no damage is found to the joint metal surfaces, replace the O-ring seal. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192802SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement "Certification Label" or "VIN Plate / Label" may be needed. These items may be available from Infiniti by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletinlists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192788SERVICE INFORMATION If the clip for the fuel filler cap tether becomes lost or is detached for any reason, it is no longer necessary to replace the fuel filler cap. The clip or "pin" is now available as a separate service part. NOTE - Do not replace the fuel filler cap if only the pin is needed. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192751SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps. The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Infiniti?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192737SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing the front sonar parking sensor for potentially unwanted activation (e.g. sonar activates with no obstacle ahead), inspect the front license plate, front license plate frame and if equipped, the front license plate bracket. See page 2 for example photos. The front sonar parking sensor may activate if: The front license plate is bent outward from its bracket (there is a gap between the license plate and the bracket) OR the front license plate frame is bent or loose and is hanging outward, away from the license plate and/or bracket (there is a gap between the license plate frame and the license plate and/or bracket) OR the bracket is loose and is hanging outward, away from the bumper (there is a gap between the bracket and the bumper). If any of these conditions are found, correct it by removing the gap (straighten the license plate, straighten and/or secure the license plate frame, or secure the bracket, as it applies). - Retest the operation of the front sonar parking sensor. If the issue is not resolved, go to ASIST and the related Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for further diagnosis. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192728SERVICE INFORMATION The purpose of this bulletin is to give Infiniti dealers guidelines to help determine if windshield breakage is covered under warranty or is the customer?s responsibility. Nissan North America (NNA) is not responsible for damage to glass that is a result of objects striking or scratching the glass. However, NNA is responsible for manufacturing issues such as distorted glass and cracks that are due to improper installation or damage to the glass during vehicle assembly. NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192718SERVICE INFORMATION The Intelligent Keys used on the various Infiniti vehicles may not be interchangeable between models and years. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192693SERVICE INFORMATION Windshield "foreign material" that is on the surface of the glass in some cases can be cleaned off with a very particular type and grade of steel wool. * Most any foreign material on the surface of the Windshield can be cleaned off by using #0000 super fine steel wool. >The #0000 grade super fine steel wool can be found in most hardware stores. Please see this bulleitn for further details.
- 10192681SERVICE INFORMATION Power moonroof initialization procedures for the Applied Vehicles have been revised. The procedure described in this bulletin differs from the procedure in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). At a later date and where possible, the applicable ESMs will be updated with the revised procedures. Follow the procedure in this bulletin should the power moonroof in an Applied Vehicle need to be initialized. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192673SERVICE INFORMATION Design and process changes have been made to improve battery voltage at dealer receipt. Our goal is to deliver vehicles to customers with a 12 volt battery in excellent condition. Proper dealership storage and maintenance of vehicle 12 volt batteries is essential to insuring good battery operating life and customer satisfaction. Dealers are responsible for maintaining vehicles in their inventory. 12 volt batteries in vehicle inventory should always be kept at a full charge to prevent excessive discharge during storage and so they are ready for delivery to customers at any time. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192647IF YOU CONFIRM The customer states HomeLink will not operate or has improper operation. ACTIONS 1. To significantly reduce unnecessary repairs, make sure: a. The vehicle is not in "Transit Mode" (if equipped). - Not in Transit Mode: With the turn signal switch is in the OFF (center) position, turn the ignition from OFF to ON. If the turn signal indicators stay OFF (do not illuminate), the vehicle is not in Transit Mode. b. The "Extended Storage Switch" (if equipped) is in the "Customer Delivery" position (pushed in). - The Extended Storage Switch is located on the fuse block that is located in the interior of the vehicle. 2. Confirm the customer is familiar with the HomeLink programming procedure located in the vehicle?s owner?s manual. 3. Test HomeLink operation with special tool HomeLink Transmitter Tester J-41540. See this bulletin for further detail.
