Non-functioning exterior marker lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks North America dealers will replace the PDM, free of charge. This recall began September 11, 2020. Owners may contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 20V-404.

Risk
Nonfunctioning lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks dealers will inspect and replace the rear PDM, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 18V-852.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2018 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport, Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, London Aire, Mountain Aire, New Aire, Ventana and Ventana LE motorhomes. These vehicles may have a loose power connection at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), possibly resulting in a build up of heat.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The build up of heat in the wiring from the loose power connection can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the electrical connection at the ATS, tightening it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 5, 2018. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.

Risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2018. Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Ventana, and Ventana LE vehicles manufactured March 27, 2015, to February 8, 2016, built on a Freightliner chassis. The front sway bar mounting brackets may not fit properly on the axle causing the mounting bolts to bend or loosen.
Risk and remedy
Risk
If the sway bar bolts loosen, the sway bar may detach from the axle, affecting the handling and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and dealers for Daimler Trucks, manufacturer of the chassis, will modify the sway bar mounting, free of charge. The recall began on June 14, 2016. Risk
If the tires are inflated to their maximum pressure, the rims may suddenly fail due to being over pressurized, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and at the owner's choice dealers will either install a new Federal Tag Label with the correct psi rating or install 130 psi rated front rims. The recall began on March 22, 2016. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-574-773-7791.

I had been driving the motorhome for about 2 hours, since I started traveling that day. I was traveling at approximately 60 mph straight down the highway, when all of the sudden the engine turned off on its own, then in about 1 to 2 seconds the dash system icon lights came back on as if the engine had just been started. the dash system icon lights then went off and the engine was running again.

- 10205733Check for proper torque of all mounting bolts on all electric slideout motors. If any bolt is under- torqued, remove the bolt, and add blue LOCTITE thread sealant to the bolt threads. If there is no washer on the nut side of the bolt, add a flat washer. Reinstall and torque all 5/16 bolts to 19 ft. lbs. and all 3/8 bolts to 33 ft. lbs.

- 10121936Newmar Corporation has decided that certain coaches built on a Freightliner chassis and equipped with Equalizer leveling jacks may have air bags that do not inflate correctly during jack retraction, which could cause air depletion from the air bags. Issue: Equalizer recommends starting the coach and allowing the chassis air pressure to build before pressing the ?All Retract? button to ensure adequate air supply to the chassis air valves. Failure to start the engine and pressurize the air system may contribute to the improper inflation of the air suspension system. Do not drive the unit without the air suspension system fully inflated. If for any reason the suspension is deflated, operate the ?All Retract? function on the jack panel while the coach is parked with the air tanks at full pressure.

This change caused an issue in itcs led recessed lights with a manufactured date codes in the range of november 2014 to march 2015. Lights may prematurely quit working or only have a portion of leds working within each light fixture.
- 10086618Flexsteel has informed newmar corporation that a kit needs to be installed on bi-fold pull out sofa sleepers (sscs) to prevent retention cables from getting pinched in the hinge. If a cable gets pinched in the hinge, damage may occur to the sofa cable. If both cables are detached, broken, or defective, and only one person IS on the bed lying closest to the sofa back/wall of the coach, the unit may pivot and potentially place the occupant on the floor or between the bed and the back of the sofa.

This recall IS the result of information provided to newmar by daimler trucks north america. Nhtsa#16v 270, tc# 2016-262 on certain motorhomes, the front sway bar mounting bracket may not fit on the axle mounting surface correctly. This could cause the mounting bolts to bend or become loose, which could result in the sway bar possibly detaching, potentially affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
