Non-functioning exterior marker lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks North America dealers will replace the PDM, free of charge. This recall began September 11, 2020. Owners may contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 20V-404.

Risk
Nonfunctioning lights can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks dealers will inspect and replace the rear PDM, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 18V-852.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Newmar Ventana LE and Ventana motorhomes, 2018 Mountain Aire and Essex motorhomes, and 2017-2018 London Aire motorhomes. The brake caliper mounting bolts on these vehicles may be insufficiently tightened, allowing the bolts to loosen.
Risk and remedy
Risk
If the brake caliper mounting bolts loosen, braking performance may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and authorized Daimler Trucks service centers will inspect the caliper mounting bolts and tighten them to the proper specification, free of charge. The recall began on August 30, 2018. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 18V-353.

If the driver has reduced visibility, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facilities will reprogram the Freightliner chassis module, free of charge. The recall began on February 9, 2018. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2018 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport, Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, London Aire, Mountain Aire, New Aire, Ventana and Ventana LE motorhomes. These vehicles may have a loose power connection at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), possibly resulting in a build up of heat.

Risk
The build up of heat in the wiring from the loose power connection can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the electrical connection at the ATS, tightening it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 5, 2018. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.

In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2018. - 10205733Check for proper torque of all mounting bolts on all electric slideout motors. If any bolt is under- torqued, remove the bolt, and add blue LOCTITE thread sealant to the bolt threads. If there is no washer on the nut side of the bolt, add a flat washer. Reinstall and torque all 5/16 bolts to 19 ft. lbs. and all 3/8 bolts to 33 ft. lbs.

This will only apply to coaches equipped with an HDMI/ CAT6 splitter AND the customer has installed a Geni-type satellite receiver. In this scenario, the customer may have issues trying to select satellite stations that toggle between high definition (HD) and standard definition.

In response, Newmar Corporation is releasing recall NHTSA 18V 505 and TC # 2018-401. Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with air disc brakes, the brake caliper mounting bolts may be incorrectly torqued. The caliper bolts may loosen, which may lead to the caliper detaching. Insufficiently torqued fasteners may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate, potentially resulting in reduced brake effectiveness. This scenario would result in greater stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
- 10129959Newmar Corporation has decided that certain 2017-2018 Ventana, Ventana LE, and Dutch Star motorhomes built on Freightliner Chassis fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, ?Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.? On certain motorhomes, if the headlight high beams are activated, only the high beam bulbs illuminate. The intention of the high beam function on the affected coaches is to have both the high beam and low beam bulbs illuminate together. Issue: Driving a motorhome at night without the required illumination of the road may reduce the driver?s visibility, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, there may be a loose electrical connection to the automatic transfer switch (ATS) that was not properly tightened. If the power connection is loose, it may result in a buildup of heat at the connection, which may increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
