General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V vehicles manufactured October 6, 2003, to March 15, 2007, and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V vehicles manufactured June 23, 2005, to March 15, 2007. Risk and remedy
Risk
If the flange melts, a hole may be created allowing the fuel pump to leak fuel, causing the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Additionally, leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, free of charge. GM sent out interim notices in late October. The recall began on March 12, 2015. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is 14405.
On certain passenger vehicles, the rear axle pinion seal does not meet all of the specifications and may experience a fluid leak.
Risk and remedy
Risk
A rear differential failure may cause loss of motive power and possibly loss of control increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the pinion seal free of charge. the recall began on february 1, 2008. owners may contact cadillac at 1-800-458-8006 or http://www.cadillac.com; pontiac at 1-800-620-7668 or http://www.pontiac.com; and saturn at 1-800-972-8876 or http://www.saturn.com.

The vehicle experiences a Shift-to-Park malfunction in which it does not consistently recognize that it is in Park, despite being physically shifted into the Park position. When this occurs, the vehicle may fail to shut down properly or behaves as if it is not securely in Park. The condition is reproducible and occurs during normal use. The issue first appeared in approximately mid-2024 at an estimated mileage of 80,000–85,000 miles and continues to occur. No crash or collision has occurred. However, the defect involves core powertrain and electrical systems and presents safety concerns related to reliable gear recognition and vehicle shutdown. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.

TL* the contact owns a 2007 cadillac STS. The contact stated that when an occupant was seated in the front passenger seat, the passenger side air bag sensor did not illuminate. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing the same symptom as listed in nhtsa campaign number: 10v644000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the passenger seat switch module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified, but was not able to assist. The failure mileage was 169,000.

I purchased this vehicle in 2011. within the first month, the vehicle would not start after filling the gas tank the night before. initially I thought perhaps it was a bad batch of gasoline. I filed a claim again my warranty, requested information from thomas petroleum who confirmed there was no issue with gasoline, warranty covered repair. then again in 2016, I have experienced the same issue with fueling system. please see attached diagnostics from autozone. I went to the gas station to fill a gas. After I filled the car I saw big spot underneath of my car of gasoline. I went under the car I saw some gasoline color on the fuel tank. the dealer refused to fix it under the claimed recall.

Left headlight fills with water during a rainstorm or car wash. headlamp IS foggy with moisture reducing the light output and will cause a premature headlamp failure.

Air bag light came on and the dic indicates the air bag requires service. Upon investigation, the passenger presence sensor in the passenger seat IS shot. The air bags are disabled and it's a thousand dollar repair at the dealer. rarely does anybody sit in the passenger seat. It appears that this passenger side sensor IS a common failure in other gm models as well.

. This IS my first time owning a cadillac and I must say I absolutely love it! It IS a 2007 STS so it IS older but in excellent condition with only around 65,000 miles on it. However I have been very recently disappointed by the service response from my airbag malfunction. I recently noticed my air bag light sensor was intermittently turning on and off and immediately brought it into earnhardt cadillac of scottsdale for fear of a safety issue. I received a call from steven from services who explained that the wiring harness would have to be replaced before he could even further diagnose the air bag wiring issue. He explained that the air bag would most likely not deploy in an accident. He explained that the harness itself would be $485 and only once he repaired that would he be able to further evaluate the air bag issue. I asked if cadillac stands behind the repair of such a safety concern and he said only under the warranty and also stated there was no recalls on this car model. I was very disappointed to hear a car with such low mileage would have such a horrific safety issue that cadillac IS not willing to repair or replace. I'm reaching out to you to see if indeed that IS the case or if cadillac would be willing to repair this safety hazard. I had a honda several years ago and the air bag was replaced immediately for the safety of all drivers and passengers. I'm hoping cadillac would stand behind its reputation and do the same. It appears as if there are several identical complaints about this car model and even some horrific damage to passengers when the air bag did not deploy. This safety issue needs to be recalled and addressed immediately.

The contact observed an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but was not diagnosed. The contact stated that the vehicle had a new starter and alternator. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 105,000.

Rear right brake caliper broke in half , while driving out of a parking spot I lost my brakes the pedal went to the floor and blew a whole in my rim and I no longer have brake pads, my brake fluid leaked out ( disaster. Unbelievable and I had new rear brakes.

I noticed the gear shifter locked in placed where one can not move the unit from park to drive; I receive the shift to park message on the vic visual information center. Check engine light continues to illuminate even though I have changed both O2 sensors twice. Dealer keeps telling me I need another O2 sensor. Aldata shows a software upgrade IS neede to correct the problem.

Passenger air bag warning light - dealer will not fix for less than $800.00. Same issue as 2007 cadillac CTS. See below. This was a company car built early for employee evaluation. I am sure it was the same seat system general motors IS recalling certain model year 2005-2007 cadillac CTS vehicles. Some of these vehicles have a condition in which repeated flexing of the passenger sensing system mat in the front passenger seat may cause the mat to kink, bend, or fold. This flexing can break the connections in the mat. If this occurs, the sensor may not detect the presence of a front seat passenger and will disable the air bag.

The dealer was uncertain when the parts would become available to service the vehicle under the recall. The manufacturer was uncertain when they would have the parts available. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Engine will restart and travel for various distances before occurring again. this problem has been reported on many 2007 cadillac and gm has made a recall on all 2007 cadillac except the STS model ! it uses the same ignition switch as the other models. Odi evaluated two different alleged defects involving rear drivetrain components during this preliminary evaluation.gm IS conducting a recall to address one of the defect conditions and odi has opened an engineering analysis to continue its investigation of the other alleged defect. On december 19, 2007, gm submitted a defect information report to nhtsa concerning defective rear axle pinion seals in approximately 275,936 model year (my) 2005-07 cadillac CTS, STS and SRX vehicles as well as my 2006-07 pontiac solstice and my 2007 saturn sky vehicles (recall 07v-589).on STS and SRX vehicles with all wheel drive, the front axle pinion seal also does not meet all of gm's specifications and may experience a fluid leak.gm indicated that the seal supplier made an unauthorized change to the pinion seal material.leaking pinion seals could result in loss of rear differential lubrication which could result in rear wheel lock-up and loss of vehicle control. On december 7, 2007, odi opened an engineering analysis (ea07-017) to investigate complaints of rear drivetrain component failure (e.g., fractured rear differential carrier housing or rear axle half shafts) while driving in approximately 7,600 my 2004 through 2006 cadillac cts-v vehicles.this condition may result in a loss of motive power and vehicle disablement and IS not addressed by recall 07v-589.odi identified 35 complaints (16 to odi and 19 to gm) and 128 warranty claims potentially related to this condition (see ea07-017 opening resume).these complaints are not included in the failure report summary of this closing resume. The complaints and warranty figures given in this resume are limited to those that (a) are most likely caused by a leaking rear pinion seal; and (b) resulted in an allegation of a rear differential failure while driving.the data do not include all reports of seal leakage.
