General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Chevrolet Aveo and 2009 Pontiac G3 vehicles. The vehicles may contain brake fluid which does not protect against corrosion of the valves inside the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module, affecting the closing motion of the valves.
If the ABS valve corrodes it may result in longer brake pedal travel or reduced performance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS module, free of charge, in any vehicle that did not have its module replaced under a previous customer satisfaction campaign. The recall began in late September 2014. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), and 1-800-762-2737 (Pontiac). GM's number for this recall is 14505.

Four tires of autogrip P308 40k/ag308p1402 were purchased in late november 2015 when the vehicle had 61674 miles on it. The vehicle was in for service in late february 2017 with only 69933 miles when the mechanic noticed the tires were worn to the wearbar. This was not the location where the tires had been purchased. For warranty reasons the vehicle was taken to the location where the tires had been purchased and had them replaced, the company that the tires were originally purchased from did not replace tires for free, but prorated the cost of new tires. They no longer carry this brand and claim the vehicle caused the problem. My spouse and I feel that the tires themselves were defective, but do not see any recall on this product. This IS the sixth vehicle that we have owned in our adult lives and have not experience such a quick product failure with tires. We believe an investigation IS in order and thank you for reviewing the concern.

My daughter was driving on the highway and streets the car will loose speed while your driving and stall as if it's not getting fuel. She was on the expressway and lucky she was in the right lane and was able to coast to the shoulder before the car died out. I had this problem check several times and replaced the fuel pump and fuel sensor and still am having the problem. I have an appointment with the dealer for a diagnostic test on 10-1-2015
Stopped at stop sign went to resume driving pressed down on gas peddle no power . Car was still on but gas peddle was depressed to the floor with no affect...next occurrence at stop light no power when gas peddle depressed. Same problem with my silver aveo odi #10660361 only was in motion when no power occurred .happened three times with silver aveo.
Brakes are squeaking and sounds as though they are grinding. need to push down to the floor in order to come to a complete stop.
The service engine soon light, keeps coming on, have had it checked and it indicates either a open or short circuit condition in the cooling system, a faulty thermostat heater, or faulty ecm. this same message appears in mid june and stays on thru early september. Nc safety inspection IS due now. It IS becoming expensive, and annoying. this IS a problem, and chevrolet need fix if free of charge. also when we purchased the car used, the dash lights did not work, it took two switches to fix, because of a short under then dash. appears this vehicle was welded on outside of chevrolet before trade in. radio speakers appear to be blown out, points toward welding that was not grounded. dealership says got vehicle from very reputable individual. has been a very big lemon since we purchased. dealership say vehicle was ok when they got it.

I was driving and the car slowed down in traffic. It then started to buck then die out! When I started it up again, it started and drove for a short period and died out again in traffic! I have had two or three O2 sensors replaced, even in the first year of ownership,, new off the lot. This vehicle has had the signal switch replaced, the clock went out two years ago, and now it loses power in traffic. This IS proving go be a very dangerous vehicle and I hope no one has to die before something IS done to remedy the situation! *tr
