Zf service IS recall certain clutch kit assemblies, part number sx: k70358-01, shipped to wholesalers as service parts between september 1, 2010, and march 8, 2011. these service parts are intended for use on model year 2003-2006 nissan 350Z and infiniti G35 vehicles. the sx: k70358-01 clutch kit contains an oversized clutch disc.
Risk and remedy
Risk
An oversized clutch disc could cause the vehicle to move unintentionally on the initial start-up, if the driver does not follow the installation instructions and fails to use the service brakes while the hand brake IS not applied. unintentional movement of the vehicle could result in a crash or possible injury to persons outside the vehicle.
Remedy
Zf service notify wholesalers to return any affected clutch kit assemblies still in inventory for free replacement kits. this condition will correct itself after the first start-up and usage of the clutch kit. however, if an owner IS not satisfied with its performance, zf services will reimburse the owner for the cost of the replacement clutch kit and a reasonable amount for its installation. the safety recall began on july 13, 2011. owners may contact zf services at 1-800-321-0784 ext. 6748.
Certain ck motorsports combination headlights, clear corner, bumper, and side marker lights sold as replacement lamps for use on the passenger vehicles listed above. some combination lamps that are not equipped with amber side reflectors fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.
Risk and remedy
Risk
Without the amber reflectors, the vehicle will be poorly illuminated, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.
Remedy
Ck motorsport will notify owners and replace the noncompliant lamps free of charge. the recall began on july 1, 2006. owners may contact ck motorsport at 1-909-610-7211.
On certain passenger and sport utility vehicles, the fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hose while refueling.
Risk and remedy
Risk
Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the fuel filler hose. recall began on february 27, 2006, for nissan owners, and on march 13, 2006, for infiniti owners. owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261 or infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.
On certain passenger vehicles, the circuit board for the crank position sensor or cam position sensor may have an improper solder joint due to solder deformation caused by heat stress accelerated by the existence of flux residue during the soldering process.
Risk and remedy
Risk
This could cause the "service engine soon" warning light to come on, create a no start condition, cause reduced engine power, or cause the engine to stop running without warning during vehicle operation, which could result in a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the crank position sensors. Camshaft position sensor(s), and in some cases, the variable timing control sensor(s). vehicles involved in a previous recall campaign, 01v357, are also included in this new campaign. the replacement sensors used in that campaign are also affected. owner notification began on december 22, 2003. owners should contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261 or infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.

It’s the ABS Module not for sure what exactly is wrong with it but it does not function like it should. Also if you look at other vehicles of the same model just different year why was it changed like a different design entirely. What it does is I don’t get full brake power or pressure like half at this point you stop but it’s a slow rolling stop or something. Makes me believe there was an issue when the car came out and the next year it was changed. For example my car is a 02-03 now some 03-04 manufacturer dates the ABS module changed and that’s the only one you can get new still to this year 2026 from the manufacturer and others. This problem occurred in 2024 and was told by the manufacturer or Nissan it’s a discontinued part but they sell the revised part for the 03-04+ model 350z which I think at the time it wasn’t recorded as a safety flaw or they didn’t want to repair the issue.

My car for the last year will drive 5-7 miles and stall in regular traffic. We replaced the fuel pump. I finally have enough $ to take to nissan. They came back with it needs all 2 cam shaft sensors and crank shaft sensor replaced. when I go on line and search my 2003 350Z touring edition recall, there was a recall for this problem as it appears the wires can break inside due to temp on solder joints. I would like to know if this IS this a problem that was noted on a recall and this IS an ongoing problem with this same model, why now am I going to pay nissan $1200 for the repair that should be covered. I need this investigated

My 2003 nissan 350Z was exhibiting the exact symptoms of a nhsta recall number 03v455000 ( nissan number r2202) recall. I contacted nissan dealers and nissan consumer affairs with my vin and was told it didn't fall under the recall. I then took my vehicle to the nissan dealer service department to have it diagnosed and the dealer concluded that both (2) cam position sensors and the crank position sensor, were failing and needed to be replaced at a cost to me of 378.86 which I paid and have had the vehicle back only a few days (<100 miles) but so far seems to have resolved the issue. I again contacted nissan consumer affairs and was told there was nothing they would do. I further explained my belief that the recall was more widespread than initially thought by nhsta and nissan to no avail. I have spent 20-30 hours doing online research as to what would cause the issue and it all seems to lead back to the recall symptoms. I further realized that many other people experienced the same issue but can't speak as to their specific solution and therefore thought it prudent to try and bring it to the nhtsa for further study and database information. I would very much appreciate the nhtsa assistance in this matter to have the money I spent reimbursed to me by nissan consumer affairs as I believe this repair should have been under the recall. thank you for your consideration in this matter.

My wife was driving the 350Z on the highway and slowing down with traffic ahead. the engine stalled all of a sudden. the cars behind could have smashed into her and kill her. luckily that did not happen. I searched the internet, it looked like there were many cases of 350zs stalling. internet told me that it was caused by faulty camshaft position sensor, which was exactly what nissan dealer in dublin california replaced. in fact they replaced both camshaft position sensors. check engine light did not come on when the vehicle stalled as indicated by the dealer. the engine would not start despite many tries. after 10-15 minutes or so, the engine started and the check engine light came on. some of the 350Z was recalled. however dealer indicated that my vin number IS not on the list. I feel the nissan should pay for my $674.44 repair bill as it IS very dangerous for a vehicle stalling while driving.

Purchased four (4) michelin tires from america's tire depot and received warranty of 45,000 miles on wear. Have had a difficult time getting prorated amount having received less than 20K miles and chunking of tires as a result.. Difficulty resides in atd/michelin: not wanting to replace tires without me spending another $500-$700 to have them mounted, balanced etc due to their pro ration calculation factor. My original cost was $1000! Researching the tires I found that for a number of years this problem has been reoccurring. Since 2008 or earlier. Michelin denies responsibility for producing defective and unsafe tires that contradicts the public image they have built over many years. Company places the problem with the consumer thus 'voiding' the warranty mileage guaranty that they sell with the tires in turn costing the customer untold thousands/millions of dollars.there are numerous customer complaints on the internet regarding these under achieving and unsafe tires michelin IS aware of the problem but still they are allowed to sell these tires, deny any responsibility for the defects and practice an unethical, and possibly illegal, business model.

The airbag light on the dash recently started flashing in this vehicle while my wife was driving. We took it to the dealer to get it diagnosed and they said the left side airbag module was faulty and that both it and the sub-harness would have to be replaced. Upon researching the issue, it appears that this seems to be a common problem with these cars. Interestingly enough, this same part was recalled on my own car, a 2004 infiniti G35 coupe, also a nissan product. I contacted nissan's consumer affairs dept. To see if they could offer some assistance in resolving this issue because the dealer quoted 723$ to get it repaired. Nissan would not offer any assistance because the car was beyond any warranties... True the car IS now 13 years old, but it has been pretty much a garaged its entire life and has only about 28,000 miles. There was no reason for these parts to go bad other than being defective... Considering how crucial these parts are for passenger safety, how common this issue IS, and the 350z's not so stellar reputation for safety, one would think a recall would have been issued already.

In 2005, I bought a 2003 nissan 350Z. In early november of 2011, I started having these problems. The engine would die suddenly while driving, the check engine and tcs lights would come on, and the car would run very rough once it did decide to start. I took the car into a nissan service center on 11/08/2011. The mileage according to the service invoice was 83,906. Along with the problems noted above, the service technician added diag p0340 and c1130 stored, loss of engine signal. Replaced camshaft and crankshaft sensors. My cost for the repair: $618.61. My car had not one, but every symptom of a recalled car. The camshaft and crankshaft sensor (very specific repairs) were needed to correct the problem; same as a recalled vehicle. After bringing this to nissan's attention, I was contacted by a regional manager who stated my car was not on the recall list and she could not help me.i hope no other vehicles engines shut off while on the interstate.

I purchase this vehicle as second owner with 24,000 miles. after a 2 years of using this vehicle on the weekends, I start hearing the 5TH gear grind. I did not paid to much mind because it did it now and them, not every time. 4 years down the road, it did it more often and I knew it was in for transmission problems.. About a week ago my 3RD gear made a vibration and a horrible sound and that was when I knew something really wrong was going on.. today my car lost 3RD gear, it won't take, after I put the vehicle on 3RD I accelerated and nothing happens. 5TH gear still grinds and but still work. it IS not my clutch because 1ST 2ND 4TH and 5TH and 6TH still very strong pull.. now I'm driving this car to work, getting money together waiting for the break down or transmission lock... I feel unsafe on the road, but I do have to get to work I have no other choice at the time. I hate mistreating my z this way.... 49,500 miles on the transmission..
