Zf service IS recall certain clutch kit assemblies, part number sx: k70358-01, shipped to wholesalers as service parts between september 1, 2010, and march 8, 2011. these service parts are intended for use on model year 2003-2006 nissan 350Z and infiniti G35 vehicles. the sx: k70358-01 clutch kit contains an oversized clutch disc.
An oversized clutch disc could cause the vehicle to move unintentionally on the initial start-up, if the driver does not follow the installation instructions and fails to use the service brakes while the hand brake IS not applied. unintentional movement of the vehicle could result in a crash or possible injury to persons outside the vehicle.
Zf service notify wholesalers to return any affected clutch kit assemblies still in inventory for free replacement kits. this condition will correct itself after the first start-up and usage of the clutch kit. however, if an owner IS not satisfied with its performance, zf services will reimburse the owner for the cost of the replacement clutch kit and a reasonable amount for its installation. the safety recall began on july 13, 2011. owners may contact zf services at 1-800-321-0784 ext. 6748.
Certain ck motorsports combination headlights, clear corner, bumper, and side marker lights sold as replacement lamps for use on the passenger vehicles listed above. some combination lamps that are not equipped with amber side reflectors fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.
Without the amber reflectors, the vehicle will be poorly illuminated, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.
Ck motorsport will notify owners and replace the noncompliant lamps free of charge. the recall began on july 1, 2006. owners may contact ck motorsport at 1-909-610-7211.

While driving at around 40mph, my 2005 nissan 350Z (41xxx miles) shut down completely. No power, brakes, steering, anything. I glided to a stop and pulled over as best as I could. Every indicator light came on: check engine, service soon, tire pressure, etc. I was on a flat, busy city street going straight when this happened. Prior to this, I had no indication of a potential problem. No check engine light, etc. I called aaa and after about 20 minutes, decided to see if it would start so I could move to a safer place. It started right up. I've since been able to start and drive but this was extremely dangerous. Had this happened on the freeway, it could have been a catastrophe for me and the drivers around me. It's a very concerning safety issue. I've read it IS ongoing with nissans the same age as mine. Some were recalled and repaired but I looked up my vin and it's not covered. Taking it to a dealer tomorrow but appreciate any help reporting and resolving this issue. Thanks.
At 45,000 miles the air bag light came on. dealers wants an arm, a leg, and half of the other leg to fix. this IS a common problem and there IS not a recall yet. dealer says they can start replacing parts but that may not fix the problem. verbal estimate could be around $3,200 to start! care IS pristine, garage kept, never seen rain or snow. help! please make nissan fix this know issue.
Air bag lights have been flashing for 3 years whether parked or in motion, dealership says $1500 to diagnose but believes bags are not functioning and advises to "drive safely" if I decide not to repair. Not on recall list which IS unreal this IS a safety issues as bags will not go off if in a collision according to dealership.
Clutch sticking to floor have to place foot under clutch to pop back in place so I can continue to use clutch. also, slip light comes on since nissan of bowie, md rotated my tires, in the 13 yrs I have owned no mechanic has ever done and I question it at nissan of bowie, md.
The replacement headlights bought from amazon (autolightsbulbs) are not adjustable like the ones from the dealer. I contacted the dealer I bought it from and they state that these are dot and sae certified. please find supplied
All the crankshaft senors and cam sensors failed with a total lose of power creating and very dangerous situation since I could not steer the car to a safe location. In other words I was very lucky that an accident was not created as a result of this failure. There was no warning and no backup to power the vehicle safely on the city street.

I wan't told it was a takata recall. My air bag light went on 9 times and I only have 41K on the car. Every time the dealer told me it came from the seats.
Driver side door lock won't unlock. If you lock it then try to unlock it, the lock won't engage.
Takata recall I am highly concerned about nissan 350Z wheel models. While driving my vehicle collapsed due to the fact the rim broke off. wheels are nissan stock. No aftermarket! No injuries were present. This IS a safety issue, my life and possibly the life of others couldve been taken from this matter. So far nissan refuses to be at fault. Vehicle was in motion when incident took place. Heard grinding at 55mph and vehicle collapsed at 10mph.
Takata recall I own a 2005 nissan 350 z. the airbag light has been on for a few years now. the dealership told me that it would cost 1000 to fix it. I've in florida (very humid). why has my car's airbags not been recalled?
I've experienced recently that I can't seem to fill up my gas tank full. The gas pump just stops pumping fuel after 5 or 6 gallons, and there's gas spillage all over the gas inlet pipe. It's annoying and it's happening every time I fill up. Vehicle IS shut off while filling up. I've done some research online and there are more people having this issue and nissan has not issued a recall.
I bought this vehicle used about 5 years ago. about 2 years ago I started to have a flashing air bag light on for no reason. this happens randomly usually when I just start the car up. as with most owners in the north I don't drive it in the winter so I put on around 35K since I bought it. I searched the web to see if anyone was having the same problem and they sure were. I tried the reset procedure found online and it worked for awhile. now it comes on more often and I just try to reset it again. it didn't take much searching to find out that nissan IS charging owners (my year) $600-3,000 to repair and the problem came back for some again. some even reported having an accident and the bags did not deploy. I have not had it to a dealer simply because I can't afford to replace the seats some have had to.
Like so many others that I have read, my airbag light flashes for the passengers side airbag. I am a second owner of this car that has never been involved in a wreck of any kind. This car has been babied by me as well as the previous owner. It IS garage kept and hardly ever driven. Milage IS only 52000 after 11 years!! Light has been reset but still comes back on. This IS obviously a manufactured defect and if someone IS hurt because of no action I will sue nissan as well as nhtsa for not doing anything about it!!!
Oem lights hazed from the inside so I bought replacement lights from spyder auto... Part number 5064745. from the beginning the lights had a shadow in front of the car but I felt this was just a setup problem. this model light has the low beam sitting behind the high beam. it was later discovered that the design makes the low beam shine on the high beam chrome housing to send the light off the side of the car but not in front. this was reported to spyder auto but they could not recommend a solution to fix the problem. same problem IS occurring in both left and right headlights.
My car hasn't been in an accident or anything and yet my airbag light IS flashing and my airbags are disconnected. I don't understand why my airbags won't be fixed by nissan I'm not sure when this happened. and I'm not sure about the miles. nissan will have this.
Airbag light IS constantly going on, even after resetting numerous times. After reading other complaints about this issue, air bag failing IS a common issue with this car. I would appreciate if nhtsa would open an investigation into premature airbag failure in 350zs.
Swerved car to avoid hitting a deer. When I straightened out the car the air bag light was on. Took car to the dealer who said I needed to install a whole passenger seat. Approx $1500-2000 dollars. When checking out different websites there are many many complaints about air bag lights going on. All were told seats needed to be replaced. This car has on 25000 miles now. As I only use the car when I am by myself for fear of the passenger airbag not going off. Can't even sell the car with this problem.
I have owned the vehicle for several years. I purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the car. Did no good. nissan does not honor their warranties or promises. When my air bag light started flashing on and off continuously I wanted to know why. I knew their had to be a defect or malfunction some where. I was told that I would have to foot the bill for about 2,000.my warranty would not cover the sensor or what ever they schemed to come up with. My air bag still continuously flashes. I don't drive it much any more because it's such a nuisance. Shame on nissan and they have lost a customer for life.. I am campaigning against them. I don't want anyone to go thru what I am still going thru. sincerely, pissed off *tr
Owner of nissan 350Z roadster. Car IS in mint condition only has 39,000+ miles and IS 10 years old. Never had any problems other than tires, battery, brakes replacement over years. All of a sudden airbag light starting flashing on dash. Took to dealer that did "diagnosis" for $100+ and said module in driver side bag code b1134 needs replacing for $1200.00. Driver IS unemployed at moment and laid-off. Dealership just said "drive safely" when leaving and deciding not to shell out $1200 at moment. Nissan refuses any goodwill to fix car even though this IS an airbag related issue and possible safety hazard. Says the car IS not under warranty (which IS at 36,000 for nissan) and the car has not had any major problems therefore in 10 years and has been a "good running car." nissan feels it IS driver's responsibility to repair. Other car manufacturers constantly recall airbag devices but not nissan -- 2007 nissan roadster 350 has had a recall for an airbag issue. Number for 2007:nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 and the airbag module part number IS 28556cd00. owner of this vehicle looked up any other owners that may have had problem and this appears to be a common issue with owners of this year and make. See lists and lists of complaints here from other owners ofthis model when will nissan take responsibility http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2005/nissan/350z/air_bags/problem.aspx. *tr
I am the original owner of a 2007 350Z. I just found out today that there has been a recall on the passenger air bag sensor since november 2008. I first began to notice the passenger air bag light being off over three (3) years ago. I had my 100,000 mile service around six (6) months ago. The sensor was listed as problematic, but not identified as a potential recall. today, I called the nissan USA number and spoke with [xxx] who told me that my vin # did not match the ones from the recall in november 2008. I informed her that if a passenger in my car IS harmed because nissan USA will not live up to its responsibility to its customers and community, there will be a major lawsuit coming. I feel that the callus position of the company will prevent me from purchasing from them again,,,although I like their cars. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6). *tr

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
All of the wheel separation incidents identified in ea07-005 have involved wheels subjected to aftermarket chroming in california.metallurgical analysis of aftermarket chromed wheels obtained from incident vehicles showed significant changes in material properties that can increase the chance of structural failure.nissan has issued several communications to dealers, both before and after odi's investigation began with pe06-050, warning against the practice of chroming wheels.nissan has advised odi that it will be sending another communication this year that repeats the warnings against aftermarket chroming. No defect has been identified in the original equipment nissan wheels.there have been no wheel separation incidents involving those wheels and they passed the sae radial fatigue, cornering and side impact tests conducted by vrtc.while there have been a few complaints, warranty claims and survey responses indicating cracks in original equipment wheels, they are few in number, often exhibit evidence of impact damage and may sometimes involve cracks in different locations of the wheel.at this time, in view of the limited incidence of the cracks and the fact that the cracks do not appear to have progressed, further use of agency resources on this investigation does not appear to be warranted.the agency will continue to monitor complaints and other information pertaining to the wheels on the subject vehicles and will take further action if warranted.see document file for more information about this closing resume.
