Cannot see out of the rearview mirror due to back streaks, this IS a known issue with this vehicle, this should be a safety recall
While driving highway, without any impact on the car, no accident occured, airbag on passenger side deployed without any reason.
Takata recall my car was involved in a accident and I was hit by the right side panel and thrown up against another vehicle and then slammed into a pavement wall on the freeway I was only traveling about 10 miles when I was struck by a car traveling 70 miles and my airbags did not deploy causing injuries to my arm resulting in me having to have surgery and now I have a rod in my arm for life don't understand why these airbags didn't deploy and if not then what wasn't the GS 350 on the list cause somewhere mines went faulty

Bridgestones pontanza tires size (245-45-18) tires have fallen apart twice , meaing two different set of tires have large blow outs on the sides . Have taking them to firestone to be replaced both times and explained a recall need to be done before someone IS killed and they just shrug it off. Car was sitting both time in drive way and notice flat tires. Went to change them out an noticed large holes.
I also have a headlight that has intermittently not worked. I run my lights on the auto feature. In the last 6 months, I have noted that the left headlight only turns on some of the time. I need to check it, turn the lights off, then back on to get it to work. Happens about 20% of the time and IS a safety issue. about 3 years ago, someone followed me into a store and told me that my left headlight was out. When I left and turned the car on, then checked the headlights, they were working. I now realize that this IS when it started.
I have a problem with a head light going out intermittently, and occasionally both bulbs and what appears to be the back bulbs too go out leaving my car completely dark, interior lights are sometimes included. A quick off/on of the light switch and the lights are back to normal. I will intermittently turn my lights off then back on so I can control the darkness. I love my lexus, but feel very unsafe in it, as the lights could go dark and I can't respond quick enough or oncoming traffic will not see me around a curve. I took the car in a couple of years ago to my lexus dealer, tom williams, and they told me the car battery was weak and causing the problem, shortly thereafter I did replace the battery, but that did not solve the problem. When I bring it to lexus, they only test it during the day. Still don't know what the problem IS. I recently had the car in for the fuel system recall and they rechecked and said again they could not reproduce the problem, I felt like they were telling me I was lying. the most recent incident occurred with 102,000 miles on it, but it has been happening for several years since about 60,000 miles
TL* the contact owns a 2007 lexus GS 350. After taking the vehicle to the dealer to be remedied per nhtsa campaign number: 13v395000 (engine), it was diagnosed that one of the engine valves was bent. In addition, the engine's rocker was fractured and both the valves and rocker needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,000. The vin was not provided.
Low beam xenon headlight on drivers side intermittently shuts off. At times both low beam headlights flicker and shut off completely causing no vision at night. When the lights are switched off then back on they work once again but usually for a few minutes only. also, there's always a strong gasoline smell in the car, while sitting still. Once the car IS in motion, the smell seems to go away.
The design and failure of the rear brake calipers, the rear brake calipers constantly rust and seize making them stick and cause a safety issue because the brakes will lock and start smoking. Even after repair the brakes will seize again after a year or sometime sooner. It IS a known defect by lexus but still not covered as a recall/safety issue.

Received urgent safety recall notice (elf-potential fuel pressure sensor leak - can cause fire!). called dealership to make appointment to repair. they said they did not have the part, would have to order and call me to schedule appointment. could be as long as a month! unacceptable! why didn't lexus/toyota have enough parts ready to ship to accommodate the repairs? they know how many cars it affects and the recall came out in october of 2014. they had plenty of time to be ready & have the parts available to get them to the repair facilities in a timely manner. this IS a safety issue and I don't feel real safe right now. *tr
I received a recall notice about two months ago and after numerous calls to my local dealer, akron canton lexus, nothing has been resolved, no replacement has been made and have not received any help from my local dealer. The recall involves a potential fuel pressure sensor leak which I might think may be a serious issue to address especially since important safety recall notice IS written in red ink!! *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 lexus GS 350. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v647000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure.
I noticed the next day after I purchase the vehicle, that the right headlight was out but the rest were on. I called the dealer and told them about the problem and they told me to bring it in. The next day the lights were on so I didn't take it back. Since then, it happens every time I turn the lights on in the evening. I bought the car without an extended warranty, so I didn't take it back. Since then I have purchased an extended warranty through an outside company, but since I have seen this same problem on several cars similar to mine, I decided to report it before I decided to pay a deductible out of pocket. It's not just the right headlight, sometimes it's the right, sometimes it's both and the fog lights just stay on. *tr
TL* the contact owns a 2007 lexus GS 350. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle surged forward and revved up while the brake was depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle was placed in neutral in order to avoid surging forward. The contact mentioned that the vehicle stability control warning light illuminated a day before the incident. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000.
My car had several recalls on it I just recently started getting mail on the recall I got the first letter in feb and the second at the end of march and it had to do with 3 parts valve spring , actuator, valve varient timing the week after I got my 2ND recall letter my car just stopped working when I filled it with gas, but 2 days before that I was driving then vsc, engine , ABS lights all came on and I lost power with no acceleration ,i took it to toyota and it was diagnosed and I was told I needed the recall items (3) replaced, I then was directed to take it to lexus and they refused to honor the recall and the parts that caused my car to break down. The recall parts which they wont replace I was told it was out of warranty and to many miles . So I was told I have to get the parts fixed that were on recall in order for them to look at the car I spoke to corporate mrs judy combs she asked bobby rahal if they can assist with getting my car fixed because of the recall items and they declined instead I got a bill for 5427.00 if I wanted it fixed. And the service guy [xxx] told me the reason the car broke down IS because of the recall items and he would love to fix it but his manager said no. So lexus refused to honor the recall and I have to get my car fixed in order for them to look at it. I was sent a invoice that said lexus the corporate office declined to help but it was the actual dealer that declined to replace the recalled parts. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6). *tr

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
On February 16, 2010, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened RQ10-003 to determine whether the scope of prior Toyota recalls relating to potential unintended acceleration were sufficiently broad, including, among others, Toyota recalls 07E-082, 09V-388, 10V-017, and 10V-023.NHTSA also requested information regarding potential electronic causes of unintended acceleration in Toyota and Lexus vehicles.I. Pedal Interference from Floor mats, Carpet Covers and Plastic Pads in Carpets.During the RQ10-003 investigation, ODI reviewed a large volume of documents to assess whether additional vehicles should be recalled.Following the agency's analysis, NHTSA requested that Toyota recall additional vehicles.Toyota complied with the agency's request. The details of these recalls are set forth more fully in Toyota's reports to NHTSA pursuant to 49 CFR Part 573.These recalls are as follows:Recall 11V-112: (1) model year (MY) 2004-2006 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid; and, (2) MY 2004-2007 Lexus RX330,RX350, and RX400h (hybrid model). The total estimated population under this recall is 769,379 vehicles. This recall remedies potential accelerator pedal entrapment caused by a loose floor carpet cover (trim panel). Recall 11V-113: (1) MY 2003-2009 through 2009 Toyota 4Runner; (2) MY 2006-2010 Toyota RAV4; and, (3) MY 2008-2011 Lexus LX570.The total estimated population under this recall is 1,381,000 vehicles. This recall supplements recall 09V-388 and remedies potential accelerator pedal entrapment by an unsecured floor mat.Recall 11V-115: (1) MY 2006-2007 Lexus GS300 (all wheel drive vehicles); and, (2) MY 2006-2007 Lexus GS350 (all wheel drive vehicles). The total estimated population under this recall is 19,647 vehicles. This recall remedies potential accelerator pedal entrapment caused by inadequate clearance between the pedal linkage and a plastic pad embedded in the vehicle's carpet.II. Potential Electronic Causes of Unintended Acceleration. After NHTSA opened RQ10-003, NHTSA launched a ten-month study of potential electronic causes of unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles.NHTSA launched the study in the spring of 2010 in light of concerns aired in Congressional hearings.NHTSA enlisted engineers at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with expertise in areas such as computer controlled electronic systems, electromagnetic interference and software integrity to assess whether electronic systems or electromagnetic interference played a role in incidents of unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles. That study has concluded. Two reports are associated with the study and are available on NHTSA's website.NASA's report is entitled Technical Support to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on the Reported Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Unintended Acceleration (UA) Investigation, NESC Assessment No. TI-10-00618 (Jan. 18, 2011).NHTSA's report is entitled Technical Assessment of Toyota Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Systems (Feb. 2011).Both reports should be read in conjunction with each other. As stated in its report, NASA did not find an electronic cause of large throttle openings that can result in unintended acceleration incidents. NHTSA did not find a vehicle-based cause of unintended acceleration incidents other than the physical pedal interference causes that are being addressed by Toyota's recalls. This RQ is closed.
