I’ve replaced my blend door actuator 2 times since owning this car in the past year and it’s gone out again. It clicks under the driver’s side constantly until I turn on the temperature control. And when it doesn’t click it blows out hot air on the drivers side and cold air on the passenger side with ac on and cold air on drivers side with heat on and that’s when I know I need to replace it. This is a constant issue in this vehicle and it has cost me a lot of money to keep replacing the same part.

8/31/22 While I am driving, at 25 miles per hour in my neighborhood, or 45 mph through town, or 65 mph on the freeway, without any warning there occasionally will be an EXTREMELY LOUD BANG!! I actually duck down and cover my head for fear a huge rock has come through the windshield. Or a double-barreled shotgun was aimed at my car, or a major jetliner had fallen out of the sky and landed on my roof. Only to look up and see no damage whatsoever, but the shrill, high pitched ring piercing my ears. The radio won't respond, the gps won't respond, the heater or AC won't respond. The sound continues for as long as it takes to get to my destination. When I return to my car the next time, EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, and no high pitched ring. I have seen others' notes on this topic say it is the radio/speakers. This BANG occurs for me even when I am NOT using the radio or media. However, my cell phone auto connects each time I turn on the engine. I will today 8/31/22 disconnect my cell phone and see if the bluetooth makes this terrible connection. I see no evidence that anyone has found a repair for this. Also, other notes have stated they think this is related to temperatures above 73 F degrees. I have experienced this BANG at all temperatures. The latest time it occurred while I was in the middle of a left hand turn through a busy intersection with off-work traffic in all lanes, I almost went into the ditch!! No, there are no warning lights or sounds before this happens. No, I have not been able to reproduce this sound at will. YES, THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY PROBLEM. IF THE DRIVER'S HEAD IS DUCKING DOWN DURING THE BANG, WHO'S STEERING THE CAR? Please, someone, is there a fix?

Automatic transmission is slipping badly. Results in temporary loss of power & speed. Taking my foot off the gas pedal, for two-to-three seconds, seems to remedy the situation. It's quite scary losing control of the vehicle during that period. Below, I am identifying an "approximate date"; however, this issue has been ongoing for quite some time - At least one, perhaps two, years. A mechanic's remedy may be checking the transmission fluid, or having the fluid replaced. I ensure I keep the fluid at its' proper level and I'm not replacing the fluid. I don't believe any transmission fluid ever needs draining and replacing - I think that's a scam when it's suggested!
- Service brakes
ABS light came on and the repair shop says the ABS module has failed and needs to be replaced.
- Electrical system · Engine · Power train
I've replaced a starter / alternator/ battery/ coil packs/ tune up/and my truck IS still having problems with staying started..i have to push the gas in park because it seems like it will shut off.
- Service brakes
I have to change the breaks & rotors twice in 2 years. My mechanic says it IS the 'break booster'. He stated that their might be a recall. The vehicle IS having issues stopping. I am afraid the will go out and cause an accident. The breaks make a released air sound and it IS hard to make a complete stop. So I stopped driving it.
- Power train
The ptu (power transfer unit) IS causing engine light to flash and loss of power when accelerating. Transmission sputters and seems to buck as if not finding the gear (almost always around 2ND gear).
- Service brakes
Brakes intermittently don't grab sometimes and sometime they grind when applied. I have had them worked on multiple times and I've had mechanics to tell me that there's some problem in the control unit that's causing this. I've had everything replaced and it still happens.
- Service brakes
I hear a hissing noise when depressing the brake pedal and the brakes feel spongy and not very responsive. garage have diagnosed a leaking brake booster. lincol recall 13n02 exactly fits this fault but IS only being applied to 2010 - 2013 models, mine IS 2009. This recall needs to be extended to cover 2009 models too.

Subject : getting a raw deal ! Just bought 2009 lincoln MKX. Problems are surmounting quickly. Fumes in cabin recall IS connected to transmission failure in fords, lincolns, mazda years 2007 - 2013 approximately as reported. the fuel pump fails and IS not easily replaceable. Ford IS at fault for poorly designing a $200 part behind a "timing chain" which requires removal before you can reach the fuel pump to replace - costing the customer exorbitant amount of money to repair.
- Service brakes
Brake booster vacuum leaks causing brakes to squeal and hiss thus rendering vehicle unsafe stop.. The recall starts on 2010 models but the recall should have started on the 2009s. I had to replace it and it cost 700. Now my vehicle IS mechanically sound.
- Wheels
Takata recall , tire sensor keeps saying low tire pressure even after car in turnt off and restarted after air was put in and tire pressure was checked by a mechanic. some time after air IS put in the tire the light may go off for a few minutes and or hrs then the low tire pressure light comes back on and you can't see your vehicle mileage or anything.

As reported in forbes magazine on april 24, 2018 there are numerous complaints regarding brake failures with lincoln MKZ 2006-2012 model years affecting one million sedans. The lincoln MKX model (crossover) I believe to be affected as well. In my case, what happened IS that the anti lock brake system has failed on many occasions while I was operating the vehicle with my family inside resulting in several near rear end collisions. Apparently this IS a common failure on the 2009 lincoln MKX model as the ABS component IS on backorder and a wait of over 3 weeks IS required. This IS a monumental safety issue and there should be an investigation opened immediately and a recall issued on these vehicles.

"Takata recall" - after almost 2 years, my auto dealer says they still do not have the parts to repair/replace and perform the recall. IS this not a excessive time to correct the problem? - 10240415Certain 2005-2014 Mustang, 2005-2006 GT, 2004-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion and MKZ/Zephyr, 2006-2011 Milan, and 2007-2010 Edge & MKX Vehicles Driver & Passenger Airbag Module Quality Control Inspection REASON FOR THIS SUPPLEMENT Updated Ranger Technical Information to include images of a pass and fail airbag inflator inspection for 2007-2011 model years.
- 10235153For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.
- 10209374Certain 2005-2014 Mustang, 2005-2006 GT, 2004-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion & MKZ/Zephyr, 2006-2011 Milan, and 2007-2010 Edge & MKX Vehicles Driver & Passenger Airbag Module Quality Control Inspection: Ford Motor Company has determined that some vehicles claimed by dealers as repaired under Takata Airbag Safety Recalls 15S21, 17S42, 18S02, 19S01, and 21S12 may not have received the claimed repairs. The propellant in certain Takata airbag inflators can experience an alteration over time with exposure to certain climate conditions. A combination of time, high temperature fluctuations, and humidity contribute to the degradation of the propellant in the inflators. This degradation can cause the propellant to burn too quickly, creating high pressure inside the inflator, and in extreme cases causing the inflator to rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. A ruptured inflator can send inflator parts toward vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death. Additional information regarding Takata recalls can be found at www.nhtsa.gov and www.safercar.gov.
- 10177599These SKUs are Exhaust Manifolds with Catalytic Converters. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory due to a loss of CARB certification. These SKUs can no longer be sold as they do not meet CARB standards, but parts on vehicles are not effected.

This may be due to break down of the power transfer unit (PTU) fluid caused by excessive heat. If the source of the odor is identified as originating from the PTU, an idler bearing repair kit is available to repair the PTU. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 308-07. If the PTU is determined to be repairable, utilize kit GB5Z-7P258-A and the included instruction sheet. - 10137113Replacing the original equipment SYNC/Navigation system with either an aftermarket SYNC/Navigation kit or modifying original SYNC/Navigation parts to provide additional features is not recommended nor supported on any Ford, Mercury or Lincoln vehicle. Only approved Genuine Ford accessories or originally installed systems are supported and certified to function correctly with other vehicle systems. If you suspect a system has been modified, the following resources can be used to verify original equipment: Monroney Label (Window Sticker), Professional Technician Society (PTS) OASIS tab select SYNC or HVBOM. For Genuine Ford accessories use: PTS Workshop Tab select Dealer Installed Accessory or Accessory Installation.
- 10109070The Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual has been revised for diagnosing electronic throttle bodies (ETBs). The ETC_ACT and ETC_DSD PIDs should not used to diagnose possible ETB concerns. The IDS has a limited refresh rate when reading these PIDs and cannot display quickly enough to validate a concern. The PCM automatically monitors these inputs more accurately and will set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when appropriate. Using these PIDs for diagnostics will lead to inaccurate results and improper ETB replacements. If a concern is intermittent and no DTCs are present, refer to historical DTCs and the PC/ED, Section 3 No DTCs Present Index chart for further information.

To identify this noise, refer to workshop manual (wsm), section 100-04, and follow the symptom chart. If the source of the noise IS identified as the ptu and/or internal to the ptu, disassemble ptu assembly. Refer to updated wsm, section 308-07. If the ptu IS determined to be repairable, utilize kit gb5z-7p258-a and the included instruction sheet. For claiming, use causal part 7p258 and applicable labor operations in section 07 of the service labor time standards (slts) manual.

- 10091151Some 2008-2017 ford/mercury/lincoln vehicles equipped with sync may generate a vhr that identifies a concern with the brakes and suspension category indicating service IS required due to a brake system warning lamp being illuminated. If the park brake was applied when the vhr was gathering data from the major vehicle systems, the brakes and suspension message will be reported as the vhr looks for any warning lamps illuminated in the instrument cluster. Rerun the vhr with the engine on and vehicle in park, and ensure the park brake IS disengaged. If the sync vhr IS still reporting a concern to the customers sync owners account, refer to the appropriate workshop manual section for diagnosis by dtc or symptom. - 10076519Fuel Tank Corrosion Inspection and Repair REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM In some of the affected vehicles which are operated in high-corrosion environments associated with road salt use, moisture and salt may become trapped under the fuel tank mounting reinforcement brackets at the four corners where the fuel tank is attached to the vehicle. Over time, corrosion under these reinforcement brackets can spread to the fuel tank which can result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Owners that operate their vehicle in a corrosive environment (e.g., where road salt is used in winter months) or have concerns about their fuel tank are eligible for a repair under this Regional Program.
