I am satisfied with the help that the customer service assisted me with and that was getting my service moved up to September 26th from the original date of October 30th. But I am not satisfied with the remedy. I have received several written letters from Lincoln that go into detail of the recall on my car and as well they say and in BIG RED LETTERS ..DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR UNTIL REPAIRS ARE DONE. WELL, I should say that you see my 2010 Lincoln Mkx is my and only vehicle I own I can not just park it up and forget I have a life and a job because of no fault of my own that my one and only car urgently is needing repair to the factory installed air bags. Therefore I ask Lincoln to assist me with a rental until my car had been repaired. I do not feel safe DRIVING MY CAR.Letter's I have on hand from Lincoln plainly stating DO NOT DRIVE. I am upset Lincoln ortrays they care so much to bombard me with all the recall letters and such but pretty much told me NO WE DONT DO RENTAL CARS So what I am to do??? I don't have rental coverage on my insurance. I couldn't afford it. So what choice do I have??? If I do die from their faulty air bags imploding on me atleast make sure my children and grandchildren knew I begged for a rental but Lincoln couldn't back me with that. I guess making luxury car's for so many years has not left them with much profit Seeing as how in a life or death situation brought on by their mistake they leave their customers to chance it because it cost to much for rentals to ensure their customers are kept safe until their car is serviced and safe to drive. They have no compassion for people is how I am feeling about this whole situation. Only covering themselves legally in the cheapest fix possible to avoid legal issues. Guess Lincoln owners are just numbers and dollar signs and not mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, aunt or uncles or grandparents that are loved and would be missed severely in the event of their death by a recalled air bag.

I was driving my 2010 Lincoln MKX in heavy traffic when the signal light turned red. When I pushed the brake to stop it was very stiff and I almost hit another vehicle. I could have been seriously injured if I had it another car because there is another safety recall on this vehicle relating to the driver airbag spewing shrapnel in a front end collision. I have had the recall notice regarding the air bag for almost a year already. Ford motor company deemed my vehicle safe to drive with this airbag issue. As it turns out, the brake booster bladder has a tear in it. I purchased the vehicle in 2020 and never was never sent a recall notice on the brake booster even though Ford Motor Company knew about it. According to what I have read online, Ford Motor decided that the recall was only good for a specific amount of time. How can that possibly be the case. This is a safety issue that should be covered for the life of the vehicle. Someone needs to do something about this before someone is seriously injured or killed.

Then I would press the seat cooler and it malfunctioned and I had a second degree burn on my lower back. Then the check engine light came on and it started to overheat. I pulled over turned off the ignition and the car was still running. That happened twice my mechanic would come turn the car off even by disconnecting the battery the car was still on somehow he had to disconnect another part for car to turn off. He told me not move it anymore. 15 to 20 minutes later the car was on fire and the fire department came and turned it off. I bought the car on 4/24/2021 and it was on fire on 05/27/2021.

For the past 5 years, my driver's seat has made a metal on metal loud slipping noise when making turns and braking. The dealer advised me (out of warranty) that it was a broken seat track and IS common occurrence. I lived with the annoyance, but it has recently turned much worse allowing the seat to move a greater distance and more frequent. I am afraid the seat will come apart or not withhold in an accident. Many forums identify this issue amongst many ford and lincolns.

Starting in early fall 2019, multiple problems with breaks, replaced all pads & rotors now x 2. Break peddle has intermittent spongy feel- isn't consistent pressure, sometimes IS super hard to press down, other times press it for a long time and the vehicle isn't stopping. peddle makes a hiss noise and sometimes strange clicks with very inconsistent pressure. Re- replaced all break pads again 2/24/20, our mechanic notified us its the break booster part failure. This IS known year and part failure for our MKX. I've called lincoln. They refuse to offer us the extended warranty repair upfront, even though we've paid for breaks X2 in less than 6 months. This irregular brake peddle problem occurs on all roads freeway/ side streets. Our vehicle has 100K miles on it, well under their 150K mile warranty for this part and IS 10 years. lincoln we'd have to submit the receipt and maybe then our vin will be included in the recall warranty afterward. I feel the safety of myself and our family IS extremely jeopardized and lincoln IS trying to avoid responsibility to fix this known part failure at any length. (Called micheal at lincoln care on 2/27/20 case #cas25802085-v3k5d6) we also had purchased an extended warranty on this car for 36 months (but have just 4K miles over the miles limit), only month 28. We feel lincoln IS intentionally being dishonest towards their quality and safety of their product MKX. I'm worried that there will be an accident. I'm not even asking to compensated for 2 sets of brakes in a few months, I am asking for the known failed brake booster part to be replaced through the lincoln warranty (sb-10054925) for lincoln to stand behind their car for the safety of my family and others on the roadway.

- 10235153For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.
- 10209374Certain 2005-2014 Mustang, 2005-2006 GT, 2004-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion & MKZ/Zephyr, 2006-2011 Milan, and 2007-2010 Edge & MKX Vehicles Driver & Passenger Airbag Module Quality Control Inspection: Ford Motor Company has determined that some vehicles claimed by dealers as repaired under Takata Airbag Safety Recalls 15S21, 17S42, 18S02, 19S01, and 21S12 may not have received the claimed repairs. The propellant in certain Takata airbag inflators can experience an alteration over time with exposure to certain climate conditions. A combination of time, high temperature fluctuations, and humidity contribute to the degradation of the propellant in the inflators. This degradation can cause the propellant to burn too quickly, creating high pressure inside the inflator, and in extreme cases causing the inflator to rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. A ruptured inflator can send inflator parts toward vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death. Additional information regarding Takata recalls can be found at www.nhtsa.gov and www.safercar.gov.
- 10177599These SKUs are Exhaust Manifolds with Catalytic Converters. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory due to a loss of CARB certification. These SKUs can no longer be sold as they do not meet CARB standards, but parts on vehicles are not effected.
- 10164508Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.
- 10160931On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission it is imperative that the converter pilot hub be greased with Motorcraft Multi-Purpose Grease Spray XL-5-A even if grease was not applied from the factory. Also verify that the engine/transmission alignment dowel pins are present as well as the engine crankshaft dowel pin, if equipped, when installing the transmission. Failure to adequately lubricate the converter hub greatly increases the likelihood of the flexplate cracking in the future. Missing dowels may cause a misalignment issue also resulting in a premature failure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01.

- 10109070The Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual has been revised for diagnosing electronic throttle bodies (ETBs). The ETC_ACT and ETC_DSD PIDs should not used to diagnose possible ETB concerns. The IDS has a limited refresh rate when reading these PIDs and cannot display quickly enough to validate a concern. The PCM automatically monitors these inputs more accurately and will set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when appropriate. Using these PIDs for diagnostics will lead to inaccurate results and improper ETB replacements. If a concern is intermittent and no DTCs are present, refer to historical DTCs and the PC/ED, Section 3 No DTCs Present Index chart for further information.

- 10076519Fuel Tank Corrosion Inspection and Repair REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM In some of the affected vehicles which are operated in high-corrosion environments associated with road salt use, moisture and salt may become trapped under the fuel tank mounting reinforcement brackets at the four corners where the fuel tank is attached to the vehicle. Over time, corrosion under these reinforcement brackets can spread to the fuel tank which can result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Owners that operate their vehicle in a corrosive environment (e.g., where road salt is used in winter months) or have concerns about their fuel tank are eligible for a repair under this Regional Program.
