Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster, free of charge. The recall is began December 13, 2019. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. The contact owns a 2019 Porsche Cayenne. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V896000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that the cameras including the front and rear cameras were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair; however, three attempts to complete the driver assistance software update had failed. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Porsche has released a recall campaign but after taking my vehicle to a Porsche dealership to fix the recall, they informed me that they have not been given a remedy to the recall.

The AC evaporator failed at only 50,000 miles which is a manufacturer defect, as this part is not designed to fail and should withstand the life of the vehicle. When I wrote to Porsche regarding the failure, they tried to indicate or even suggest that this is normal wear and tear and the price of vehicle ownership. That is not a valid statement! This failure is considered premature and there is considerable documented evidence and concern widespread throughout the internet to back up this claim. It cost us almost $9000 to repair and almost a month of being in the shop. This is a significant repair and we actually took considerable time to not only research the issue, but quote the repair with other shops since Porsche wanted almost $15000 to conduct the repair. We would like this investigated as well as find out if there is any form of compensation we can seek due to the issue. Also, we were advised that the evaporator was leaking harmful chemicals through the vents of the ac, which cause mold and illness.

The tires had to be replaced due to the degradation and we requested the tire shop to look into a warranty claim. The tire shop changed hands and we went through four managers and weren’t able to get a clear answer, during that time the tires continued to get worse and pit. We found numerous reports on the Internet of the same tire having a identical issue and believe it is a material defect and safety issue of this tire.

Complaint regarding a battery-monitoring/sensor issue, 2019 Porsche Cayenne and Porsche’s subsequent handling of the related repair. On May 22, 2023, at approximately 27,625 miles, my 2019 Porsche Cayenne was serviced by Fox Valley Porsche under Repair Order 103905. While driving a “battery charging warning.” showed, I was very scared. Dealer diagnosed a battery sensor failure and replaced the 12-volt battery. The invoice shows a battery charge of $1,957.87, plus labor. Repair documentation states “WMJ9 — Campaign not required.” I am asking NHTSA to investigate, whether the battery-sensor condition that resulted in my battery being replaced was related to the condition addressed by Porsche campaign WMJ9 and whether this condition can cause premature or unnecessary 12-volt battery replacement. Porsche subsequently identified the active fault associated with my vehicle as P1D6C00 and described it as a defect in the battery sensor located inside the battery. Porsche also stated that the vehicle’s battery-sensor software was already at software level 0164 and therefore the WMJ9 campaign was not performed. Porsche’s WMJ9 campaign addressed a battery-sensor/software condition involving incorrect battery-aging calculations and the potential for premature battery replacement. Because my vehicle had a battery-sensor fault and the dealer replaced the battery during the same general period that this campaign existed, I repeatedly asked Porsche and the dealer to establish why my battery itself required replacement rather than the condition being addressed through WMJ9. I requested objective documentation: • battery’s state of health/capacity at May 2023 repair; • battery test results; • diagnostic evidence physical battery failed, rather than only the battery sensor; • PIWIS diagnostic/scan information or other supporting diagnostic records; • basis for determining WMJ9 was unrelated Neither dealer, nor North America Porsche could provide factual test results.

Vacuum-actuated water pump seal failure caused coolant infiltration of the vacuum system on two separate occasions during the CPO warranty period. The vacuum system on this engine supplies the brake servo (brake booster) — a safety-critical connection documented in Porsche and Audi's own engineering literature for this engine (NHTSA document MC-XXX). First failure: XXX (92,916 miles, RO XXX). Towed in overheating. Technician documented coolant infiltrating vacuum system. Coolant pump replaced. Vacuum lines not inspected or replaced. Vacuum pump not inspected or replaced. PCNA's own ATI 2235.1 (NHTSA MC-XXX) required vacuum line inspection — not performed. Second failure: October 3, 2025 (103,904 miles, RO 207205). Coolant documented at timing chain cover. Coolant pump replaced. Change-over valve not replaced — required unconditionally by ATI 2235.1. Vacuum lines not inspected or replaced. No PQIS fault code logged — required by PCNA TSB 2307 (NHTSA MC-XXX). No oil analysis performed. No timing chain cavity inspection. Service visit performed one month before CPO expiration. The hybrid cooling system on my 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid repeatedly displayed a red dashboard warning while the vehicle was in motion: "Hybrid coolant level too low / Park vehicle safely / Let vehicle cool down." This warning appeared on multiple occasions at speeds of approximately 22 mph, 38–40 mph, and 47 mph, as documented in timestamped photos and videos taken in November 2025. A separate warning in July 2025 read: "Engine cannot be started / Remove charger plug." The warnings indicate a potential thermal management or hybrid cooling system failure. A moving vehicle being instructed to park and cool down presents a safety risk to the driver and others, particularly if the condition causes sudden power loss or thermal event. The vehicle was serviced at an authorized Porsche dealer in 2025. Despite that service activity, the hybrid coolant warning recurred while driving in November 2025, suggesting the underlying condition was not fully resolved. The issue was reported to the manufacturer (PCNA), who acknowledged it under a case number and offered a service voucher. The selling dealer attributed the concerns to a manufacturer charging-cable campaign. Neither response addressed the recurring in-motion warning or confirmed the hybrid cooling system was repaired. Timestamped photo and video evidence is available showing the dashboard warnings and vehicle speed at time of occurrence. Complete repair orders have been requested but not yet provided. Porsche leather dashboard shrunk and staples pulled out. I was told if the vehicle was in an accident the airbag may not deploy properly. The Porsche dealer looked at it recommend that it be replaced. This is a known manufacturer defect that has been occurring with many of Porsche leather dashboards in different models. The manufacture is not taking responsibility in repairing or recalling this dangerous situation and putting the cost onto the customer. The fact that this is an option they offer as an additional cost on their vehicles , knowing this is a dangerous defect. This alone should automatically issue recall to fix before someone gets seriously injured.

The failure created serious concern about safe operation and reliability and left the vehicle disabled or unsafe to continue driving normally. An authorized Porsche dealer evaluated the vehicle and stated that the repair would require replacement of the entire transmission assembly at very high cost. No practical parts-level repair option has been provided. I am reporting this because a sudden major powertrain failure at this mileage may indicate a safety-related defect.

While driving my 2019 Porsche Cayenne S on the freeway, the check-engine light came on, followed by a message on the dashboard that read “Engine Control fault – Driving permitted – Visit workshop.” Moments later, the vehicle suddenly lost power and decelerated from about ~75 mph to around 55 mph, even though my foot was still on the accelerator. I am [XXX] pregnant and had our [XXX] child in the car at the time. The unexpected loss of speed in fast-moving traffic was frightening. I had to quickly change lanes to reach the slower lane and avoid being hit by other vehicles. After reaching safety, I drove the car to an authorized Porsche dealership, where technicians found an active water-pump leak with coolant entering the vacuum system, which may have caused turbocharger and engine-power failure. This is after I replaced the water pump last year at another porsche dealership. A photo taken during the incident shows the dashboard warning message as it appeared. This incident created a serious safety hazard, as the vehicle displayed “driving permitted” even though it was at risk of a sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds. Water intrusion is coming in from light rain or even a car wash causing entire headlight system to shut off until the moisture dries up often while driving. This vehicle has matrix adaptive led headlights and there is no self service bulb to replace since they’re leds. Local Porsche dealer service advisors appear to know this is a common issue but state Porsche has yet to do a recall and they have no fix option and only offer to sell me a full headlight assembly replacement.
