The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, there was a clicking sound coming from underneath the vehicle, and the vehicle swayed slightly before coming to a stop. The failure became more persistent, and the clicking sound became louder within a week. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who determined that the frame had severe rust that had created a hole near the ball joints on the driver’s side front wheel and informed the contact that the vehicle was not safe to drive. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 130,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The contact stated that there was a lag in the vehicle while driving and attempting to accelerate above 65 MPH. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start immediately, and several attempts were needed to start the vehicle. The failure was intermittent; however, the failure was persistent while using the remote start feature. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the failure might be related to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 19V297000 (Electrical System) and 13V336000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.
Believe the torque converter in the cvt transmission is causing the vehicle to stall. Happened multiple times going through an intersection and was almost side swiped. Was an extended warranty on cvt but no recalls for it yet.
The occupancy detection sensor module failed. Similar to the 2014 forester recall the module has failed and Subaru dealership wants $3300 to replace the module. The passenger airbag is off due to the sensor not working. Previous airbag recall has been resolved, but I am concerned that they are related.
My Subaru ran perfectly fine until the water pump and cooler lines got replaced after these were replaced it was tried to be driven and the car then had no idea what gear it was in drive is drive neautral is drive and reverse does not work at all paddle shifters won’t work AT oil temp light check engine light brake light flashing cruise control light all came on and the car will only go forward and it’s making some crazy shutter noises when you start it and sometimes it shuts off after it was started.

My vehicle is suffering of the exact same issue described in recall WRA-24. However, this recall only covers the model years 2020 to 2022, mine is 2014 with approximately 106,000 miles. Since the last week of December, my vehicle has been to the Fort Wayne, IN Subaru Dealership approximately 9 time for the same issue. It has cost me over $2,500 plus the fuel used for all this trips (I live over 40 miles away from the dealership). The problem is still not 100 percent fixed after they changed the seat cushion, the airbag module, the seat belt buckle sensor, and I don't know what else. The last time (a couple of weeks ago) that the car was at the dealership, they had the car for over 2 weeks. The next morning, the car did the same thing again where the red airbag warning light turns on and the passenger airbag shuts off with a passenger sitting on the seat. I've taken videos of the issue to show the dealership as they seemed doubtful of what I was explaining to them. The dealer claims they have been in contact with Subaru and they don't know what else to do. They started providing me with a loaner free of charge after the 4th visit. In summary, same issue as WRA-24, over $2,500 so far, and still not resolved.
Brand new battery dies after letting the car sit for 3-10 days. Car draws 183mAmps of power just sitting, with no key in ignition and no doors open. This high amount of current kills the battery after letting the car sit for days. Legacy models after 2015 were recalled for this issue but not other years. This is an unacceptable product defect leaving customers stranded in potential remote locations.

Recently, the contact stated that another crack had formed horizontally along the lower edge of the passenger’s side windshield, also without incident. The contact stated that the cracks obstructed her vision while driving. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V694000 (Visibility). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that the check engine and brake warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jerking. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the mechanic retrieved an unknown transmission code. The contact was then referred to the dealer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 99,500.

TL* the contact owns a 2014 subaru legacy. The contact stated that the sunroof metal drain tubes were clogged causing water to drain inside the cabin of the vehicle. Due to the failure, there was condensation on the windshield which reduced driver visibility while driving. The contact cleaned the windshield both manually and by activating the windshield defogger. The vehicle was taken to bay ridge subaru (1819 cropsey avenue, brooklyn, ny 11214, (718)232-1900) to have the sunroof drain tubes cleaned which was still pending. The vehicle was not repaired. Vehicle stalls and hesitates from completes and shudders when coming to a stop usually at intersections. Contributing factor IS torque converter and possibly valve body. Known safety issue to subaru that IS no longer covered by warrenty.
TL* the contact owned a 2014 subaru legacy. The contact stated that her son was driving and hit a deer that caused extensive front end damage. The vehicle was taken to an auto body repair facility for repairs. However, a week after the repairs were completed her son was driving again when he smelt smoke and looked out the driver side window and saw flames. The driver parked the vehicle and exited the vehicle safely with the front seat passenger. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. Police and fire department reports were filed. The contact stated that the fire marshall stated that with the extent of the damage an electrical failure cause could not be ruled out. There were no injuries and the vehicle was completely totaled. The wreckage was towed to a salvage yard for the insurance company to examine with a third-party examiner to determine the cause of fire. The manufacturer was contacted and requested to examine the vehicle after the insurance company. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
TL* the contact owns a 2014 subaru legacy. The contact stated while driving at approximately 58 mph the driver side headlamp became inoperable. The contact also stated that the fog lamps were also inoperable. The headlamp bulbs and fog lamp bulbs were replaced however, the failure recurred. A local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Periodically the car has been shutting off after I start it. When it's stationery. It will shut off two to three times before it with stay on. Also it has been consuming oil and the oil light comes on before I'm due for an oil change.
Car had previously been cut off 5-10 minutes prior. Went to move vehicle, started it like normal, upon putting it in reverse the engine shut off. Had to place vehicle in park and take key back out and restart.

Takata recall. recall notice indicates that 'until this repair IS performed, do not allow passengers to tide in the front passenger seat.' I called the dealer, beard subaru, as soon as the notice arrived but was told there was a waiting list and I would have to wait until may. That puts my vehicle out of service for at least two months!
