Mobility Specialists, Inc. (Mobility Specialists) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Ford E-150 and Transit vans modified to be equipped with Ricon S-Series and K-Series wheel chair lifts. The wheelchair lift positioning input cam may fail while the lift is in use, allowing the platform to travel higher than the vehicle's floor height.
Risk and remedy
Risk
If the wheelchair lift platform stops above the vehicle floor, the wheelchair user can tip inwards toward the vehicle when exiting the lift, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy
Mobility Specialists, working with Ricon, has notified the owners. Ricon will provide instructions and materials for replacing defective parts. Owners may contact Ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884.

They are a safety hazard. especially in the new f 150 and similar big pick up trucks when one IS behind you, they are higher than your car and it IS like shining a spotlight in your car. Will temporality blind you. When one comes at you even with low beams they are a safety hazard. At first I thought it was a age issue. But found out last week at eye doctor people of all ages are complaining was almost in road rage over a large pickup truck that followed me on my bumper with those bright, bright blue headlights. . Were they even studied before the were approved for use. A car was at an intersection next to me with a blue light truck behind her. Her car was lit up like a christmas tree. She had to turn her rear view downward to block the glare. Do not even look in rear view mirror, which magnifys the lights and makes them worse. If you are at an intersection facing one of these cars or trucks with new headlights, and the road IS slightly higher than your side, you almost want to jump out of your car and put your hands an side of car and wait for a pat down. Please can you look into this situation. It will only get worse as more new card are coming out with these new brighter annoying unsafe lights, thank you

Driving on santa fe blvd in denver co. Was coming to a red light, pressed the brakes and they went to the floor, swerved into next lane with cars further away, and avoided a crash as the light changed.. I purchased my truck june 18TH 2016. after the first couple of days the radio started going off for periods of time. the radio work probably half of the time. I finally had time to bring it in and ford tells me they are aware of the issue, but do not know how to fix this yet. a radio IS a every day part of a truck and IS expected to work. under an implied warranty it should work. the warranty of merchantability IS implied, unless expressly disclaimed by name, or the sale IS identified with the phrase "as IS" or "with all faults." to be "merchantable", the goods must reasonably conform to an ordinary buyer's expectations, i.e., they are what they say they are. this IS not happening and they don't know when they will have a fix.

My 2016 F150 company vehicle suddenly slowed to a crawl, and I had to tow it to the dealer. the dealer says that the electronic throttle body (etb) needs to be replaced. problem IS the there were dozens of other vehicles in the dealership with same problem, and the part IS in back order. this IS a brand new vehicle!! it will take at least 2 weeks to get the part according to the dealer....wow!! I read online that back in 2012 similar problems were investigated by nhtsa, and ford "agreed" to replace the part on 1.6MM vehicles, and declared the problem solved!! I think the problem IS far from solved if it IS happening to dozens of new vehicles in one dealership!! imagine the problem whole country wide and/or world wide. the problem was not even called a recall in 2012! my company now has to rent a vehicle until a replacement part IS shipped. they say 2 weeks, probably more time since it IS their estimate!! this issue has to be investigated.

TL* the contact owns a 2016 ford E-150. The contact stated that while driving at certain speeds, the steering wheel and the entire front driver side seat vibrated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,500. The vin was not available.

- 10164508Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.
- 10164497For Ford and Lincoln vehicles that require positive or negative battery terminal replacement, it is not necessary to replace the complete battery cable harness (14300 and 14301) for this concern. Positive battery cable clamp BT4Z-14450-AA and negative battery cable clamp BT4Z-14450-BA are available for this type of repair. Do not cut or shorten the battery cable, instead carefully remove the affected battery cable clamp and clean the cable end as necessary to preserve wire length. Some rework may be necessary for some vehicle environments. Bend the new positive battery cable clamp as needed and crimp it to the existing battery cable. Make sure to use heat shrink tubing over the battery cable to battery cable clamp connection. Obtain the heat shrink tube locally.
- 10160931On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission it is imperative that the converter pilot hub be greased with Motorcraft Multi-Purpose Grease Spray XL-5-A even if grease was not applied from the factory. Also verify that the engine/transmission alignment dowel pins are present as well as the engine crankshaft dowel pin, if equipped, when installing the transmission. Failure to adequately lubricate the converter hub greatly increases the likelihood of the flexplate cracking in the future. Missing dowels may cause a misalignment issue also resulting in a premature failure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01.
- 10159489Some 2013-2019 vehicles equipped with a EVDC air conditioning (A/C) compressor may exhibit poor A/C performance/improper climate function and/or a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P06A0 in the powertrain control module (PCM). To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC control valve tester has been developed and is available from Rotunda (339-EVDC100). A tester has been provided to each U.S. dealership free of charge with shipments completed 19-Apr-2019 (reference EFC07013 on FMCDealer.com). This tester will help reduce the potential for misdiagnosis and unnecessary compressor replacement. Make sure that this tester is used for warranty repairs and document the test results in the Technician Comments field. Refer to the Rotunda catalog for a video and user manual which provide detailed operating instructions.
- 10155575Some 2015-2017 vehicles may experience a no crank concern due to a security access key table error. When attempting to program keys or perform a parameter reset, the procedure may fail and the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) scan tool may display an error 232: Key Table Not Allocated. If this error message is encountered, the Body Control Module (BCM) is internally faulted and requires replacement. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual.
- 10155574Various 2013-2019 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P264F after powertrain control module (PCM) replacement. This DTC indicates that the engine serial number (ESN) must be programmed into the PCM. The ESN is located on PTS> OASIS> Features> Engine Serial Number. Once the ESN is obtained from the historical vehicle bill of materials (HvBOM), it can be programmed into the PCM using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Navigate to the toolbox tab> powertrain menu> Service Functions> ESN.

The master code for the Accessory (Wireless) Keyless Entry Keypad can be retrieved from FMCDealer - Parts and Service - Parts Product Line Information - Keys/Entry Devices - Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Access to this site is granted through Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES) and Dealer Principal, General Manager or Parts and Service Director can authorize users. Once authorized the retrieval process for master code can be obtained. The master code for the Accessory Keyless Entry Keypad cannot be retrieved from the body control module(BCM) with a diagnostic tool.
- 10127405Some vehicles may exhibit a no start condition with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and a DTC P161A after PCM replacement. This may be due to the parameter reset procedure not being properly completed. To clear this DTC, use the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software, select - Toolbox - Body - Security - PATS Functions - Parameter Reset. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure. This procedure will transfer the existing Key ID information between the modules without the need of having 2 programmed PATS keys present. There is no need to program keys when the PCM is going to be replaced. Additional information can be found in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01. Missing or lost keys are not warrantable.
- 100994632009-2017 vehicles equipped with a 6R80, 6r100, 6r140 automatic transmission have an updated main control valve body overhaul procedure. Refer to workshop manual (wsm), section 307-01 for main control valve body (7a100) overhaul procedures. Not all valve bodies require replacement. Inspect the valve body bores, springs and valves as directed during diagnosis and repair. Refer to general service bulletin (gsb) g0000093 automatic transmission main control inspection for a video clip to aid in the diagnosis of these repairs.
- 10095154To help differentiate engine oil leaks from other possible sources, a new white-colored fluorescent engine oil dye IS available. Workshop manual (wsm), section 303-00 has been revised to reference the new white-colored dye. The new white fluorescent dye provides a distinct white glow to identify engine oil leaks. The new white fluorescent dye requires a pure uv diagnostic inspection lamp. The white-colored fluorescent dye and pure uv lamp are now in the rotunda catalog. Dye and lamp part numbers. Gasoline only dye: 1 ounce bottle 164-tp-33200601. Diesel only dye: 8 ounce bottle: 164-tp-3320-0008. Pure uv diagnostic inspection lamp 164-tp8695 or 164-r3748.
- 10091003Setting the correct tire inflation pressure IS an important step in the pre-delivery process and during routine maintenance intervals. Recent customer clinics revealed that most every vehicle in the clinics had the tire pressures set incorrectly. Tire pressures from the factory are not set to the correct specification. Maintaining the correct tire pressure IS key to the ride characteristics of the vehicle and affects ride quality, handling, load capacity and tire wear. The recommended pressure settings can be found on the tire information label in the driver's side front door jam. Do not use the tire pressures listed on the sidewall of the tires. Maintaining the tire pressure IS part of normal maintenance. It should be rechecked monthly, per the owner guide and during the recommended tire rotation intervals.
