10254138All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

10251934During service and repair requiring removal and replacement of a crankshaft bolt and/or crankshaft damper, achieving proper torque of the crankshaft pulley bolt is critical. Incorrect torque may allow the bolt to loosen resulting in the timing gear breaking and engine damage. Replacement of the bolt is critical to the repair and accurately following the installation procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 303-01 is extremely important. The bolt torque procedure can be found in the crankshaft front seal removal and installation procedure or in the engine assembly procedure.

10237971Some 2021-2023 F-Super Duty/E-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.2L, 6.8L or 7.3L gasoline engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0457 and/or P0455 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a improper fuel filler cap installation and/or outside contamination on the fuel cap sealing surface. The fuel filler cap requires multiple turns to seal properly and should be clean of any debris on sealing surface. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. If the DTCs return after the fuel filler cap is cleared of debris and properly seated, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-13 > pinpoint test HX.
10228876Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00.
10228871Some 2020-2022 Escape/Corsair/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis, 2021-2023 F-650/F-750/E-Series, and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit an intermittent no crank/no start condition and/or an intermittent blank instrument panel cluster (IPC)/SYNC touchscreen. This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). To correct the condition, reprogram the GWM using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part 14F642 and the applicable labor operations of Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
10226767Some 2020-2022 F53 Motorhome built on or before 06-Oct-2022 and 2021-2022 E-Series vehicles built on or before 09-Mar-2021 may exhibit a Service AdvanceTrac and Pre-Collision Assist Not Available message in the cluster with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0051 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. Cruise control may also be inoperative. To correct the condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS). For claiming, use causal part number 2C219 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). To correct this condition, reprogram the GWM to latest software level using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Use causal part 14F642 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
10216961Some 2021-2022 F-Super Duty and 2021-2023 E-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 7.3L gasoline engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0457 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a loose fuel filler cap. The fuel filler cap design has changed, requiring multiple turns to seal properly. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. For further diagnostics, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-13 - pinpoint test HX.
10212957Some 2013-2023 Ford or Lincoln vehicles with modems activated through FordPass or LincolnWay may experience 12 volt battery drain symptoms when the customer uses non-Ford/Lincoln phone applications as an alternate channel to access vehicle commands such as door lock/unlock, remote start, vehicle location, etc. The battery drain may be caused by excessive calls for data through the vehicle network keeping it in an activated state. Recommend that the customer uninstall the app to ensure this is not contributing to battery symptoms experienced. Advise the customer that unaffiliated third-party app developers do not work directly with Ford to adhere to security, vehicle communication, and privacy requirements.
10210850Some 2021 and 2022 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may experience a tire sidewall wavy/indentation appearance in the radial direction on one or both sidewalls. Sidewall wavy/indentation appearance is a common cosmetic characteristic of radial tire construction and will not affect the performance of the tire.
10209030Some 2022 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may need to perform A/C leak detection diagnostics. The 2022 Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00 for A/C leak detection diagnosis is incomplete and is in the process of being updated. At this time, Pinpoint Test AN of Section 412-00 in the 2022 F-150 WSM can be used temporarily for the service procedure and specifications. Use the correct vehicle specific removal and replacement sections as needed. A new labor operation 19700A45 has also been released to align with the new procedure.

This may be due to a loose fuel filler cap. The fuel filler cap design has changed, requiring multiple turns to seal properly. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. For further diagnostics, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual, pinpoint test HX.
10194388Some 2021 F-Super Duty/F-650/F-750 and 2021-2022 E-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 7.3L gasoline engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0457 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM).
