10244945The following information is provided to clearly explain Isuzus policy for control module (engine, transmission, antilock brake, instrument panel, body control, power interface, etc.) reprogramming. Control module calibrations are regularly updated for many reasons. These reasons may include, but are not limited to: model year change, software corrections, certification compliance, product improvement and specific application requirements. However, the mere existence of a newer control module calibration does not necessarily mean that warranty coverage exists or that the calibration must be installed. It is not our policy to update control modules, under warranty or after warranty, based solely on the availability of a newer calibration file. Below are our guidelines for reprogramming control modules.
10237146This bulletin outlines the procedures for using the Alpine Exchange Program (the "Exchange Program"). The Exchange Program must be used when any Alpine radio or other component covered by this bulletin is repaired under warranty and may also be used for radio and component repairs not covered under warranty. Contact Alpine directly for pricing and payment methods applicable to radio and component repairs not covered under warranty.
10225521We have received reports of the front turn signal lenses cracking on Isuzu vehicles. These lenses are cracking from the effects of being washed with alkaline detergents. Alkaline detergents are typically used in industrial settings and are reactive with the paint, metals, and other materials used to make up the exterior components of Isuzu vehicles. Isuzu recommends that only neutral detergents be used when washing Isuzu vehicles. However, if alkaline detergents are used to wash an Isuzu vehicle, it is crucial that all traces of the detergent are rinsed away with water or wiped off as necessary. Allowing alkaline detergent to dry on the turn signal lenses will cause them to crack. Each Isuzu vehicle is originally equipped with an Owner's Manual that includes guidelines for the proper exterior maintenance of the vehicle. The following guidelines are typical of those found in an Isuzu Owner's Manual concerning the use of detergents on a vehicle's exterior.

10186931Some customers may complain about wind noise and/or water intrusion into the cab from the driver and/or passenger doors of the affected n-series and ftr trucks. 10178754Isuzu diesel engines available in the above affected vehicles meet the california air resource board's (carb) optional idling emissions standard of 30 grams per hour of oxides of nitrogen (nox) with no increase in the emission of other regulated pollutants. As a result these vehicles have been approved as "certified clean idle" and are "exempt" from the engine shutdown system (ess) requiremnet pursuant ot section 1956.8 of title 13, california code of regulations. As required by the ess regulation, for "certificed clean idle" vehicles, isuzu has introduced a tamper resistance "certified clean idle" label located on the driver's side door panel. It IS important that this label remain, permanently, on the vehicle to identify it as "certified clean idle." carb requires this label as evidence that, at hte time of manufacture, the engine installed met the applicable emission standards. Should the label be found missing or damged during an inspection, a citation and penalties may be issued. If the vehicle IS operated in california with a damaged or missing clean idle label, isuzu recommends vehicle operators follow the 5 minute ess requirement by manually turning off the engine. Following this ess requiremnet will keep the vehicle operation compliant until a replacement label can be installed. "Clean air idle" labels are printed with a serial number and registered to an individual vin. As a result, a replacemnet label will also include a new serial number which must be registered to the vehicle's vin by the manufacturer. The below information IS provided to assit in acquiring, replacing and registering a replacement label.
10176607This technical bulletin advises of a new fuel injection cleaner kit used for decarbonizing the intake valves to correct conditions of rough idle, Crank no start, extended crank or misfire, MIL with DTCs, and explains how Top Tier fuels should be used to reduce carbon build-up.
10171726In an effort for continuous improvement, isuzu has a need to obtain mimamori ecu (health report) information. It IS critical to obtain mimamori ecu information during the repair process. This information will be used by isuzu engineering to help determine "root cause" for customer's concerns and develop/validate a field fix. Isuzu recognizes that the success of gathering this mimamori ecu information IS dependent upon the dealer technician. Because of this need, isuzu will compensate the dealer/technician for their time and effor to provide critical information. When a vehicle IS presented to a dealer for repair and a dtc IS stored in one or more of the control modules listed below, isuzu engineering requests the mimamori ecu information be downloaded and synchronized. Important: perform the mimamori ecu download before clearing the dtc and before diagnosing the vehicle. Be sure the information IS synchronized before claim submission. Isuzu engineering will be reviewing all claims for this data. -Engine control module (ecm) -transmission control module (tcm) -diesel exhaust fluid (def) control module
10130290This bulletin IS being issued to inform dealers of diesel particulate filter (dpf) cleaning recommendations, inspection practices, and recommended r&r procedures for service and cleaning system availability.
