Unexpected changes in the headlamp lighting angle may affect the drivers visibility, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy
DVUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and retrofit the sensor and correctly calibrate the rotation angle sensor, free of charge. The recall began June 11, 2019. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA's number for this recall is VS3LEDSENS.

The contact's boss owns a 2019 Freightliner Sprinter 2500. The contact stated that the wheel speed sensor wires were corroded. Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and it was suggested that the vehicle be taken to another state, possibly New York or Pennsylvania for repair. The contact was concerned about driving the vehicle to another state for the repair and stated that it was too expensive to tow. The approximate failure mileage was 17,680. Consumer also have safety recalls #21V972, 21V152, 21V055, consumer is unable to have repaired Mercedes does not have any authorized service centers in NJ.

The lower power steering return hose came off while driving just outside Albuquerque, NM. My van had only 2861 miles on it. The clamps had been replaced due to factory recall by my dealer in Salt Lake City, UT prior to delivery to me, but the factory hose was still too short, and clamps still not adequate. I was able to put it on and drive it 30 miles to a Mercedes dealer in Albuquerque, where they put new clamps on, but they did not install a longer hose. They said factory hose was fine. I made it to Durango, CO (just 3-1/2 hour drive)and it started leaking again. Sprinter roadside assistance arranged to have it towed to the Salt Lake dealer and they replaced the hose with a longer one and installed double clamps and it is working great now. This should never have happened to begin with. I am thankful the steering did not go out while driving over the mountain passes!! They should include replacing the hose with a longer one, as well as with better clamps for the factory recall.

Driver parked on a hill and put the van in park. Exited the vehicle and was out of the vehicle 15 secs before he heard a pop and a grind and smelled an odor. He turned and watched his van roll down a hill into two parked cars. It was park (stationary) on a city street and unoccupied.

- 11009854Complaint: Noises when reversing slowly <5 km/h (squeaking) Cause: There is a seal in the electric drivetrain that seals off the coolant system from the electric motor. This seal is moistened with coolant during forward travel. As a result of the change in rotational direction when reversing slowly, it may be the case that this sealing ring is no longer moistened. Squeaking noises may occur as a result of the so-called "stick-slip effect". This behavior does not impact the function or durability of the sealing ring and electric drivetrain. Remedy: Do not replace any parts. Explain the cause of the noises to the customer.

After completing the checks, please open a TIPS case and attach the collected information. Remedy Please complete the following inspections and tests: 1. Perform a tailpipe wipe test and document the results along with photographs. 2. Inspect the NOx connectors, pins, crimps, and harnesses between N37/7 and N37/8 to F152f59, Z7108, W105/3, and X30/81. 3. Provide actual values/sensor plausibility test results for all pressure and temperature sensors with the engine com- pletely cooled off for at least eight hours, the key on, and the engine off. Repeat the test with the engine/exhaust at operating temperature and the engine idling. 4. Perform a pressurized smoke test of the intake, charge air system, and exhaust to verify that there are no leaks. Apply overpressure (not exceeding 26 psi) from the exhaust pipe end and seal the system at the clean airline toward the air filter housing. Manipulate all components during the smoke test. 5. Provide diesel particulate filter actual values and regeneration history. 6. Inspect the SCR temperature sensor wirings and pins for electrical and physical correctness. Determine whether this sensor reaches operating temperature while driving and document the time it takes to reach operating temperatu- re. 7. Inspect the Adblue injector nozzle/s for clogging or leaking, and provide photographs. 8. With the Adblue injector/s removed from the exhaust system, perform two to three Adblue pressure tests and check for leaks. If leaks are detected, provide photographs. 9. Collect an Adblue sample, test fluid quality, and provide notes on its condition and quantity (color, clarity, separati- on, odor, etc.), along with a photograph for review. Also, provide a photograph of the spray pattern. 10. Separate the exhaust pipe downstream of the diesel particulate filter, inspect the diesel particulate filter and SCR, and note any soot, blockage, or damage. Provide photographs. 11. Inspect the SCR catalyst interior for dried Adblue residue, and provide photographs. 12. Perform several test drives at varying speeds to gather graphical illustrations (screenshots of the completed graphs in PDF format) of signals from NOx sensors. Provide three to four graphs or actual values of operational NOx sensors with XENTRY; see attachments for examples. Additionally, provide one graph/screenshot of the vehicle idling at operating temperature. Disconnect the Adblue injection valve, drive for approximately 30 minutes to exhaust all Ad- blue within the SCR catalytic converter, and provide two to three additional NOx graphs/screenshots with the sensor disconnected. (see attachments for needed graphs)

Cause of Complaint A: Increased friction between the EGR Valve blade and seat due to soot deposits causing a delay of the EGR Valve being able to reach the target value of the EGR Valve position controller. NOTE: This causes the EGR Valve blade and potentially the boost pressure controller to oscillate. Cause of Complaint B: Soot deposits between the EGR Valve blade and seat leading to the EGR Valve no longer being able to meet the desired target of the EGR Valve position controller. Cause of Complaint C: Internal EGR Valve or other electrical faults related to the EGR Valve function.
- 11001110Complaint: Front door collides with fender. Excessive dynamic stress results in permanent deformation of the lower hinge and causes the front door to collide with the fender. This can result in damage to the door holder and the front door at the threaded connection of the door holder. Remedy: 1. In the event of damage to be claimed under warranty, please follow warranty guidelines 10.11.1 (see note) 2. Damaged body components will need to be repaired or replaced by a MB certified collision center. While at the collision center, please request a visual check for cracks on threaded connection of door holder in front door. 3. Replace lower hinge of front door on affected side of vehicle. (lower hinge will need to be painted) 4. Replace door holder (on both sides) with modified, shortened door holder. 5. For a repeat failure on a vehicle that has been previously repaired with the updated parts, Please create a PTSS case.

- 10177237Swivel Seat Mercedes-Benz AG (MBAG), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner vans, has determined that on certain Sprinter vehicles from platform 907 (VS30) that are equipped with front swivel-seats, the electric cables in the seat wiring harness could become jammed and damaged in the swivel-seat frame. If electric cables in the wiring harness become jammed and damaged in the swivel-seat frame, the operation of the side airbag within the seat could be adversely affected which could cause the side airbag to deploy inadvertently or not deploy as designed in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.
