The contact's son owns a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact and her son discovered razor-thin lines across the dashboard on the front passenger’s side air bag. The contact and her son were concerned that the passenger’s side air bag might not operate as intended due to the cracks on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V511000 (Exterior Lighting, Seat Belts, Electrical System). The dealer determined that there were cracks in the dashboard and recommended that the dashboard be replaced. The dealer submitted photos to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer responded that the dashboard was not covered under warranty and the cracks were due to other issues. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 5,500.
I had my front bumper cover on my Toyota Camry repaired and it continues to pop out and I am told it's the clips for the bumper.
While driving with cruise control engaged, came up behind a truck going slower than I was so pressed the minus (-) on the steering wheel to lower the speed. Usually what happens is the speed will drop 1 MPH for each press. This time (and this is the first time I've seen this happen) instead of slowing down, the car sped up! And the speed kept climbing from 54 to 80 MPH without pause. My foot was nowhere near the accelerator pedal. It was not related to the minus presses which I did maybe 3 times during that speed up sequence. I am positive that I was pressing the (-). I was far enough behind the truck (on a slight hill) that there was no danger but the car's speed kept climbing so I stepped on the brakes which disengaged the cruise control. When I later tried to reengage it, it gave a dash display warning that it couldn't be engaged. I waited ~5 minutes and it did reengage without cycling power.
My dash clusters go blank periodically without warning.
Dash panel goes blank and does not display information while driving. This happens periodically. Dealership will not fix.
Driver side windshield wiper constantly streaks on the return stroke despite replacing the wiper blades several times. This creates difficulty seeing when raining. I have tried several different brands (including Toyota OEM) wiper blades and they ALL streak on the driver side directly in the line of sight. This apparently is a known issue and I would like it fixed but the dealer will not do anything about it.
Was in a major car accident on freeway a van hit me from behind going 65mph or more made me spin into oncoming traffic & was hit again from the front side head on either side car going 65mph or plus. Airbags did not deploy. I’m lucky to be alive. Major head concussion, neck, shoulders, whole back, arm, wrist, my knee, my hands. More than month now out of work, dizziness, random unconsciousness just terrible
The front driver side bumper will not stay in place. There is a visible gap under the headlight. I have asked the dealership to fix this is issue and they stated there is not true fix for the issue.
The 2025 Toyota Camry SE Hybrid suffered a catastrophic electronic brake-by-wire and computer network failure during a low-speed stop. The brake pedal went completely mushy, and the vehicle registered zero deceleration for a full second, causing a collision. Immediately after impact, the dashboard displayed systemic failures across multiple ADAS and safety networks, specifically throwing explicit alerts for 'Airbag Malfunction,' 'Headlight Malfunction,' and 'System Malfunction.' The vehicle is currently held at Toyota Carlsbad under Corporate Case 261007001900. Local dealer mechanics have already officially inspected the footwell and ruled out any driver floor mat obstruction. A minor child was injured and evaluated at the Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Room."
I have had the windshield, windshield wipers, and the wiper arms replaced on my car. The wipers streak the windshield in the field of vision. Claim was opened with toyota toyota stated that this is a common characteristic in that model of car.
I brought this car in recently for a Toyota recall back in late September of this year. After getting the car back, I noticed that the left front bumper cover was separted from the car near the headlight. On 10/2, I returned the car to the dealership to have this looked at and they said it was repaired. After getting home, the bumper cover had separated again. I went back to the dealership on 10/6 and, after sitting for two hours, the repair consultant came back to say they couldn't fix it and I would need to go to the collison center for repair. The manager is always busy when I call and the admin person arranged a time for me to bring car in to have it assessed. I filed a complaint with Toyota and will hear back from them this Thursday. I'm afraid that when they fixed the recall they may have loosened the bumper cover as I've done nothing to make to loose from my end. I'm also leery that Toyota is going to claim it's my fault and charge me to have it fixed.
I do not know if this is safety or not but my car has repeatedly asked to have a PIN entered while driving. This was so annoying I canceled the free Drive Connect service early. However I am now receiving ads for "Experience Drive Connect" while driving. On occasion I have the infotainment lock up with a white screen when attempting to clear the ad. This required me to stop and reboot (restart) the car. I have since found out that I can reboot the infotainment by holding the "power button" for a time and waiting for a restart. This inhibits viewing of all items on the infotainment Maps, music controls, phone controls, ect. The "power button" is not a power button but a reboot button as it will never power off the infotainment system. This is an ongoing issue. I canceled the free service in May of this year with the assistance of Toyota phone tech support. This stopped the request to log in with my 6 digit pin while driving but replaced it with a more frequent ad. The "head unit" has been replaced July 17, 2025, but did not solve the issue. Dealer is requesting to replace it again.
When the headlight switch is set to AUTO, the vehicle consistently takes approximately 16 seconds to activate the headlights when entering a dark environment such as a tunnel or underpass. The dashboard illumination dims immediately, indicating the ambient light sensor detects the low-light condition, but the headlights do not activate for approximately 16 seconds. To illustrate the safety hazard: at 60 mph, a vehicle travels 1,760 feet — approximately one-third of a mile — in 16 seconds without headlights. At 55 mph, the vehicle travels approximately 1,613 feet in the same time. This is an unacceptable and dangerous safety risk to the driver and other motorists. In my experience with vehicles from multiple other manufacturers, automatic headlight activation in identical low-light conditions occurs within 1-3 seconds. A 16-second delay is grossly outside industry norms and represents a serious failure of a basic automotive safety system. This problem has existed since purchase. The same dealer was visited twice and was unable to resolve it on either occasion. Toyota Corporate was contacted but only directed me back to the dealer without providing engineering support or technical guidance. The sensitivity adjustment in the vehicle's multimedia settings has no effect. This almost certainly requires a firmware or software update from Toyota engineering, which has not been made available to dealers.
Water intrusion in back passenger floorboard, has happened twice within two months only during heavy rains while driving. Has caused mold in the interior and damage to the interior of the vehicle. Had it looked at first time and dealership service center could not replicate the issue. When it happened again, took it to a different dealer within two months and they said they believe it could be an outside influence such as a spider web in the HVAC, not covered under warranty. If this were the case, my floorboards would have been wet all summer long with hot it’s been. Vehicle was not tested in conditions when customer was experiencing the issue. Second dealership omitted information on original RO to steer diagnostics in other direction.
The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that while coming to a stop, the rear doors unexpectedly opened when a pedestrian attempted to open the doors. The contact was unable to lock or unlock the rear doors with the key fob. The key fob was replaced. The contact also attempted to lock and unlock the vehicle using the Mobile App; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a service center to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the rear door lock cables and actuators had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that due to the failure, the vehicle could not be locked or unlocked using the key fob. The contact stated that the same failure later reoccurred with the front driver's side door after the vehicle had been previously repaired. The contact expressed concern that the vehicle was unsafe because the doors could be opened by a pedestrian, creating a personal risk. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by telephone, and several cases were opened. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
The plastic clips/brackets that hold the front bumper on just below the headlights keep coming out. This causes a large gap under the headlights. Not sure if possibly the whole front bumper will fall off in front of car while driving. The brackets on both sides on my car will not hold. I can push the bumper up to engage and the clips just pop right back out of bracket. This is a design flaw the Toyota should take responsibility for. I pointed the issue out at the dealership and they want to ignore it.
The front bumper falls off due to the clips under the headlight failing to support the weight of the bumper. Toyota dealer confirmed that it is a known issue but does not have any fix or remedy besides temporarily pushing the bumper back onto the clip. However, it ends up coming off again
The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the front fascia separated from the body of the vehicle. The contact attempted to push the front fascia back into place, but the part failed to remain in place. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that front fascia clips had failed and there was no physical damage seen. The failure mileage was approximately 9,700.
The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that while the vehicle was turned off and unoccupied, another vehicle crashed into the vehicle. The contact stated that the front bumper was damaged in the crash. The vehicle was inspected by the insurance company for a claim and was taken to a service center for repairs. The contact stated that the front bumper was replaced. The vehicle was parked at the residence, and the contact became aware that the front driver's side of the bumper had popped out and nearly detached. The contact expressed concerns that the bumper might have been improperly manufactured or installed. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
I received the warning "Power Steering Malfunction - Steering Power Low - Visit your Dealer". At this time the car pre-collition warning, power steering, lane-change-warning, all stopped working. I took the vehicle to the dealer, they asked that I pay $ 5,492.72 for repairs. Because the vehicle has 55,711 and it is considered out of Warranty. The sales manager said that it was my fault for not purchasing an extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle 3 weeks prior. The vehicle was purchased with 51,537 miles from Mark McLarty Toyota, located at 4336 Landers Rd. North Little Rock, AR 72117
2025 Toyota Camry XSE front bumper cover repeatedly pops out/separates underneath the driver and passenger side headlamps. This has been a widespread issue among a lot of 2025 Toyota Camrys but dealerships say there is no solution and has not become a recall. There absolutely needs to be a recall for this! I feel this could absolutely cause the entire bumper to come undone. There needs to be an official recall and a solution to fix this issue.
System operates normally on initial speed setting, when the brake pedal is applied which cancels the cruise control (which is normal) problem arises when resetting the cruise control, by pressing the + R in order to re-set the cruise control, nothing happens, so I have to press the button again to re-engage the system. The problem is intermittent but it always seems to happen when there is a car behind me.
While parallel parked in front of a school, I exited the parking space and entered the roadway. I was straightening the vehicle after exiting the parking space and had my foot on the brake. When I lifted my foot from the brake, before I intentionally applied the accelerator, the vehicle began accelerating. There was no noticeable jerking or lurching. The acceleration was smooth and continuous, as if the accelerator pedal had been pressed. I immediately applied the brake and was able to regain control of the vehicle. This was an unexpected acceleration event and was extremely concerning because I was in a school zone/student pickup area. Had this occurred only a few minutes later, there would typically have been lots of pedestrians, primarily children, in the immediate area. Although there was no collision or injury, I believe the unexpected acceleration created a serious safety hazard. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the Toyota dealer. I have an appointment scheduled for this afternoon (8/26/26 @ 2pm EDT). I will provide NHTSA with the dealer's findings when available. Other Info: Date of Malfunction: 8/24/26 @ approx. 2:55 PM Car was pointed UPHILL. Roads were DRY. Approx. 49,000 miles on odometer Car was in D 1. IS SCHEDULED FOR LATER TODAY WITH TOYOTA. HOWEVER, THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? NO 5. On August 15, the car with 55611 miles the car gave the error Power Steering malfunction. Steering power low. Also lights indicating cruise control, lane departure and collision warnings have been disabled. On August 17, I drove the vehicle to the Toyota dealership where I purchased it and they gave me a quote for $5492.72 to fix the issue because it was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty. I took the vehicle home and parked it. Steering the vehicle is extremely hard and all safety features ADAS are disabled.
I hear cracking, flexing and popping coming from the frame/glass from my panoramic sunroof. I am worried for my safety that my roof is going to blow off or collapse when I'm driving. My vehicle was have been at the dealership for atleast 26 full days and many other trips to the dealership. I first brought. I first brought up the rattling on XXX and again on XXX they had it all day that day. I redropped it off XXX and smart toyota had it until XXX. I brought the car to the dealership many times after that. Dropped off my car at smart toyota on XXX and toyota had it until XXX. Every time toyota had my vehicle, they told me, they could not hear the sound or replicate it even though it does it very frequently. On XXX i stopped at the dealership because it was making the sound and had them go on a test drive with me. On the test drive, I drove with two other people from smart toyota, onto [XXX], i took her right onto veterans memorial, and at the roundabout, I took a left, and then I took her right out, the casino and back on to the veterans, and then I turned back onto [XXX]. On our way back to the dealership, I pulled into the parking lot of the davenport public library, where I heard the sound very apparent earlier that day. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, it made it, so I just kept turning in. And out of each lane so they could continue hearing it. I went back to the dealership I was told I'd be contacted within the week, it ended up being 3weeks. And I had to stop in because nobody answered my phone calls. I had an arbitration hearing on XXX. Toyota fabricated a story and said that the only time it made the sound was when I went over rumble Strips, and saying i went over a curb. I did not go over a curb. And none of the roads I went on, have rumble strips at all they fabricated a lie to not fix my car. All of the issues on my car started when my car was below 10,000 miles INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
