  Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger vehicles. The parking brake may be improperly adjusted, which can result in a vehicle roll away. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

  A vehicle roll away increases the risk of a crash or injury.

  Remedy

  Dealers will properly adjust the parking brake, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 01B.

  The brake rotors on my 2023 Chrysler 300C failed prematurely at 25,000 miles. The vehicle is equipped with a factory-installed Brembo four-piston high-performance brake system. The failure presented as brake pedal pulsation and vibration during normal stopping, consistent with warped rotors, which reduces braking effectiveness and control and poses a risk in any situation requiring emergency braking. No warning lamps or messages appeared prior to the failure. The issue was confirmed by my authorized Chrysler dealership, however warranty coverage was denied and the failure was classified as wear and tear. This complaint is consistent with NHTSA Complaint ID Number 11661039, filed May 14, 2025, which documents an identical failure on a Chrysler 300 equipped with the same factory Brembo brake system, with rotor warping reported at just 5,260 miles under normal driving conditions. That complaint similarly attributes the failure to excessive heat generated by the Brembo calipers causing premature rotor warping, suggesting this may be a broader issue with the Brembo brake configuration on this vehicle platform

  My rotors warped with 5,260 miles and dealership would not cover the issue stating it is wear and tear. The brembo brake calipers are large and creates to much heat and causes the rotors to overheat and warp.

  I was backing out of my friend's driveway and hit a pole. My sensors did not beep at me indicating that there was something behind me. I realize I should have paid more attention but the sensors should have warned me.

  My son was in a car accident where he was cut off but able to come to a stop and then he was rear ended which cause his car to hit the car in front of him. His head hit the steering wheel and knocked him unconscious briefly. The airbags did not deploy and there is now a notification to service airbag system. Police report is not yet available.

  I purchased the Chrysler 300 touring of May 23, 2023. This was suppose to be brand new. After, a week, the car was having issues in the steering and I had too report the car dealership because they were giving me a hard time but finally, after, reaching out to corporate, the car dealership, fixed the steering and added an addition warranty. Now, there’s something going on with the tire pressure. The tire pressure for this car shouldn’t be at 28,29,30 and 31. So, now, every time, I have a local tire place to check the tire pressure, the air continuously lose pressure. So, today on Dec 12, 2024, in order to stop, my brakes went all the way down to the floor and that’s not normal. So, there’s something wrong with the brake lines. I’ve been having issues with this supposedly be brand new car since purchase. The week after purchasing this car, because of the steering before it was fixed, I almost got into a car accident. This car really, really scares me.

  The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that the passenger’s side fender was not installed properly. If seals are missing, please return the D-Clutch Kit as defective and order another kit. Transmission replacement is not recommended as this issue should be solved with replacement kits.

Check/verify all grounds in the charging system circuit a. Check tightness of mounting bolts securing alternator to engine block. Alternator is a case ground component. b. Check main ground from engine to chassis; connection must be tight. c. Check battery ground cable connections are tight. d. Potentially, loosen alternator mounting bolts, without removing alternator, and re-tighten to torque specifications in service manual. e. After all steps above are complete, re-start engine & check charging system operation. 3. Verify that the Smart Charging System is not the reason for alternator low voltage & current output (Amps). a. Alternator charging can be suspended during engine idle operation because of the Smart Charge strategy. b. Refer to service manual section ""System Operation - Smart Charging System"". c. Refer to Star Case S2008000031 Rev A for low charging voltage & Smart Charge Mode Voltage Range diagram & mode descriptions. d. The alternator has no internal regulator; thus, has no smart circuitry. All alternator control signals come from ECM. 4. If alternator is faulty, remove alternator & mounting bolts. Return alternator with bolts for analysis at QEC."
