Risk
If the platform side plates crack or the platform mounting fails from out-of-position bearings, the lift platform can separate from the lift and come to rest against the vehicle's lift door. When the vehicle's doors are opened, the platform may fall onto the lift operator, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy
New England will notify owners, and Ricon dealers will inspect the link arms for damage or for displaced bearings. The platform will be inspected for cracks. Any damaged parts will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on June 29, 2016. Owners may contact New England customer service at 1-800-886-9247. Risk
If the bearings move out of position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheel chair lift platform to fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury for the lift operator.
Remedy
New England Wheels will notify owners, and Ricon dealers will inspect the link arms for damage or for displaced bearings. The platform will be inspected for cracks. Any damaged parts will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on January 5, 2016. Risk
A wheelchair occupant may defeat or ride over the insufficiently latched roll stop. If this occurs when the lift platform is in an elevated position, the wheelchair's occupant could fall and sustain injury.
Remedy
Braun Corporation notified all the vehicle owners, and Cummings Mobility replaced the recalled parts with new parts, free of charge. The recall was completed as of April 10, 2014. Owners may contact Cummings customer service at 1-800-639-5438.
Mobility Works is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Ford E-150, E-250 and E-350 vehicles manufactured August 2006 through August 2012. The vehicles are equipped with certain Ricon S series and K Series wheelchair lifts with an optional armored pendant cable. The armored cable may be positioned such that it does not clear the wheelchair lift.

Risk
If the cable does not clear the wheel chair lift it may contact the power lug and, if it does not have a nonconductive cover, or it has an improperly installed non-conductive cover, a short circuit may occur that could result in a fire.
Remedy
Mobility Works will notify owners and Ricon will provide a supplemental cover kit and instructions, free of charge. This recall campaign is expected to begin July 15, 2013. Owners may contact Mobility Works at 1-877-275-4912 and Ricon at 1-818-267-3000.
Ford IS recalling certain replacement fuel tanks that could be installed into model year 2004 through 2008 E-150, E-250, and E-350 vans and wagons. the affected fuel tanks have an extra obdii sensor hole on the top of the tank that may not be properly sealed and may leak fuel.

Ford IS recalling 57,199 my 2006-2007 E-150, E-250, E-350, and my 2007 expedition and lincoln navigator vehicles equipped with 5.4L engines. the fuel rail cross-over hose may contain weak areas. as a result, the hose may crack, which could cause a fuel odor and/or fuel leak.

As I am driving spesificly on express way all gages shut down for few seconds and in some cases up to 2 to 5 minutes, the longer time does not ocure very often, this happens 2 to 4 times in a 1.I/2 hours of driving, some times less like one time only. Also when this happen the power on the windows dies and so the radio.

I tried to stomp on the brakes but the tires were spinning and I could not stop it, it was accelerating at a high speed and the rear end was fish tailing and the coach just keep going forward and crashed in to the rear wall and through it. I tried to put the coach in park but it was completely out of control. There are skid marks were you could see the tires trying to stop. I managed to put it in reverse and the accelerator was still ramping out and the coach fish tailed back wards and I finally got it slammed into park. I was able to re-insert the plug and tighten it up, but it IS also the second time it has happened to me. Previously it also happened on a 1999 E-350 with the same engine and also the same cylinder. I traded the 99 in for the 2007 and in less than a month had the same exact problem. *tr

I bought new a 2007 E350 heavy duty diesel cargo van that developed dangerous driving/handling condition at app 75,000 miles. Never a accident, always properly serviced, freeway driving 90% of the time , load evenly dispersed and under weight for E350. It has floaty, drifty, wandering handling at freeway speeds. Constant condition now. Dealer has had van 4-5 times and in their possession for over 40 days off and on. 3 months pursuing the problem. We have replaced bushings, coil springs, shocks, driving gear box and aligned the van 3 times. Ford tech's involved. 3 months and $3000.00 expenses incurred, the problem still persists. I dropped the vehicle this week to let the dealer have one more shot to fix the problem or replace the vehicle. My service rep advised me today that the van IS driving fine and that it IS my imagination that the condition still persists. Argued with me , and informed me they were not going to pursue the problem any further. My ford service dept/ dealer IS now flat out denying that the problem exists. At freeway speeds this vehicle IS hard to drive without a white knuckle ride. Rides better because of the new shocks and springs but the floaty, wandering drivability still very present and constant at freeway speeds. There are other nhtsa complaints and bulletins regarding this very problem with my same model van. Unacceptable. Dangerous. TL* the contact owns a 2007 ford E350. While the contact was driving less than 5 mph, approaching a traffic stop signal, the transmission exhibited a violent jerk. The vehicle continued in operation. An erratic shifting occurred when traveling at 50 mph. also, the contact observed when traveling at the speed rate between 10-20 mph an unusual noise would come from the outside of the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle exhibited a jolt when the gear selector was shifted from "drive" into the "reverse" position. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the technician informed that the power train control module would need to be reprogrammed. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 50.

Throws off tire balance and performance. wire strap that holds sensor in place breaks in half. this leaves two sharp pieces of metal whipping around inside the tire with potential for causing tire failure and accident. severe problem since this IS a commuter van with 15 passengers. *Tr

This investigation was opened based on one complaint and reports from four transportation fleets alleging 182 blower motor control switch failures.ODI was concerned that these melting and burning switches could lead to an open flame that could spread throughout the vehicle.After a comprehensive review of all data related to overheating blower motor control switches in the subject vehicles, ODI did not identify the existence of a safety defect trend.ODI reviewed 1,036 complaints, claims, and field reports of failed blower motor control switches and determined that only two fires were likely to have been caused by a failing subject blower motor control switch.This represents a failure rate of 0.2 R/100K on a population of 1,076,975 vehicles that have been in service for up to 14 years.ODI has found that when the subject switches do fail and begin to melt, they are constructed in a manner that typically prevents the failing switch from igniting and developing into an open flame.Ford Motor Company has agreed to take two actions to further reduce the likelihood an overheated blower motor switch in the subject vehicles.Ford informed ODI that it has implemented a series of design changes to the subject switch that will help prevent it from developing internal high resistance short circuits.Ford has also informed ODI that it would release a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB-11-11-21) instructing subject vehicle owners to replace the electrical connector at the same time a failed switch is replaced.In light of the low rate of failure resulting in open flame and fire spread on the subject vehicles, and Ford's actions to reduce the likelihood of a switch failure through switch design changes and a TSB, further use of agency resources does not appear to be warranted.The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by NHTSA that no safety-related defect exists.The agency reserves the right to take further action if warranted by the circumstances.The ODI complaints cited above can be reviewed at www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchNHTSAID under the following (ODI) numbers: 10427875, 10114393, 10257890For additional information, see the attached closing report.

ODI has received 1 complaint and reports from 4 transportation fleets alleging 182 switch failures.Each fleet operates mini buses built on a Ford E350 or E450 cutaway chassis.The OEM HVAC blower switches have melted, smoked, burned or experienced open flame and become inoperable on vehicles in each fleet.Some drivers have reported a burning smell or smoke coming from the dash.One fleet reported a vehicle fire.No injuries were sustained.However, the bus was carrying special needs children when the driver noticed smoke coming from the dash.The driver was able to evacuate the children prior to the vehicle becoming engulfed in flames.This PE has been upgraded to an Engineering Analysis (EA) to determine if the blower motor switch failures create a situation where a vehicle fire is possible and presents a safety risk to the driver and other passengers.

The internal software issue leads to a false check trailer brake message and Trailer Brake Controller fault whenever the brake pedal is pressed. This will cause the part to be replaced, due to repetitive dashboard warning light, even though it sends signals to the trailer brakes properly.
