If the plastic coating of the fuel filler and/or breather pipe IS damaged, salt water may accumulate between the plastic coating and the steel pipes, and the accumulation could cause corrossion which would eventually rust through the affected pipes, allowing gasoline fumes and fuel to leak.

Gasoline fumes and/or fuel leakage through the filler orbreather pipes could result in a fire when exposed to a source of ignition.
Remedy
Corroded filler or breather pipes will be cleaned and recoated or replaced as needed.
Wire in battery charging circuit cannot tolerate the maximum current drawn by the alternator. Under repeated high electrical load, heat will build up at connector terminal area, melting the plastic wire harness, possibly discharging battery.

I contacted the local honda dealer about said part as it IS under recall, however he stated that I would have to pay to have it replaced. No safety defect listed in the summary. *ak

Water leak into truck from where the fuel filler pipe mounts to the wheel well. problem not fixed as part of recall involving the fuel filler pipe.

Both driver's side and passenger's side shoulder belts are too short, causing the shoulder belts to fit very tightly. shoulder portion IS uncomfortable and impossible to wear. consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has yet to replace parts. *ak

The seatbelts simply don't fit across my body without choking me and are very difficult to snap into position and I am my husband are not large people.
